Satinder "Tinder" Phandros |

Heeding Grazxos' warning and not wanting to risk being knocked unconscious or worse by the darts, Satinder makes a hasty retreat to the room prior to the trap.
Growling: "If you activate that trap before we know what we're up against, there's going to be Hell to pay, gnome."
Unfortunately I can't modify that document on my phone and google docs are blocked at work. Could someone position Satinder with the others prior to the trapped hallway? Thanks.

Byron Swiftwater |

"Byron!"Graxzos calls hoarsely down the passage, not shifting his eyes off the end of the hallway, "Yer machine is doin'...somethin'...to the...thing...we found in here! Either tell it to quit, or you lot need to get back here sharpish! راسم، والخروج من القاعة!"
eeding Grazxos' warning and not wanting to risk being knocked unconscious or worse by the darts, Satinder makes a hasty retreat to the room prior to the trap.
Growling: "If you activate that trap before we know what we're up against, there's going to be Hell to pay, gnome."
Byron shoots Satinder a sideways glance, while applying his vermin repellent. They always got to bring up that I'm a gnome, do I mention that he is a half-breed or crazy? No tact anymore.
"I don't know where you all come from, but where I come from we do not command our women, much less our mothers, around. I could far less tell her what to do then control the weather."

Byron Swiftwater |

Byron is 'Just outside the trapped hallway (in the tapestry room)' Let's redo that last post.
Byron hunches down, frustration with his companion gnawing at him.
"Look human, if you all don't get back over this threshold then you will be dead long before the trap goes off." Byrons eyes have gone steely, a harsh change from his normally happy-go-lucky mood.
"Mother has calculated all the risk, she will act in the best interests of us as a whole, even if it means a hard choice"
throwing: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (19) + 3 = 22
Byron chucks a bottle of Vermin Repellent into 0042B, causing it to smash and run over the golem.
0042B will not set off the trap before the people are out. That does not mean she does not intend to. She is in fact trying very hard to do so regardless of who is left in the tunnel, but by 'act of god' she will be stalled just enough to allow for people to get out.

Zanac |

As Zanac rushed into the room with the rope hanging down into it he heard the sounds of something skittering into the room, dropping debris down through the hole as it moved. He turned around to call back to the others and saw the golem messing with the trap again so with a muttered curse Zanac stepped to the side of the doorway and climbed 10' up the wall, wedging his left hand between the cracks of two stones and pulled his katana out into his right, ready to drop onto anything that revealed itself.
Zanac is in the shaft room just to the side of the door so out of range of the darts

Graxzos Khar-Bulkhet |

Map looks great! Graxzos was at the just inside the tapestry room (not in the hallway). But that's about to change...
Leveling his pistol down the hallway, Graxzos sweeps the area, and, seeing no enemy, curses quietly as he realizes that the machine, Satinder, and Rasim are in the way of any potential shot. "Dagnabit, humans," he concurs with Byron--then he hustles down the hallway, pistol still out, yanking his shield off his back. He flings himself through the far doors just as events proceed...
Double-moving from the square next to Byron in front of the doors all the way to the square in line with it outside of the hallway past the other set of doors. That's me done!

Rasim Kader |

Round 1
Rasim skids to a halt just as Byron runs back past him from the rope chamber. When he hears the golem say it's going to activate the trap again, his brows knit in concern. "What?! Can you wait till we're clear please!" he hisses in a stage whisper back down the hallway before stepping out into the chamber with the rope. He presses himself against the wall hoping to fade into the shadows.

0042B |

-Observation- Showboating, unproductive. Get to safety instead of trying to show off combat prowess. You are placing yourself and my baby at risk with your recklessness. Respect for selfish human dropping... 0.23%.
Byron's golem set about its task undaunted and ready to clean the entire room regardless.of who was left in it.

Dolarre |

climb check for Zanac: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (5) + 9 = 14
Zanac fails to get any solid purchase on the smooth walls of the tomb, but this is likely a blessing, as where he intended to perch is quickly occupied by a 3 foot long scorpion. The beast's translucent skin shows glistening organs which pulse and ooze in the torch light. It leaps at Zanac, but because you are not trapped on a wall, you still get your dex to AC.
claw1: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3 damage: 1d3 ⇒ 2
claw2: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 2 = 17 damage: 1d3 ⇒ 3
sting: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3 damage: 1d3 ⇒ 1
The attack is more a barely controlled fall to the floor at Zanac's feet. One claw comes dangerously close, but misses the pussycat by a scant whisker. At least one more scurries in the shadows of the 50ft ceiling.
Orcen, Tinder, and 0042B you're up!

Orcen Faust |

"Oh, my. It sounds like the fighting is already going on," Orcen comments, peering down the hallway. "I suppose I'll wait for them to sort this mess out."
Orcen will delay - he can't do anything useful right now anyways.

