Pendobar 'Pip' Bushytoe |
just need a set of percep/stealth rolls from Gittik and Pip, and positions and whatnot....I'll start the next wild rumpus when I get home tonight I reckon.
You need another from Pip?
Percep/Stealth: 1d20 + 23 ⇒ (5) + 23 = 281d20 + 17 ⇒ (7) + 17 = 24

Ogay.
The room spins 90 degrees. the alcove at d7 that connected to the hallway now connects to an identical room to above; just draw this new room with an alcove at d8, at the bottom of your map and you're good to go. Tell me if this makes sense(?)
You see 5 strange females in vudran getups with bows and swords and spears and all manner of weird bladed weaponry. They're dressed in silk like dancing girls, and look human except for their three tusked heads and six arms each.
The front one is at d11 in the other room; there's one at d12, d14, b11, and f11.
The one at d12 shoots Stiggy with an arrow. It bounces off his breastplate ineffectually, and Tenser snaps it up in his jaws.
Everybody but Stiggy and the Golem get a standard action, then it's initiative.
Altai Iscarni |
Got it. I misdrew the original room, but it's corrected now.
Altai makes a quick gesture. A small ember flies into the adjoining room, where it bursts into a massive explosion.
Fireball! It lands in E11. Damage 10d6=41, Reflex 20 for half damage.
Gittik prepares an attack in case any of the multi-armed freaks rush the party.
Altai Iscarni |
"You might want to step out of the way unless you want to be trampled by the golem. He's not the nimbles fellow around", Altai mutters to the drow.
Right on.....they can't reflex yet. They take a hard blast of helloven heat, their silks are melted to their skin, and their skin is blackened; they stand to their arms though, all six of them.
One of the many incredibly disgusting 'educational' videos they showed us in the Army was about the unpleasant side effects of your sleeping bag catching fire. Getting melted fibres all over you is, to put it mildly, a fate I wouldn't wish on my worst enemies.
dungeonmaster heathy |
yeah.....I've often wondered in passing about wizards and their alignments or even sanity. Could you imagine in battle immolating countless foes with fireballs? If you weren't chaotic evil and psychotic, how could you sleep at night?
I guess that'd apply to everybody else, but burning is the worst.
Don't feel bad though; these creatures have six arms filled with weird Vudran blade weapons, and they're not going to play pat-a-cake, given the chance.
Beldan Vale |
Beldan five foot steps to E5 to get clear line of sight down the corridor to D11, rapid loading his crossbow (free action) as he goes – then fires at the three faced dancing girl in D11.
She’s just within 30 feet, so sneak attack should apply (if she is flat footed and / or unaware of Beldan) as does point blank shot.
Masterwork crossbow: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (19) + 16 = 35 Damage: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8 + sneak attack: 6d6 ⇒ (5, 3, 3, 6, 6, 3) = 26 + 6 points bleed + 2 points of strength damage.
EDIT: crit confirm: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (10) + 16 = 26 Damage: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
Elgan Dreadwood |
Elgan, for some reason, decides to hang back instead of charging forward as has been his usual MO lately. Perhaps he figures that if he has to bet on him and Altai's golem trying to occupy the same space at the same time,... he'd also bet on the golem?!?
He whistles ina strange warbling way, and after a moment of eerie silence, there is a chittering heard, a chittering that quickly grows very loud,...
Casts SUmmon Swarm on the 'ladies', hanging back as backup or healing, or whatever.

Beldan puts a crossbow bolt into the convergence of two of her necks, and the blood flows freely. She's direly and gravely wounded, and won't last much longer in this fight.

The swarm will show up next round on Elgan's turn.
Oso Legumbe |
Are they really there? Oso still has true seeing running and it will last ten minutes. Nice to remind you anyway, I was pleased when I found it isn't only 10 rounds. right enough geekyness.
Oso moves to the front and centre raising his sword Voidwand and shield, ready for battle.
Pendobar 'Pip' Bushytoe |
Pip's up, then it's initiative, which I'll do at home in 8 or 9 hours.
Pip will caste a Haste to get things movin, and fire up Lucille for the +3 ATK/DAM/CHARM/Fear Inspire Courage
Pip hits a power chord
"I don't know
But I been told
Multi-armed women
Ain't got no soul .."
Pendobar 'Pip' Bushytoe |
Pip plays everybody's favorite U.S. Army jogging cadence.....
and the cosmic dice roll.
Initiative.
They got a 23.
LOL, I was going for >Black Dog< by the Mighty Zep, but cadence works too =P
Pip keeps strumming faster and faster as the haste hits
"Sound off!
One two!
Sound off!
Three four!
Bring on back now
One two three four
One two
THREE FOUR!"
Beldan Vale |
... and bursts into hasted action.
Target D11 first, then if she drops 5 foot step to D6 and target D12, then D14 if somehow she drops. Attacks against D11 and D12 are sneak attacks, D14 is not (and subtract 1 from hit and damage ‘cos I can’t use point blank shot). Using Deadly Aim on all shots. Rapid reloading.
Masterwork crossbow attack 1: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (17) + 17 = 34 Damage: 1d8 + 10 ⇒ (7) + 10 = 17 + Sneak Attack: 6d6 ⇒ (3, 4, 3, 5, 4, 4) = 23
Masterwork crossbow attack 2: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (12) + 17 = 29 Damage: 1d8 + 10 ⇒ (3) + 10 = 13 + Sneak Attack: 6d6 ⇒ (3, 6, 1, 2, 4, 1) = 17 + 6 points bleed and 2 strength damage if new target.
Masterwork crossbow attack 3: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (11) + 12 = 23 Damage: 1d8 + 10 ⇒ (5) + 10 = 15 + Sneak Attack: 6d6 ⇒ (5, 1, 5, 5, 5, 1) = 22 (no sneak attack damage and subtract 1 to hit and damage if this is on D14.
dungeonmaster heathy |
They move in a flurry of silk and steel, tumbling around Beldan, Gittik and Stiggy; sliding adroitly into the room.
The one at d12 move to e5, attacking Stiggy; Stiggy takes 13 h.p. in damage.
The one at b11 moves to e6,
Gittik gets an aoo on her, and she attacks Stiggy for 9 h.p. in damage with a blade.
The one at f11 moves to d7, swinging and missing Beldan.
The one at d14 moves to d8, stabbing past her sister(?) with a spear; hitting Beldan for 15 h.p.
And a beauteous, tall female with skin like polished skyblue marble steps out of the wall; she's now at bc 4-5.
She stabs poor Gittik in the back with a scimitar for 39 h.p. in damage.
Group's attack.
Beldan Vale |
“Oh bugger!” curses Beldan as the women slip past and around him, then “Oow!” as he’s poked with a spear.
He looks around desperately. “Stig, you take that one (E6), I’ll sneak attack the sh*t out of this one (E5) if Elgan stays where he is or swaps with Oso. Elgan, you don’t have room to go dire in here, what can you do small scale? Altai, anything you can do about spear-happy back there?”
Beldan goes again before they do, but I'll try to wait until everyone else has had their turn first.
Claw the Golem |
*ROWWWR!!!*
With a snarl, Claw reaches for the large new arrival, intending to tear her limb from limb.
Attack 1: 11+16+1(haste)+3(bard)=AC 31, damage 19+8+3(bard)=27. Attack 2: 9+16+1(haste)+3(bard)=AC 29, damage 17+8+3(bard)=28. Attack 3: 14+16+1(haste)+3(bard)=AC 34, damage 20+8+3(bard)=31.
