Nevermind. I suspect she took half damage from the previous attack
Noravia knew that she couldn't take another attack from the dragon but she needed to get close to Rizovair in order to give herself and the others a fighting chance. If this was her last act as part of the rebellion she could live with that - as long as Caleb was safe.
She was glad that she'd kept the fly potion within reach and quickly chugged the potion.
Can she switch her judgment this round to healing without jeopardizing her 'prepared' spell?
Eirik Clausen
I still don't like the chances at aerial battle against the beast, considering it will likely not stop to hover (if its even capable of) but just charges past, since Eirik would at best get one readied attack off… will try again to get it to land, as it’s not getting anywhere trying to hurt Eirik from afar… so far… if this fails he’ll start ascending.
”That the best you can do?” Eirik roared, patting his uniform coat to extinguish the few sparks that had caught the fabric. ”I don’t have all day to waste dancing around, I’ve got more important work to do! Come down here if you dare, worm!”
Intimidate: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (9) + 15 = 24 Dunno if this is the best taunting skill around, but then again, there aren't really any, outside of 4th ED.

am i right that 200 ft south of the bridge is just water? How far is it from the nearest bank/building?
Jillian Falto
Jillian was frustrated - the creature was staying too far out of range. She knew that if she started flying towards it, it could be long gone by the time she got to it.
Gotta get it to come to us, she thought. "Ha! All that I heard about the mighty Rivozair is nothing but exaggeration and lies! This is no mighty warrior! It doesn't even have the courage to face us directly! This cowardly creature prefers to stay aloft, out of range, safe in the sky. Does it tremble at the sight of us? Does it only take five small ravens to strike terror into the heart of one dragon? Let all of Kintargo know! Rivozair is afraid!"
Hoping that her taunts would bring the beast closer, she prepared herself to fly and attack as soon as it came within range.
attack: 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (14) + 18 = 32
damage: 1d8 + 9 ⇒ (3) + 9 = 12
assuming it won't be accomodating enough to come right up for a full attack, but just in case it does, then deduct 2 from the above to hit, and add the following...
shield bash: 1d20 + 17 - 2 ⇒ (10) + 17 - 2 = 25
damage: 1d8 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 7
2nd Sword: 1d20 + 13 - 2 ⇒ (18) + 13 - 2 = 29
damage: 1d8 + 9 ⇒ (7) + 9 = 16
2nd shield bash: 1d20 + 10 - 5 - 2 ⇒ (5) + 10 - 5 - 2 = 8
damage: 1d8 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8
Tillia
Tillia bode her time, her spell still ready, and watched for the dragon to come into attack range so she could dust it. When she heard the taunting and saw Jillian begin to fly at the thing she felt worry, she only hoped this wasn't another part of the dragon's trickery.

OOC:
Yes, Noravia took damage from the breath attack.
Yes, swithing judgments is a swift action and may be done alongside a standard action (readying an action).
The Bleakbridge is really more like North-South but I used the map that shows a bridge going East-West. In any case, 200' south is just water and let's say that the nearest building is another 200' away.
This what I have for this round:
Tillia readying an action to cast glitterdust when dragon attacks again;
Noravia switch judgement and drink fly potion;
Caleb cast feeblemind with Dweomer's Essence when dragon within reach again;
Eirik ready an attack if dragon comes within range; and
Jillian ready an attack if dragon comes within range.
Is this about right?
Noravia Jeggare
What Noravia does depends on what it looks like the dragon will do. Noravia would prefer to cast her spell in order to hopefully lower the dragon's SR so that there's a better chance of Caleb's feeblemind spell taking affect.
However, the dragon seems to not be coming anywhere near them and Noravia can't keep doing nothing so if the dragon stays at a distance she'll need to go to it. Hopefully if Jillian and Eirik engage the dragon then Noravia can fly somewhat unnoticed to get close to Rizovair and cast her spell.
I would prefer that she not change her original plan but she also just can't keep standing there to be hit again.
Caleb Cage
Hmm. CC can Dimension Door closer, but there's nothing to stand on.
"I can get us closer, if you have a spell to let us work on water, T."
Caleb Cage
/me is a dummy. Please change to...
"I don't like it, but I have a spell that'll let us breathe under water, and a spell to get us closer. If she stays out that way, feel like going for a dip, Tills?" Caleb asked.
@Fabian: I think I keep missing what time it is.

