Elgan Dreadwood |

Elgan howls in the language of Nature, (sounding surprisingly like a rushing river at one point) and the Jolly Green giant responds in kind, charging at the nearest unfallen demon,...
Jolly Green giant to the rescue! Charge, +PIp's song, +/- Power attack?;
1d20 + 23 ⇒ (12) + 23 = 352d8 + 26 ⇒ (3, 1) + 26 = 301d20 + 18 ⇒ (4) + 18 = 222d8 + 17 ⇒ (5, 4) + 17 = 26
And The daring druid dashes forward to stand behind his summoned friend, and, seeing his friend 'Altee' get hit by a spell, swiftly enlarges into a treant and reaches over the giant to swat at the demon himself,...
Presuming that the giant clsed with the demon, if not then Jolly is using reach to hit, forcing Elgan to stand next to him to hit as well.
2 Treant slams! (+lightning/fire dmg!)
1d20 + 18 ⇒ (12) + 18 = 301d8 + 14 + 1d6 + 1d6 ⇒ (8) + 14 + (4) + (4) = 301d20 + 18 ⇒ (3) + 18 = 211d8 + 14 + 1d6 + 1d6 ⇒ (1) + 14 + (4) + (5) = 24

The JGG can’t charge the demon in OPQ 567 ‘cos Hnoss is in the way – I think he can get to ST 7-8 in a single move and still attack though. OR he could charge the other glabrezu, but he will be out on his own then, no one else is currently near that one. Up to you Ragadolf.
Elgan is about 75 feet from the nearest glabrezu and doesn’t have a clear line for a charge, so I’m not sure if he will be able to attack it this round (unless the movement and reach of his treant form allows him to do so ...

dungeonmaster heathy |

His land speed is 20 feet in treant form, so he could get up to close in melee if he wanted to, but he couldn't attack this round.
Yeah; JGG can't charge opq 5-7, though he could charge the one at tuv 1-2-3, which could be useful; JGG is a "meat shield" after all.
Or maybe a beef with broccoli shield.

Stigwold Mæch'Hæmmær |

Stiggy takes 94 h.p. in damage.
This one must die.
"FAARRRK! Holy crrap a Moradin tha' hart! Ya mammyfarkin bastart!"
<Stig puts everything into it.>

Gjetost allready kilt that one. There's another one 35 feet due north, and one 20 feet north west. The latter is meleed by Claw and Gjetost, the former is meleed by nobody; though perhaps JGG will attack it.
You are, however, injured within either one's ability to kill you with one good round's worth of attacks.

Stigwold Mæch'Hæmmær |

Whoa. Don't move. Drink a barkskin (AC 29) and some white fire (kill the pain).
<He shouts at the unengaged enemy combatant.>
"Guid day ye mammyfarker, Ah cannae gie ower thaur, yer mukker seems tae hae grievoosly farked up mah leg sae wa dornt ye come ower haur... Sae Ah can kill ye. Plus Aam feelin' a wee woozy efter 'at lest whallopin."

Elgan Dreadwood |

OKies, Have the JGG move to engage the second one, so it doesn'tgang up on anybody, and Elgan moves forward and slaps some lvl 5 healing on the dwarf buddy. He saves his Treeform (which is a minor action, YAY!) for next round.
Been a long time since I cast a heal this high, Burn a 5th lvl spell for a Cure,... 5d6+11?
5d6 + 11 ⇒ (4, 5, 2, 6, 4) + 11 = 32

Yeah ... point is if Stig double moves to get some healing mojo, he can't pop his barkskin potion. Personally I reckon I'd take the healing. These guys have something like +30 to hit (I'm probably exaggerating but its a lot) so increased AC probably won't help much.

YES! I'll move towards him (In elvin form, good speed) and when he gets near me, I'll pop the heal using the roll above!

dungeonmaster heathy |

Or an hour and 25 minutes....
right on; Stig feels much better as Elgan busts 32 more hit points on his wounded friend.
Now the demons:
tuv 1-2-3 unleashes his fury on the JGG.
115 in damage to the JGG, 5 hits and a rend.
The other one unloads on Gjetost.
3 hits;
51 h.p. damage to the stone giant.
No d.r. for Gjetost.......
Group's attack;
Altai's got 1 more round of stunning, Hnoss has 2.

Not quite 30, but it's up there...

Beldan Vale |

Wow that’s a lot of damage.
Beldan tries to dodge past the lumbering demon’s flailing claws, looking for an opening where he can do some serious damage.
Tumble to N4 to flank with Claw. Acrobatics: 1d20 + 26 ⇒ (8) + 26 = 34. Sneak attack with rapier: 1d20 + 22 ⇒ (13) + 22 = 35 Damage: 1d6 + 3 + 6d6 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 3 + (3, 2, 5, 4, 4, 3) + 6 = 32 including bleed, plus 2 strength damage. He’ll get DR ‘cos I ain’t holy.