0042B |

0042B works diligently as the smell of vermin repellent wafts from its back.
-Task completion eminent-
Technically I hold my action to give tinder time to clear before the check, in case it goes off due to low roll. 0042B will refrain from using the trap until more then one creature wanders into the halls or a single creature makes it more then half way. If it looks like the bugs will focus on those in the room, 0042B will simply wait.
Edit* is Rasim out of the tunnel? I forgot to account for him. Is the map representing where he moved in his action or before he moved?

Satinder "Tinder" Phandros |

Is the scorpion close enough that I could get into melee with a 30' move? If so then Satinder will move up and attack, otherwise he will double move and attempt to get into flanking position with Zanac if possible.
Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5
Damage: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6

Dolarre |

Tinder swings at the scuttling insectoid, but the dash into the room carries the blade well beyond the beast.
"You fool! How will you prove yourself worthy?!"
Rasim, Tinder, and Zanac are in the shaft chamber. Tinder and Zanac are flanking a scorpion. Rasim is ten feet away attempting to slink into the shadows, but the torch illuminates him easily. Two more scorpions are scuttling down the wall.
The hall is clear of all save 0042B, and the trap Disable Device: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (14) + 13 = 27 is armed and dangerous. For anyone to jump over the pressure plate and avoid setting off the trap to move back into or out of the hallway, please make a DC5 acrobatics check for the leap. First group back up.

Zanac |

"Well this is unpleasant." Zanac says as more enemies scuttle down into the room. Noticing the golem standing up from its work at the trap Zanac grins "Perhaps we should beat a hasty retreat and let the ancients do our work for us." Zanac calls to Tinder and Rasim as he slices at the scorpion between himself and Tinder.
Attack: 1d20 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 3 + 2 = 17 +2 flanking
Damage: 1d8 + 3 + 1d6 ⇒ (7) + 3 + (1) = 11 Sneak attack dice hate me
As Zanac's sword slices into the creature he barely pauses just long enough to help Tinder pull back before sprinting back up the hallway, matching actions to his words. "Clear a landing zone if you don't mind!" he calls to the others at the end of the hallway as he leaps over the now armed pressure plate...
Leap: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (14) + 6 = 20
...pulling his legs in and performing a somersault in the air before landing gracefully on the other side. He turns back around and calls to those still engaged with the scorpions, "Pull them this way!"
Standard to attack, will ready move action to retreat down the hallway with Tinder after he lands his own attack with flanking bonus.

Rasim Kader |

Readying is also a standard action.
Readying an Action
You can ready a standard action, a move action, a swift action, or a free action. To do so, specify the action you will take and the conditions under which you will take it. Then, anytime before your next action, you may take the readied action in response to that condition. The action occurs just before the action that triggers it. If the triggered action is part of another character's activities, you interrupt the other character. Assuming he is still capable of doing so, he continues his actions once you complete your readied action. Your initiative result changes. For the rest of the encounter, your initiative result is the count on which you took the readied action, and you act immediately ahead of the character whose action triggered your readied action.
You can take a 5-foot step as part of your readied action, but only if you don't otherwise move any distance during the round.
Initiative Consequences of Readying
Your initiative result becomes the count on which you took the readied action. If you come to your next action and have not yet performed your readied action, you don't get to take the readied action (though you can ready the same action again). If you take your readied action in the next round, before your regular turn comes up, your initiative count rises to that new point in the order of battle, and you do not get your regular action that round.
With their foes now visible, Rasim forsakes all attempts at stealth. He flings a shuriken at the scorpion that is standing between Zanac and Tinder. His throwing star misses the overgrown arthropod completely. It strikes the floor by Zanac's foot and ricochets away. Rasim curses and moves back into the dart hallway, preparing to leap the pressure plate.
When Zanac speaks up, he replies, "Sounds like a plan!" from the hallway.

Standard action; Throw shuriken at the flanked Scorpion.

Graxzos Khar-Bulkhet |

I had understood that I was also in the shaft chamber; I'm going to post my actions based on that!
"Grah, that's what I get for charging down here!" Graxzos yells, then starts to head back down the dart hallway. "There's a passel of nasty-lookin' scorpions headed our way, folks!" As he retreats down the hall, he takes a potshot at the scorpion by the door into the shaft chamber, but only succeeds in blowing a chunk of stone out of the wall. He flips his shield off his back with one hand.
Standard Action: Attack the scorpion. Move Action: Back 20' down the hall. Free Action: quickdraw the shield!

Orcen Faust |

Orcen sighs, before casting his Mage Armor over himself, waiting in the relative safety of the tapestry room. He glances over at Sebti, speaking to her. "Think they need help?" He asks her.
And that's his action.