will change if Tillia wants in
Caleb swore, and a moment later his face warped. Gills grew from his neck, his eyes enlarged, and his hands and feet splayed. With a single graceful movement he sprung from the bridge and dived into the water.
Standard: Alter Self. Move: enter water.
Eirik Clausen
You might get close underwater, but can you get anywhere close that has a line of effect to the enemies, if they now have decided to land on the bridge?
Anyway...either readying or delaying. Delay would be better since Eirik can get a full attack off, since I somehow doubt a single readied attack will one-shot either the dragon or the devil ;^)
Or perhaps a total defence action this round, to survive the initial attack? Would be a real bummer if the enemies end up winning initiative after that, though...

dimension door. I figure the higher the dragon is, the less likelihood of obstructed LOS. I also see her flying away if she starts to take damage, so there should be a chance.
Noravia Jeggare
Is Rizovair staying 100ft up in the air? The last sentence was that she was coming down but she hasn't been coming close so I'm just checking. Noravia will do what she can to get within 30ft of Rizovair and cast her spell. But she was hoping that Eirik and Jillian would distract the dragon a bit so that Noravia won't die and all which she probably will do if she takes another hit.

Rivozair and the devil are coming down and landing on the bridge next round...
Jillian Falto
Jillian's eyes widened as she saw the spiny devil appear on the dragon's back. Great, like this wasn't already going to be hard enough. At least it's finally coming within range.
Seeing that Noravia was burned badly and bleeding, Jillian sprung into the air and raced towards the dragon. She pulled her bow as she did so, and shot it at the dragon. She didn't expect it to do much, but maybe it would give the inquisitor time to quaff a potion.
arrow: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (8) + 14 = 22
damage: 1d8 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8
Moving up only about 30 feet, hoping to get into position to flank once it lands.
Eirik Clausen
Let's do the Total Defense in that case... either the enemies charge us, and extra AC is great, or they move next to us and strike once, and extra AC is nice, or they just land close to us and we'll start over next round, in which case the extra AC won't do anything but won't hurt either.
Fabian Benavente
Can Noravia do a flyby and cast a spell at Rizovair? If she stays the 30ft away from the dragon, there shouldn't be an AoO. If not, she'll wait and use the CSW on herself.
You can't do a flyby but you can move (fly) and ready an action (cast spell when/if dragon comes within 30' of me).
I do need to know where you will be 'waiting' (readying an action).

Tillia
Tillia shook her head at Caleb's offer and said, "I'll stay up here where I know I can get my spells to go, I can't cast some of them through water." It was about then that she saw the devil appear on the dragon's back and swore as she realized this had just gotten more complicated. She was left with little she could do until the dragon came closer to her so she waited patiently for her spell to be able to reach the flying beast.
Same action as before but I will get the devil in the effect as well if possible.

how much space does the dragon take up, please? Is there anything to stop Caleb from swimming under the bridge?

The dragon's size category is 'huge' (15' by 15').
Caleb may swim under the bridge.
@Noravia: The dragon will land and attack wherever she sees people to attack. Remember that these are 'smart'.

Enjoy your guests! :)
Noravia was torn between taking the time to heal herself and waiting for the dragon to come within 30ft of her so that she could cast her spell. In the end, she decided to wait and trust Milani to protect her for a little while longer.
Alright, Noravia will wait and cast when the dragon gets within 30ft of her. I assume that will happen before next round. And then she'll cast. She'll be prepared to jump off the bridge if necessary to avoid an attack on her next round. I'm hoping that Rizovair will go after Eirik or Jillian :)