Claw the Golem |

Claw lashes out at the massive demon.
5' step to QR 9-10 before unloading on the glabrezu. Attack 1: 10+16+3(bard)+2(flank w/Beldan)=AC 31, damage 19+8+3+2=30. Attack 2: 13+16+3+2=AC 34, damage 18+8+3=29.
Gjetost pounds away at the glabrezu.
No move. Attack 1: 12+19+3(bard)-3(power attack)=AC 31, damage 12+16+3(bard)+9(power attack)+12(smite evil)=52, and the attack counts as Good. Attack 2: 15+14+3-3=AC 29, damage 10+16+3+9=38.

Altai Iscarni |

Die, you big galoot! Lie down and die!!! Man, DR is a nice thing... I presume their SR will be too much for Altai to punch through, so I'll start buffing people next round. Start off with Haste and then see what comes next, Mistah Green's expert opinions be damned.

Mistah Green’s expert opinion of course ignores SR and bad guys maybe making their saving throws ...
And yeah, DR is nice to have, particularly when we got no cleric to cast align weapon.

Pip can heal the Stigmeister this round if they both move and meet halfway. Or Pip might want to pop off his Holy Cacophony now, although with the glabs both in melee it’s less likely they’ll be using their spell-like abilities. Or Elgan (who is next to Stig anyway) could heal him, freeing up Stig and Pip to do something else this round. If Stig is healed up before he acts, he can charge the nearest demon, naybe take it out if we’re lucky, so it might make sense for Elgan to dish out more healing if he can and Pip do something else, holy cacophony or drop a haste.

Beldan Vale |

Well, you can charge the demon and attack now if you want ... maybe its had enough hits that you’ll take it down. Or you can see if Elgan wants to heal you, or move towards Pip who has offered to. Pip can’t reach you and heal you in one turn if you don’t meet him halfway. Pip has said he’s in.

Now that you put it that way. Charge.
att 1d20 + 20 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 20 + 3 + 2 = 44
dam 2d6 + 24 + 3 ⇒ (1, 6) + 24 + 3 = 34

Elgan Dreadwood |

Yeah, Elgan met up and converted a spell to heal Stig for 32 points, then it was his action I guess. I also believe that I already posted the attacks for the JGG this round, (Unless I'm lost again, and it's the NEXT round?!?) ;P The JGG is currently occupying the last remaining Demon so it doesn't gang up on us like we are on his buddy! ;)

Elgan Dreadwood |

The Jolly Green Giant continues to pound on the other demon, trying to keep it from joining forces with it's ugly twin.
2 great club attacks, with all bonuses I think,...
1d20 + 24 ⇒ (2) + 24 = 262d8 + 24 ⇒ (6, 3) + 24 = 331d20 + 18 ⇒ (15) + 18 = 332d8 + 24 ⇒ (6, 1) + 24 = 31
Oh, didn't add/subtract Power Attack on that one,...
Elgan races up behind the others, ready to back them up, and slaps another heal on Stig,...
5d6 + 11 ⇒ (1, 2, 3, 4, 2) + 11 = 23

dungeonmaster heathy |

Elgan slaps Stig with another heal, and he charges up the middle.
Stuff goes all slow motion/sped up/slow motion/sped up as the portly one runs at the demon like in 300......and his blow slams into it's chest, and it slomo flies back from the critical impact, to plap dead in the snow.
Then Stiggy goes "Grrrrrrooooooooaaaaaahhhhhhh!" in slomo.
Then the JGG smacks his foe one good time; the first one glances off of a massive crabclaw.
PIP is up to bat!!!

![]() |

Gjetost is pretty messed up - he's down about 70 hp. So since Pip can't quite get over to the demon and play his Celestial cacophony, he jogs over to the celestial giant and slaps him with a Cure critical wounds. Gjetost recovers 4d8+12=30 hit points.
So, after everybody's done scurrying about, Stig is in P8, Pip is in P10 and Elgan brings up the rear in O11. The last demon is up; I fear the Jolly Green Giant is about to be reduced to arugula. :§

dungeonmaster heathy |

Hmmm... The JGG has DR 10/magic and slashing. The glabrezu's natural attacks are certainly slashing, but do they also count as magic? It is a rather magical creature...
Missed that detail....credited the JGG a slew of hit points...60 to be precise.
Then, the glabby hits him; 5 hits and 1 rend again. 58 hit pts. damage.....
groups go!
Altai's no longer stunned.

Claw the Golem |

Claw rumbles into melee with the last demon..
Move to ST 5-6 before attacking the glabrezu. Sadly, this provokes an AoO. Attack roll 10+16+3(bard)=AC 29, damage 13+8+3=24.
Gjetost follows the golem.
Move to RS 1-2. Attack roll 11+19+3(bard)+1(Haste)-3(power attack)=AC 31, damage 9+16+3(bard)+9(power attack)=37.
