I AM THE LORD OF ALL HELLFIRE!!!!!

I should've wrote "beat a 29 perception with your stealth roll;" Bel allready did that, and Elgan didn't;
also Bel allready rolled init for the whole crew I reckon; I'm running with that.
Everybody else can try to stealth the snakes as well.

Nope, not me! (and I had a good chance too!) ;P

Init:
1d20+3

AND,... the elf trips going up the stairs?!? (what the? The dice gods hate ME now!)

Not quite....Elgan stuttersteps a little, but ends up crouching and ready for combat.

I AM THE LORD OF ALL HELLFIRE!!!!!

oh and tangential;....I plan on getting the APG fairly soon; either the next time we level OR I'll try to set up a "rebuild quest" to some nebulous magical "Wonderous Cenote of Xibla Xibaqiqi" where you can alter the s+++ out of your character if you so desire. Haven't seen the APG yet, so I don't entirely know how sexy the idea is.
Hell, maybe a trip to Limbo or somewhere bizarre where the possibilities can be altered and swapped around, so Oso can do his plane shifting......

Male Human Wizard 17 (Conjuration specialist)

No way I can get my Stealth that high...

I AM THE LORD OF ALL HELLFIRE!!!!!

I doubt Stiggy could; guess I'll see if Gittik, Pip, maybe Oso(?) want to give it a go I reckon.

I AM THE LORD OF ALL HELLFIRE!!!!!

Prolly not Oso either.

Bard 8/ Troubadour of Stars 9 Epic Shredder

Pip tries to creep up into playing position, keeping a wary eye out for surprises.

Stealth/Perform(Strings)/Perception:1d20 + 23 ⇒ (20) + 23 = 431d20 + 23 ⇒ (17) + 23 = 401d20 + 17 ⇒ (18) + 17 = 35

No +3 boni this round I guess.

EDIT: WOW! Ninja hobniz!

I AM THE LORD OF ALL HELLFIRE!!!!!

The snake that Beldan didn't hit seems to start swaying to the rhythm of Pip's playing.....so nice.....so.....nice....lulled by the tinkling music.
The other one's not phased; he's got a crossbow bolt in his neck.

Gittik I know can try to hit in the stealth round, then it's revelation of initiative time.

I AM THE LORD OF ALL HELLFIRE!!!!!

Waiting on Gittik; as I don't think Oso or Stiggy can beat the perception roll with their stealth. Then I can reveal the initiative result.

Male Human Rogue 14

Gittik’s Stealth roll: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (8) + 16 = 24

I AM THE LORD OF ALL HELLFIRE!!!!!

Allright. Gittik didn't win.

It's their attack; they won initiative.

Pip's snake keeps swaying to the rhythm of the bawdy tune, and that's all it does.

The other snake moves to bcde 3-6, and strikes at Beldan with wicked fangs.

Beldan is missed, the snake strikes the wall and gouges out some of the stonework; a brief rain of dirt and detritis are all the damage Beldan takes.

The drow maid runs to the east wall, and starts touching the wall like, pressing on bricks. She's at L13.

Everybody's attack!!!

I AM THE LORD OF ALL HELLFIRE!!!!!

Beldan has bodacious armor class.
Oh; and Pip's at g2 I reckon.

Male Human Wizard 17 (Conjuration specialist)

This stinks of a trap. Oso's got True seeing up and running. Can he see anything interesting?

Male Human Rogue 14

Yeah, for a rogue with average strength and no twf, he’s not too bad in combat young Beldan.
As we didn’t win init anyway, I’ll delay for now; see if I can move somewhere to set up a flank once others get into position.

Male Human Rogue 14

Btw, Beldan has his goggles of night on, but is there any light in this place otherwise?

I AM THE LORD OF ALL HELLFIRE!!!!!
Altai Iscarni wrote:

huh. That spell does just about everything; I thought it just revealed doppelgangers and possessed byoches.

Oso can see everything as it is.
He sees that the snakes are snakes.
The drow is a drow.

And Oso can see the invisible guy standing upsidedown on the ceiling, 15 feet up, at f3. The invisible monkey headed guy.

I AM THE LORD OF ALL HELLFIRE!!!!!
Beldan Vale wrote:

Nope. It's pitch black, except for some light creeping about 10 feet into the room from the hallway.

Male Human Wizard 17 (Conjuration specialist)

Hmmmm... I don't want to unload on the whole room as I don't want to startle the other cobra, so I'll just cast Light on a rock and toss it into the room. It lands somewhere to the left of the stairs, and should help Gittik and others without Darkvision to find their way around.

I AM THE LORD OF ALL HELLFIRE!!!!!

Now everybody can see, though only Oso can see the monkey.

I AM THE LORD OF ALL HELLFIRE!!!!!

And the drow lets out a little whimper at the advent of her enemy light; she shields her eyes with the crook of one arm now as she gropes at the wall.

Male Human Wizard 17 (Conjuration specialist)

I should cast Light directly at her, just to mess her up. She'll get a save, but still...

I AM THE LORD OF ALL HELLFIRE!!!!!

heh heh.....what if she's a good Drizzdrow? ;)

Male Human Wizard 17 (Conjuration specialist)

Then she can be all moody and complain that the surfacers just don't understand and judge you by the colour of your skin and yadda yadda. See, I'm setting you up for immersive storytelling here, man. ;P

I AM THE LORD OF ALL HELLFIRE!!!!!

nobody understands me. I'm perfect to tell this story.