Tillia heard the dragon breathe once more and moved up to see what had happened. It was then that she saw Noravia, the woman was unmoving on the ground and burning and she felt rage. She looked at where the dragon was and spotted both it and teh devil. She chanted and gestured then the glittering pall of dust she'd been saving burst in the area where the dragon and the devil were. The two had spaced out nicely and she could only hope, as the glitter got into their eyes, that the two would be blinded for a time.
Move one square right and two down then cast Glitterdust, DC 18.
Fabian Benavente
Wow, that's Noravia's second 20 for avoiding damage. I think that speaks to Milani definitely protecting her and should equate to automatic stabilization and remaining conscious to heal herself :) ...
I'll let you stabilize automatically if you give us a nice near death scene... :)
Game on!
Caleb Cage
@Tillia: I think you already cast Glitterdust and they saved.
Damn it. I really thought it was going to do another flyby.
@Fabian: how tall is the bridge?
Jillian Falto
Any chance this dragon now counts as an outsider? If so, my sword is at +2 against it.
Jillian had been watching this thing for nearly half a minute, and she was starting to understand the way it moved. Hopefully she could use that to her advantage. Flying in a wide berth around it, she attacked from behind, hoping to turn its attention away from Noravia.
She flew in screaming at it, but she was unused to the whole flying thing, and was unable to pierce the creature's scaly hide.
Assuming a 22 won't hit a dragon. Should have enough move to come in from the east without drawing an AoO. That way I can hopefully flank with somebody eventually.
attack, stud. targ: 1d20 + 8 + 3 ⇒ (11) + 8 + 3 = 22
damage: 1d8 + 9 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 9 + 3 = 14

No, I haven't. I wasn't in a place to see them before. He also never rolled the saves, I checked.
No, Caleb is right and I had Tillia cast glitterdust before the dragon breathed because glitterdust has longer range. The dragon and devil both saved (the rolls are up there).
I then had the dragon come within Noravia's 30' range so breath and her spell went off simultaneously. I could have had the dragon stay outside her range but it didn't make sense (and I'm nice). :)
Noravia did save against the breath weapon (Milani's intervention?); otherwise she would have been dead-dead (not dying).

Knowing the dragon needed to be slowed down Tillia moved to where she could see it and cast a spell. She saw Noravia's unmoving body on the ground and tried not to let it affect her for now. With words and gestures a mass of webbing appeared in the area with the dragon. The webbing anchored to the nearby structures and stuck to the great beast's wings and scales, tangling around it and holding it fast.
Move 1 square right and two down then cast web (dc 18 ref) so that it gets teh dragon and no one else.

Noravia watched the dragon bearing down on her with a mixture of anxiety and peace. She was resolute in her decision and she had faith in her goddess but she didn’t want to die and leave Caleb. The inquisitor knew her opportunity had come and as soon as she cast her spell she felt that Milani had granted her request and that it had taken hold. At least this gave the others a fighting chance.
It was then that hell on earth came forth to engulf Noravia in the form of hellfire. She had been fully prepared to launch herself off the bridge but she hadn’t taken into account how quickly dragon’s breath traveled. Her eyes widened and she gasped as she figured her time as a martyr had come. Thanks to their blood bond she could feel Caleb and knew he was safe which gave her comfort in that moment.
But just as she was about to be engulfed in evil flame she was surrounded by brilliant, pure white light. From the outside looking in, the hellfire seemed to swallow the light. But in truth, the light absorbed most of the fire which Noravia knew would have killed her instantly. However, there were limits to the protection and the last of the inquisitor’s strength was sapped by the heat and she crumpled to the ground. She had expected death which did not come. She had expected to be assaulted by the smell of burnt skin and hair but instead she smelled roses and instantly knew her goddess had indeed protected her. As she lay on the bridge she was honored and awestruck to hear the voice Milani speak to her, Your time has not yet come. The rebellion needs no new martyrs this day but it does need you to continue to fight.
But then the inquisitor was surprised to hear another voice speak to her. She was not familiar with the voice but when talk turned to Caleb she recognized it as Callistria. Caleb’s loss of you would drive him to madness rather than vengeance. He would become rash and quickly follow you into death. By living you can make sure that he gets his revenge. That will be your gift to him in return for your life.
Caleb Cage
@Noravia: you can always burn the Song of Silver effect for a Breath of Life, I think. If you do, I suggest running, as you're going to slam into a Dragon's Fear effect.
Fabian Benavente
@Fabian: will you allow her to stay conscious as well?
I like it!
Yes you may stay conscious as long as you don't 'act' or barely act (crawl, give feeble warning, etc.).
Or you can do like Caleb said and use breath of life by burning your Song of Silver perk.
Up to you...