Byron Swiftwater |

Orcen sighs, before casting his Mage Armor over himself, waiting in the relative safety of the tapestry room. He glances over at Sebti, speaking to her. "Think they need help?" He asks her.
And that's his action.
Byron looks back to Orcen. "Well, perhaps you could ready a spell to set off the trap so my companion doesn't have to. That would also allow you to control when it goes off rather then her setting off whenever she feels like it."

Dolarre |

aoo: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6
As Zanac withdraws, the scorpion makes a token swipe of its stinger at his fleeing legs. Ichor from a gash across its back obscured the pulsing of the organs beneath the skin.
Rasim speeds into the hall but avoids the wounded insectoid. This leaves poor Tinder and Zanac temporarily alone with three of the beasts. They move in and surround them, claws clacking and oozing stingers striking out.
Scorpion 1(wounded) attacking Zanac.

stinger: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
Tinder, Orcen and 0042B now get to act in this round. Orcen, you already declared, but you can change your mind if you so desire, now that you see your companion surrounded by hungry abominations . . . or not; your choice.

Satinder "Tinder" Phandros |

The scorpions stinger pierces Satinder's thigh, causing him to moan in agony, but luckily he was able to resist the effects of the poison. I've taken too many wounds... I must withdraw to where I am less vulnerable!
Full withdraw action to join the others on the other end of the hallway.

Orcen Faust |

"I don't have anything like that prepared, I'm afraid. Really, you ought to let the warriors deal with this. Surely they can deal with a few vermin." Orcen comments from behind his filter hood.
Orcen's also not changing his actions here. Armor up, just in case.

Dolarre |

Tinder leaps to avoid the pressure plate acrobatics: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (19) - 1 = 18, easily clearing the distance. Rasim is close to the end of the hallway, and 0042B is poised (still in the hall and vulnerable to the darts) to set off the trap when and if the scorpions make pursuit. Zanac is alone with the pale insectoids. Everyone else is crowded in the confines of the tapestry room. Sebti steps a few feet onto the stair to make room and responds to Orcen with only a look.
Graxzos, Zanac, Byron, and Rasim - your action.

Zanac |

Pretty simple, full withdraw action with an acrobatics over the pressure plate
As the others retreated to the relative safety of the tapestry room Zanac began his own withdrawal. "Come on, ya little buggers. Don't you wanna see how Catfolk taste?" he taunted the creatures as he moved down the hallway, reaching the pressure plate and leaping backwards...
Acrobatics: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (7) + 6 = 13
...landing firmly on his feet with the others. Bowing to the others he grinned, "I believe we're just about ready to spring that surprise of ours. If need be we can always throw one of those cat statues onto it if no one else has an easier method of setting it off."

Graxzos Khar-Bulkhet |

Acrobatics: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (15) + 3 = 18
Graxzos darts backward and hops over the pressure plate, taking up a position right in the doorway behind it. "Aye," he says with a grin, "let the little buggers suffer like we did!"
He also stows his shield and prepares to strike out with his ax at any that make it up to him.
Readied Waraxe Attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5
Readied attack damage: 1d10 + 3 ⇒ (10) + 3 = 13

Rasim Kader |

Rasim flings another shuriken at the scorpions as he retreats, also leaping over the pressure plate into the tapestry room.
Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (11) + 4 = 15 +1 to hit if within 30'
Damage: 1d2 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3 +1 to damage if within 30'
Acrobatics (can't fail a DC 5, but whatever): 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (13) + 8 = 21

Byron Swiftwater |

Byron waits at the end of the hall, not sure if he can bear to see 0024B get hurt for his sake.
I am assuming each time the trap has to be set off and then pressure has to be released for it to reset. In that case, if no one else has come up with a method then Byron will ready an action to unsummon 0042B and from then on each turn use his summon creature to send in another creature to set it off again. It will be a viper using total defence to keep safe while using its move to set it off, that should give it a 20AC. Sorry for the hold up

Satinder "Tinder" Phandros |

As I said before Satinder plans on using mage hand if the hallway is clear and the creatures are in position. I was just waiting for things to play out.

Rasim Kader |

I believe everyone except 004B is clear of the hallway now, so that should work, Byron. If a viper is heavy enough. If not, one of us can probably stay in the tapestry room but push on the pressure plate with our foot.

Rasim Kader |

Mage hand "You point your finger at an object and can lift it and move it at will from a distance. As a move action, you can propel the object as far as 15 feet in any direction, though the spell ends if the distance between you and the object ever exceeds the spell's range" It can't do what it used to do in 3.5. Besides even if it could it can only exert 5 lbs. of pressure. It might not be enough to trigger the trap. If the viper is heavy enough that's also a good choice because then if the trap doesn't kill the scorpions there will still be a viper between them and us. However it would take two rounds, since dismissing 004B is a standard action and summoning the viper is a standard action. So...stepping on it is probably the best option.
