"Nah met Cyanne, remember? And saw Daen but never really talked much to either," the kobold reminds Kaz. "Might be good to talk more now though!"
Disregard me; I'm an idiot. :P

Luthor Rowe |

Sheesh, you know, youd think the one thing you WOULD have the energy for would be hobby stuff, like this game, but this last week has just been a series or work days and passing out to some random youtube video.
Will definitely get a post in this weekend, even if it kills me.

Laliytsa Iansoh |

Yay for breaking the bubble, and for getting a new laptop!
I had somebody I know do a sketch of Lali for me, you can check it here if you guys want. I LOVE the way it came out.

GM Aest |

That is pretty neat. I wish I had a character I loved enough to do that kind of thing, but I'm really between games to play in.

Valeriya Mikhailovna |

Oh nice Laliytsa. Getting character art done is always cool.

Kazimir Vasilovich |

Been sick; post coming in the morning.
Love the art, Lali! Tell the artist it's fantastic work!

Nah of the Sootscales |
Hey folks, just a heads-up that I'll be heading out town Thursday morning to a convention and likely won't be back until either very late Sunday night or very early Monday morning. I'll have my Kindle and phone with me but I'll likely not be posting at all during that time. Please feel free to bot me as needed while I'm gone :)

GM Aest |

Sorry for the lack of posts. The rafting season here has been pretty premier, and to be honest, this seems like a situation where letting you guys RP for a bit is a good idea.

GM Aest |

I'll be gone for the next several days, and will return to semi-regularly scheduled posting after that!

Kazimir Vasilovich |

Urgh. EVERY time I've been online, the site's been down. Paizo, y u do dis?

GM Aest |

Luthor, if you're feeling that down, you should see about finding some help. Are you talking to anyone in real life about this?

Luthor Rowe |

Yeah, stuff hasnt really been working out lately, had a talk with a professional and it sounded like she thinks ive been hovering in this state for years probably. Apparently on this "depression scale" or whatever, I rank a 2 out of 4

Laliytsa Iansoh |

Sorry I've been MIA, I got swamped with stuff this week.
Luthor, as someone who has several mental illnesses I can tell you that treatment makes a *WORLD* of difference. It's amazing the difference medication can make in your life, and therapy has been wonderful for me. I highly recommend both. Sometimes the neurotransmitters in your brain go off script and you need to whack them back into submission.

Nah of the Sootscales |
I know I've not really been commenting on this but that doesn't mean that it's not been on my mind. I definitely agree with Aest and Lali that it sounds like some sort of treatment would be a good idea, especially if this has been going on for awhile (which I get the feeling that it has). You need to take care of you first; don't worry about stuff like the game right now. We'll be here whenever you feel able and willing to post, okay?

Kazimir Vasilovich |

I'm glad you've spoken to someone about this, Luthor. Like Lali, I've been seeking treatment for mental illness myself (going on my 10th year of fighting depression), and treatment is important. There's no shame in it, so seek it out. We're all here for you, and if you need to take a backseat for a while and focus on you, I'm sure every one of us will understand!

GM Aest |

Lapsing on the posting, sorry. We're moving my grandpa and grandma out of their house and into assisted living, on account of his Alzheimer's getting worse, so it'll likely be a bit without consistent posts.

Nah of the Sootscales |
Happy 4th of July to my fellow Americans, happy Tuesday to the rest of the world! And remember kids, it's not a proper rendition of the 1812 Overture unless it has cannons!

Valeriya Mikhailovna |

Not a worry GM. Take the time you need.
And happy Independence Day! (The way that I remembered that 4th of July was American Independence day was thinking of the president's speech from Independence day (the movie), goes to show my general lack of international awareness ha ha ha)

Kazimir Vasilovich |

Yes, happy America day to... I assume everyone but Val and Luthor, huh? Right?
And Nah, you mean there are versions of the 1812 Overture that don't have cannons?? I... I think I need to lie down!

GM Aest |

We now return to our regularly-scheduled posting.

Kazimir Vasilovich |

I'm still around; I've just been very out of it due to bad sleep and con stress. I'll post as soon as I can get my thoughts in order, sorry.

Nah of the Sootscales |
I'm still around too but to be honest I'm having a little trouble staying focused since the posting has been so sporadic. This isn't an attempt to throw stones or the like; I know several folks here have been busy with RL (since it's summer for most of us) or dealing with other issues and so posting understandably takes a backseat. But I can't deny that it does mean that I tend to put this game lower on the priority list for posting to when there *is* an update :(

GM Aest |

Given everyone's speed of posting, I get your frustration, Nah. It's hard to focus on something that's so inconsistent, and it's not entirely fair to you guys that it is. That being said...
My grandpa died yesterday after fighting Alzheimer's for 8 years. He had a stroke, which killed him before he could go through the worst of the disease. I'm going to try something different than when my other grandpa died (2 years ago to the day). I'm going to be around and trying to post as much as possible, because his death wasn't unexpected in any way, and in a way, is a relief. However, it's likely I'll be missing some days still. I'd like to get to a regular posting schedule, since I have some cool ideas coming up that I'd like to try out.

Nah of the Sootscales |
I'm so sorry for your loss, Aest. Do what you need to do to take care of things and if that means posting a lot, a little, or somewhere in-between, then I'm sure we'll all be around. I tend to cope with death in a similar manner (distracting myself) so I understand where you're coming from on this.
A little of my frustration is with myself, because I want to try and do my part to help keep things moving along but this particular situation is one where I feel Nah is a little out of her depth and unable to help a whole lot. Of course I knew there would be situations like this when I made her but I'd also kinda counted on the other PCs (including Eric's when he was still with us) being able to pick up her slack in those cases, heh.
At any rate, I'm not going anywhere. Most of my other games are relatively active and I've started GMing a bit of PFS so my own posting might be a little slower than I'd like at times. But I *will* get to it as I'm able :)

Laliytsa Iansoh |

I'm so, so sorry Aest. I get where you're coming from. I remember when my grandpa passed away, he'd had severe Alzheimer's for years. It was hard, but at the same time it felt like we'd lost him years earlier. Knowing he wasn't suffering from all the confusion anymore was kind of a relief.

Luthor Rowe |

I only got to see the beginning stages of it with my grandmother, so can only imagine. She was "lucky" and quietly passed away before it could get really bad. Even then, those moments when you were with her and she suddenly forgot who people were and then realized it. Was tough as a bystander, cant even begin to imagine what that was like.

Kazimir Vasilovich |

I'm sorry to hear about your grandfather. I don't know what more to say.

Kazimir Vasilovich |

I'm here, and I'm up-to-date on the game. I'm just not sure what argument Kaz can make in response to that XD

GM Aest |

With the trial more-or-less concluded, I'd like to ask a question of everyone. Would you rather plow into Book Two with enough resources to get started on your Barony, or try negotiating the political waters of Brevoy in hopes of more support from the Great Lords, religious institutions, or wealthy private factions? I'm fine with either way, and have prepared some goals for said political factions, but if they're not used here, I'll just post them on the forums so others can see them and maybe get some inspiration.

GM Aest |

The activities/tasks/things are built so everyone has a moment or two. In fact, some of them are relics left from former party members that I just haven't taken out.

Valeriya Mikhailovna |

I'm happy to do some negotiating around. If nothing else Valeriya would like to get this endeavour the formal blessing of the church of Abadar before proceeding.

Kazimir Vasilovich |

Still around, got stuck in a funk for a few days. I'd personally like to do the negotiating, even if my character won't be too good at it :P

GM Aest |

Great. That's more-or-less unanimous. I'll get going on a post.
