@Kraygan- I would agree that it would be a common knowledge deal for skeletons.
Torgan is able to chip away a small portion of the Giant's toe with one of his axes, though he seems to be breathing a bit harder as his axes feel heavier since the rats bit him.
Van's calls on Angraad to help him. And help him he does as a small portion of Van's wounds heal. His hammer seems to be directly guided as it breaks more than one finger off on the Hill Giant's right hand.
Quickly Van takes the opportunity to step back out of it's reach as Kraygan begins to formulate a plan.
The dire rat bites back at Jorgan as the stick comes close to it.

Wren leaps over the biting rat as Kraygan and Van try to corral the undead rat.
Torgan leaps at it with a softly glowing dagger. Though he misses the dagger's light erupts into a bright light as it nearly blinds him with it's radiance. A deep feeling of love fills Torgan's heart, overpowering his senses he begins to weep ever so slightly.
Looking at the rat he notices that it is no longer blending in with the shadows! It no longer has the 50% concealment miss chance.
Using the dagger revealed a few new powers to Torgan. It's name is Brinya's Love. It is a +1 dagger infused with the soul of the fallen hero Rodrik Grath and the tears of his fiance Brinya Kelvar. Once per day on command, the weilder can grant the weapon ghost touch special ability for one minute. During this time, Brinya's Love sheds light equivalent to a daylight spell and the weilder gains a +3 sacred bonus to his CMD against disarm and sunder attempts directed at the hopeknife.

Regarding the Hopeknife: I think this is funny in a twisted way. On one hand this might be the last shadow creature we will fight for a while. On the other hand, I really don't want to fight any more strength draining shadow creatures for a while. ;)
