Nope, not me! (and I had a good chance too!) ;PInit:
1d20+3AND,... the elf trips going up the stairs?!? (what the? The dice gods hate ME now!)
Not quite....Elgan stuttersteps a little, but ends up crouching and ready for combat.

oh and tangential;....I plan on getting the APG fairly soon; either the next time we level OR I'll try to set up a "rebuild quest" to some nebulous magical "Wonderous Cenote of Xibla Xibaqiqi" where you can alter the s+++ out of your character if you so desire. Haven't seen the APG yet, so I don't entirely know how sexy the idea is.
Hell, maybe a trip to Limbo or somewhere bizarre where the possibilities can be altered and swapped around, so Oso can do his plane shifting......

The snake that Beldan didn't hit seems to start swaying to the rhythm of Pip's playing.....so nice.....so.....nice....lulled by the tinkling music.
The other one's not phased; he's got a crossbow bolt in his neck.
Gittik I know can try to hit in the stealth round, then it's revelation of initiative time.
dungeonmaster heathy |
Allright. Gittik didn't win.
It's their attack; they won initiative.
Pip's snake keeps swaying to the rhythm of the bawdy tune, and that's all it does.
The other snake moves to bcde 3-6, and strikes at Beldan with wicked fangs.
Beldan is missed, the snake strikes the wall and gouges out some of the stonework; a brief rain of dirt and detritis are all the damage Beldan takes.
The drow maid runs to the east wall, and starts touching the wall like, pressing on bricks. She's at L13.
Everybody's attack!!!
dungeonmaster heathy |
This stinks of a trap. Oso's got True seeing up and running. Can he see anything interesting?
huh. That spell does just about everything; I thought it just revealed doppelgangers and possessed byoches.
Oso can see everything as it is.
He sees that the snakes are snakes.
The drow is a drow.
And Oso can see the invisible guy standing upsidedown on the ceiling, 15 feet up, at f3. The invisible monkey headed guy.
Altai Iscarni |
Hmmmm... I don't want to unload on the whole room as I don't want to startle the other cobra, so I'll just cast Light on a rock and toss it into the room. It lands somewhere to the left of the stairs, and should help Gittik and others without Darkvision to find their way around.
Elgan Dreadwood |
Heh. No argument there Heathy! ;)
SO Elgan charges inward, with his dire green lion buddy from your DM page, and the LIon ENTANGLES everything in sight! (centering on the cobras) Hopefully catching the dark chick as well. No way it gonna hit the monkeyman on the ceiling. The druid is poised to cast, but hesitates, unsure of where to aim his SWARM spell without being able to see the beast.
Rest of move if someone glitters the Rak, or he gets another target to whack.
Altai Iscarni |
Entangle doesn't function on worked surfaces, so unless this is a natural cave or it is filled with vines or moss or something like that, it won't do much. It might be better to just send the dandelion into melee with the übercobra, especially as it can pounce.
dungeonmaster heathy |
Entangle won't work in the cave;...
When Elgan moves, the rak gestures and a gout of flame pours down and strikes both Elgan and the lion; 26 h.p. in damage each: 13 of this is fire and 13 of this is divine energy; reflex save d.c. 17 for half damage.
Finally, running, you can get up on either snake (the one Beldan hit or the one Pip is charming), or the drow if you wish.

does monkeyrak come visible when he does his flame trick?
dungeonmaster heathy |
Oh;...and I guess that running down stairs you can't really charge.
40 feet of movement for the lion means it can attack either snake once, or close with the drow.
Elgan can close with either of them, or he could attack the one on Beldan by standing on the stairs; I reckon the lion could do that as well.
Altai Iscarni |
I like ole Claw.
He's pretty cool. I remember there were some extra design options in an old Dragon issue, like more arms and giving him actual intelligence. A smart golem would get feats and skill ranks, which would be a bit too cool. I couldn't find the issue, though, so it never came up - but it was in the back of my mind when I gave him a rakshasa head. Hopefully the apeshasa will recognise him. ;D
dungeonmaster heathy |
The snake (fumbles) ducks his head in fear like a goof when Beldan launches over it; he's able to springboard off it's head and surf down it's neck like Legolas off of that big assed elephant in that movie.
(f*@# it; they're 11th level they should be able to pull hardcore s~!*).
Bel's behind the snake; can pick an open square.
Beldan Vale |
Vatts, which square is Altai’s light spell centred on? If its down near the drow, it may not help the people fighting near the doorway (which will still be in darkness), but on the other hand will be great for Beldan, as he can use his cloak of the bat to fly up and fight the rakshasa ... placement of the light is important, as I can only fly in darkness or near darkness.

Vatts, which square is Altai’s light spell centred on?
I meant to put it in E10 or thereabouts - I don't want to spook the charmed snake, which is kinda inconvenient as it is close to the drow. We also need to think a bit about positions. So after Beldan's move, the dandelion is in FG 4-5 and Elgan in G3?
