Hovok swings his longhammer, but the weapon gets caught up in the water.

Jafit begins to cast a spell Provoking an AoO.

Jafit tries to hang onto the spell, but the damage is just too much to hold onto the spell. He then moves 5 feet away from the elemental.

Orovan pulls out a wand and begins to cast from it.

Neilmin points and lets loose a Ray of Frost at the elemental, striking it true (Even through cover and into melee). The frost damage seems to effect the elemental fully.

Lucifer reloads and lets go another crossbow bolt, but the bolt flies wide.

"Another portal. I'll dive down and see if I can see anything. We don't want to be ambushed by another water elemental. Especially in water this deep."

Lucifer swims forward a little bit to get in front of the group and then dives down to the bottom of the room to have a look around.

"Hey Jafit, I think we use the same kind of magic, you & I. But you seem much better at it. There's a spell I could use, if I'd prepared it, to purify this water. Do you know it?"
I'm thinking Purify Food and Drink at CL4 can purify 4 cubic feet (32 gallons)/round. Could take a little time, but we could really help ourselves.

Oh...Kay...Jafit...Neilman...we need to close this portal and backtrack to close the other...I'm not going to be fighting unarmored but I also wont be able to fight in this damn water if we dont do something to lower the level...So any ideas?

"Yes, of course I know that spell! Life finds a way, and that spell helps find a way to eat when nothing fresh and wholesome is at hand. But this is an AWFUL LOT of water . . .."

Yeah, but the water is in motion, so we get the whole thing of diminishing returns as we go, if it doesn't flow away. The water has to be flowing on, or this room wold be full. Right?

"Like I said, there's a spell which should be able to close that portal, but it is just beyond my skill to cast. I don't know of any way to do it with what I do know."