Male Wild Elf Druid 16 (Shifter version, PHBII)

Heh. No argument there Heathy! ;)

SO Elgan charges inward, with his dire green lion buddy from your DM page, and the LIon ENTANGLES everything in sight! (centering on the cobras) Hopefully catching the dark chick as well. No way it gonna hit the monkeyman on the ceiling. The druid is poised to cast, but hesitates, unsure of where to aim his SWARM spell without being able to see the beast.

Rest of move if someone glitters the Rak, or he gets another target to whack.

Male Human Wizard 17 (Conjuration specialist)

Entangle doesn't function on worked surfaces, so unless this is a natural cave or it is filled with vines or moss or something like that, it won't do much. It might be better to just send the dandelion into melee with the übercobra, especially as it can pounce.

Male Wild Elf Druid 16 (Shifter version, PHBII)

Oh, yeah, good point. (Grumble) SO, what does POUNCE do exactly? again? (off to research, then sleep!) ;)

Full attack on a charge - including rake if it can do that.

I AM THE LORD OF ALL HELLFIRE!!!!!

Entangle won't work in the cave;...

When Elgan moves, the rak gestures and a gout of flame pours down and strikes both Elgan and the lion; 26 h.p. in damage each: 13 of this is fire and 13 of this is divine energy; reflex save d.c. 17 for half damage.

Finally, running, you can get up on either snake (the one Beldan hit or the one Pip is charming), or the drow if you wish.

does monkeyrak come visible when he does his flame trick?

I AM THE LORD OF ALL HELLFIRE!!!!!

Yes. He. Does.

I AM THE LORD OF ALL HELLFIRE!!!!!

Oh;...and I guess that running down stairs you can't really charge.
40 feet of movement for the lion means it can attack either snake once, or close with the drow.
Elgan can close with either of them, or he could attack the one on Beldan by standing on the stairs; I reckon the lion could do that as well.

(lol) just realized....this is how a monkey would go about it I reckon....up on a branch, hurling poo poo (or flaming poo) down on its enemies.

Guess I understand monkeys too damn well; this was a subconscious decision.

He's pretty cool. I remember there were some extra design options in an old Dragon issue, like more arms and giving him actual intelligence. A smart golem would get feats and skill ranks, which would be a bit too cool. I couldn't find the issue, though, so it never came up - but it was in the back of my mind when I gave him a rakshasa head. Hopefully the apeshasa will recognise him. ;D

Advanced flesh golem shield guardian

"Ghhnnnng." Claw points at the apeshasa with a serrated hand-blade.

I AM THE LORD OF ALL HELLFIRE!!!!!

heh heh....that's effed up.
You're fighting a guy with a golem and it turns out a buddy of yours gave up parts for the Frankenstein in question.

I AM THE LORD OF ALL HELLFIRE!!!!!
Claw the Golem wrote:

The apeshasa looks startled for a minute.

Then he laughs and laughs, a spastic affair, with a big fangy toothy smile on his face.

Male Human Rogue 14

"Laugh it up fuzzball."

I AM THE LORD OF ALL HELLFIRE!!!!!

*mwahahahaha!*
good one.
I gotta crash; will be at work till 9-10 pm tomorrow so I won't be home till late.
This round, Altai went, waiting for clarification from Elgan, and then everybody else is up to bat.
Nitey nite!!!

Male Human Rogue 14

I assume Elgan’s lion will probably attack the uncharmed snake, and will probably be somewhere in front of Beldan and Pip to do so. Beldan’s going to try to tumble through the snake’s space to get behind it. DC is 5 + snakes CMD. Acrobatics: 1d20 + 24 ⇒ (14) + 24 = 38

I AM THE LORD OF ALL HELLFIRE!!!!!

The snake (fumbles) ducks his head in fear like a goof when Beldan launches over it; he's able to springboard off it's head and surf down it's neck like Legolas off of that big assed elephant in that movie.
(f*@# it; they're 11th level they should be able to pull hardcore s~!*).
Bel's behind the snake; can pick an open square.

Male Human Rogue 14

Cool! A4, he’ll attack with his rapier, flanking with the lion.
Keen rapier: 1d20 + 19 ⇒ (7) + 19 = 26. Damage: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8 + sneak attack 6d6 ⇒ (4, 2, 2, 6, 4, 4) = 22 + 5 points of bleed damage, + 2 points of strength damage.

I AM THE LORD OF ALL HELLFIRE!!!!!

Beldan stabs the snake; he got it real good, near the spine. It's still moving, but it's a really dire wound on the serpent.

I AM THE LORD OF ALL HELLFIRE!!!!!

So Altai AND Bel went; Elgan to clarify, and everybody else's turns.

Male Human Rogue 14

Vatts, which square is Altai’s light spell centred on? If its down near the drow, it may not help the people fighting near the doorway (which will still be in darkness), but on the other hand will be great for Beldan, as he can use his cloak of the bat to fly up and fight the rakshasa ... placement of the light is important, as I can only fly in darkness or near darkness.

Male Human Wizard 17 (Conjuration specialist)
Beldan Vale wrote:

I meant to put it in E10 or thereabouts - I don't want to spook the charmed snake, which is kinda inconvenient as it is close to the drow. We also need to think a bit about positions. So after Beldan's move, the dandelion is in FG 4-5 and Elgan in G3?
