Khayal repeats his attack. In battle you win the fight before you pull out the bandaids.
Hajar's gnoll goes down under Yazi's blade.

Bartan draws another card from his harrow deck, casting a spell while doing so.

Bartan then jumps down to the ground from his perch in the tree. to land on his feet damage!
Dhavyn's jubilation is short lived as the bird retaliates with vengeful speed. His next spell ends into a short surprised gurgle as bird's claws tear into unprotected flesh, flaying skin and shredding into organs. He crumbles into a blood-soaked heap and remains dying.
-1 hp next round unless revived (taking roll in advance)
Avenka thinks fast for a second and sees Dhavyn dying, so she decides Anjali and Khayal will have to be enough for now VS the bird.
She is willing to receive AOO to go to the sorcerer's body and move him away, trying to shield him with her back to the bird.

ROUND2 ACTIONS
Dhavyn regains consciousness thanks to Anjali's healing. He groans from pain as Avenka's helpful attempts to drag him into safer location. Using Avenka's aid he pulls away from the bird and whispers
מאַגע אַרמאָר erecting a protective shielding around his body.
ROUND 3 ACTIONS
Staggering away from Avenka Dhavyn heads towards Anjali. Careful not to hit Avenka or Khayal with his spell Dhavyn directs the fan of flame towards the lake but still catching the bird within its vengeful inferno. "Finish it Avenka!" he croaks.
"Yazi!!!"
Bartan stands up, casts a spell and hurls a harrow card at C.

"Though I may not be able to turn the tide of this battle on my own, prophecy dictates that you will be destroyed!!"

Avenka 5 ft step, rages and attacks :
Anjali's looks around, pained at the decision she has to make. On both sides of the water, someone needs her healing. But she quickly realizes she cannot possibly position herself to heal everyone this time. The crossbow she clutches in her hands is useless.
Biting her lip hard, she watches Dhavyn stagger towards her. "ਹੁਣ ਮੇਰੇ 'ਤੇ ਮਰਦੇ ਨਹੀ ਕਰਦੇ. ਅਸ ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਅੱਗ ਦੀ ਲੋੜ ਹੈ."
"Dhavyndor, stay strong. Stay by me. We need your fire!"
Khayal has also taken grave injuries from the creature. Anjali's choice is suddenly made for her. If I save these two, then we may buy enough time for me to heal the other. She moves a few steps, desperately thrusting her hand up as the words of healing rush out of her.

Still shaken from his near death experience but determined to aid the others Dhavyn staggers towards the Gnolls His gait grows steadier as more of Anjali's power washes over him knitting flesh and bone.
Skipping across the rocky path formed by the stones he gathers his power unleashing a fiery beam at the Gnoll . Bolstered by Anjali's words the searing beam strikes past Khayal and hits the Gnoll in the chest. The air is filled with sudden smell of burnt fur.
Khayal closes the short distance between him and 'd'.
He slashes with both Kukris, smiling as they whistle through the air.
He frowns as nither blade homes true.
Hoping to finish off gnoll C, Bartan pulls another harrow card, praying to Irez under his breath that it will strike true.

"The betrayal of your beautiful friend, the harpy, will be avenge through your blood!"
The card frosts over a bit, and as he throws it the card seems to take on the shape of a dagger, veering in an arc to "stab" the gnoll directly in the back.

Lady of the Morning give me strength! Hajar says softly as he raises Tempest.
The healing power of the sun washes over him.
And he swings Tempest at the gnoll to his right
Avenka double-moves, and when she is near Dhavyn, asks:
"You all right sorcerer ?"
Gasping for breath after all exertion Dhavyn answers to Avenka tersely "I nearly got eviscerated only to be pulled back together mere moments later, and I've channeled enough energy to set a small house on fire... I'm exhausted, in no insignificant amount of pain, and my clothes are in shreds. So no. I'm not "okay"... but I'll survive."
He draws another gasp and gathers more power even as his allies cut into remaining Gnolls with a spell and a blade alike. "Impressive work on the bird nevertheless. Now let's finish these pests." he adds.
Avenka thinks to herself The sorcerer is as sarcastic and ironic as always, so he seems ok to me
Gnoll C dies a miserable death by Bartan's card and Tempest. And gnoll D is turned into shishka-gnoll...

And now you are level 3! But no auto HP and spell restoration just yet...
With the battle over Khayal estimates the amount of time they have before the next response. It took them half an hour to respond, part of that time was mounting a response. If it took them 30 minutes to get here, it would take them less to return. They will be expected back soon. We have two choices, wait for the next group but be more prepared or fall back and strike again later. Either way we must make our decision now.
Hajar looks around, We could face them here in ground of our own choosing, or down there on their terms. Hajar, seeing Yazi still unconscious lays his hands on her

I like this ground better as well. We must be more prepared for their counter attack. I for one was not expecting a giant bird.
Anjali, do you have more of your healing that you can tap before more arrive?
Dhavyn sits wearily on a nearby rock mumbling spells to clean the clothes saturated with his own blood.
"I don't know how you people can be so chipper. I and Yazi both nearly died and she looks like a mere breeze could keel her over... If not for Anjali we would likely be dead." Dhavyn states borrowing a proverb he heard from one of the sailors while still within the relative safety of the Dancing Nereid.
He watches sadly the hole torn into the fabric and runs his fingers across the freshly knit wound.
"We need to get somewhere safe. That much I agree" he adds but makes no particular effort to move.
Bartan is shaken up as well, by the near-death of his... friend Yazi. He walks up to her and asks "Are you alright? I don't know what I'd do if something happened to you." He blushes and hurriedly adds "or any of you!"
