Caught up on the gameplay thread. Saw numerous rules mistakes but I'll keep my lawyering until I actually get into the game. :P Working on character now.

Also, is sever one of the combat maneuvers that can be used in place of an attack? Like bullrush, disarm, sunder, and trip or is it a standard or full round action? I probably just missed this somewhere...

Just note thaat singature move is a full round action consisting of 3 actions thus sever can be included as one of them.

Hi I added in MAPS in USE in the campaign tab. Also I will be adjusting the reputation table later with additional features etc and upping the reputation range.

Hi All thought I will address Combat.

First thing first the maps we will be using is Hexagon shape thus it is different from the usual squares we will be doing.

Secondly my style of combat is I will run Perception and Initiative checks for the PCs against the Enemy's Perception and Initiative. As there will be no Surprise round in the Arena as you are expecting the enemy.

EG:

A rolled 13, B rolled 15, C rolled 8 for initiative.
Enemy consisting of D,E,F rolled 12 for Initiative.

Round 1
B is not Flatfooted and Goes first
A is not Flatfooted and Goes Second.
Enemy D,E,F is Flatfooted and goes third.
C is Flatfooted during enemy turn and goes last.

Round 2
B moves per usual.
A moves per usual.
Enemy moves per usual
C moves per usual.

But notice what happens, after round 1 when C moves, it is followed by B & A and then enemy and then C,B,A then enemy then C,B,A etc. The round order might be a little messed up but we can move combat as a group to save time and I will favor the heroes when It comes to round counting for effect. I will also do a summary after each round so the PCs are aware of whats happening.

Sometimes during combat, as there will be hidden doors on the ground Enemy can come out as a surprise. In this case the initiative for the new enemy is the same as current thus new enemies will only appear on the enemy turn.

A breastplate would be nice (mithril even better), so would a magical falcata or buckler. Other than that I'd go for defensive items and a strength belt.

Further, you can add 1-1/2 times your Strength bonus on the damage roll for your first unarmed strike on a given round.

Power attack
Benefit: You can choose to take a –1 penalty on all melee attack rolls and combat maneuver checks to gain a +2 bonus on all melee damage rolls. This bonus to damage is increased by half (+50%) if you are making an attack with a two-handed weapon, a one handed weapon using two hands, or a primary natural weapon that adds 1-1/2 times your Strengthmodifier on damage rolls. so it will boost garris attack from +7 to +10 on his first attack. because of dragon attack the power attack bonus is increased from +4 to +6 for a total of +16

Okie, Apologies i looked at it again. Unarmed strike is not claw attack as it is natural. Thus your damage stays at +8 on dragon style with weapon focus. And power attack adds +4 to your attack thus for a grand total of 12 damage. Same as your 2nd primary attack.

sorry guy I will clear things up. Ok so normal damage with mutagen is +7, Dragon style does work with claws b/c of Feral Combat training. Making attack at +10. Power attack does not get the benefit of counting as a 2 handed weapon it has been discussed on the boards and if I were better at searching and linking stuff I would do it, but if you just search for dragon style power attack lot of post will come up. So power attack is just the -2 for the +4 so total is at +14, desperate battler feat gives Garris +1 to attack and damage if no ally is withing 10' and he is not getting the benefit of an aid action bringing the total to +15. All extra damage that is not dice is multiplied in a critical so at x2 its +30. Been playing D&D almost 25 years guys I promise I wouldn't cheat you guys and I'm more and happy to help point out any clarifications but all of this stuff is covered in the rules and FAQ's. Hope that clears everything up. On another note though when I pick up dragon ferocity it will only apply to my claw attacks as that is what I have weapon focus in. Glad everyone is ok from storm, My parents are in West Virginia and are without power. Be safe all.

Hurricane? I live in China and don't watch the TV or read the news since I can't really understand it. Sometimes ignorance is bliss. I forgot there was even an election until some cab driver asked me who I wanted to win. Good to hear everyone is okay though.

ahh Garris cleared it up. +15 is quite impressive. I guess me being KOd in one hit is mostly my fault for making a MAD character with low CON and STR, but i figured i would tough out the lower levels to get to a sweet spot. and since he is a sneak attacker, 1v1 combat isnt really his forte anyway
