Kraygan gets a plan ahead of him and heads to the eastern doors, kicking them in. The massive doors fling open and three of the largest giants you have ever seen tower around a heavy masterwork ballistae as the defensive platform hurtles huge bolts down to settlements below. Each bolt looks like it would level an entire complex if struck just right. If this platform were to reach the city it would have devastating effects.
Hearing the door bash open the huge giants whip around. These towering giants have finely chiseled features. Their skin is pale and smooth, and her long wispy hair flutters as if in a breeze. As they speak their words seem to float on the breeze itself. "They made it to the engine level." One of the giants grabs a horn and blows it into the wind. "BWwwaaaaaaBBBOOOOoooooo" Large wings can be heard in the distance nearby.
A spacious platform extends from the base of the castle, overlooking the vertiginous heights below. An archway carved into the rock opens into a large tunnel with an ascending staircase that leads deeper into the immense structure.

Taking a defensive position in the saddle Kraygan urges Haggis up the stairs.
”I’ve got a horn too!” He declares, and lets out a toot.

Farin doesn't recognize these sort of giants, though dives into the fray head first regardless. His sword cuts a shallow cut along the giant's shin.
Jorgan follows Kraygan in with Spirit as he draws Heartspit into the mix to back up Farin. The sound of the wings reveal themselves as four huge winged beasts come into view. they look to be a mixture of different animals fused together. A bear's torso and head, clawed ape legs and a furred tentacle. It's Man-Bear-Pig!
From both sides of the open platform the group flies in, swinging right past the giants.
The pair of winged bear apes snatch Jorgan and Kraygan right from their saddles!

Wren recognizes these strange magical beasts as a far more advanced Yaoguai's. From what he remembers studying in Kaer Maga is that they have a fairly strong resistance to magic. While not able to directly detect invisibility they are able to fight while nearly blinded. As they grab ahold of foes they are able to fling them up to nearly 60 feet away from them.

The huge air elemental batters at the Yaoguai gripping Jorgan tight. The winds whip at the clumsy flier, though it seems a bit resistant to the damage.
Wren grabs ahold of Kraygan and drops him right back into Haggis's saddle. The yak groans as the sudden shift in weight back and forth. Kraygan's head grows fuzzy from the environmental change in the course of seconds.
One of the giant's hunkers down and charges right through Spirit. The force of the blow knocks the ram flat on it's side as the giant thunders past, right underneath the air elemental as it skids to a halt.
Stepping around the corner the corner another giant draws a morningstar at the air elemental and the third at Farin.

Kraygan wonders if he drank too much again, or not enough, because he doesn’t know quite what’s going on. Deciding to solve mysteries with a blunt instrument, he starts swinging at the nearest manbearpig.

Farin rolls back in a reverse somersault, quickly getting to his feet and running through the chaos. Giants and Yaoguai alike fight around him but the little halfling is too fast.
That is until the huge morningstar cathes him in the side. The dull spike crinkles in his armor, cutting off his air.
Once again Wren goofs up the dwarves and grabs the wrong one, though it all works out as they both remain unmolested by manbearpig.
Haggis and Kraygan work as a team. Kraygan smacks the purple hued manbearpig from the sky where Haggis tramples all over it.

Alysendra sends the trio of lantern archons forth try try and save Farin's life.
Penthae begins a song. One filled with Joy and sorrow. Alysendra runs in, desperately sending out a wave of healing.
Spirit stays prone, but thrashes about at the yellow haired giant.
Spirit isn't able to hit much of anything. Jorgan unbuckles himself from the prone ram. Like a heavy set cat he lands on his feet and stabs at some calves with Heartspit.
Jorgan manages to get a single blow in as the spear digs right into the calf.
The Yaoguai clumsily flit about in the air as their claws drag at Haggis and Kraygan. The wounds on the orange manbearpig quickly begin to close.

Wren's air elemental gives the giant a small pounding as icy veins stream from his fingertips. The air behind the enemies explodes as jagged sheets of icy form in an instant.
The Giants focus on Haggis, Kraygan and the Air Elemental.
The powerful blows, that should have smashed Farin's brains into the pavement obliterate the air elemental, sending it back to where it came from.
Kraygan looks back, but it is too late. The next thing he knows a morningstar clips him in the chest and he is sent flying out of his saddle and too the ground. The last time he was this high off the ground was in a catapult.
This all leaves Haggis a bit undefended as another strike breaks one of Haggis's legs.

The archons concentrate fire on the yellow giant.
Alysendra invokes her boneshatter spell on Yellow as well.
plus exhausted for 12 minutes (Fort save DC 24 for half damage and fatigued instead of exhausted)
Finally, she pulls out her lesser reach metamagic rod and prepares to heal whoever neads it.
Penthae moves forward and casts cure serious wounds on Farin.
For a moment Kraygan sees stars, and catches a glimpse of Trunau’s walls passing beneath him in a familiar flashback, as the giant’s blow sends him airborne. He windmills his arms, but dwarfs are poor fliers.
”AAAaaarrghOMF!!”
As landings go, he’s had worse.
Eying the forest of morningstars overhead he recalls some typical weaknesses when wielding such weapons and modifies his tactics accordingly. Keeping his buckler up, he jumps to his feet and whistles for Haggis. The mammoth yak ambles back a step and Kraygan grabs a loop on Calrienne’s saddle. Haggis turns and the movement swings the dwarf in an arc that deposits him square on its back. In the same move the Hammer of Thunderbolts crashes into the jolly green giant.
”Ho Ho Hooo!”
Meanwhile, Haggis turns his horns on the blue furred manbearpig.

The line of archons focus on the yellow giant, though it seems far more resilient against the numerous attacks.
Alysendra raises a broken bone, high into the air, she gives it one final snap. The giant's arm snaps at a strange angle as several other internal bones crack and pop.
Penthae moves in and begins to cast a spell to help Farin.
Penthae feels a searing pain crack against her head and quickly loses the spell as the Azata's head spins.
As the giant is distracted by Penthae, Farin draws a potion and drinks it unhindered. If it wasn't for Penthae's sacrifice he surely would have been dealt the same blow.
Spirit wrestles to his hoofed feet. Swinging his head around to the red eyed giant.
Both Spirit and the giant lock weapons, each coming out unharmed. Jorgan continues to jab Heartspit into the yellow giant's back.
Heartspit gets caught in the creature's knee. It looks near to falling on top of Farin but somehow barely manages to stand.
Kraygan rolls to his feet, activating his own giant size to swing right back into the saddle, where he breaks a few ribs with the Hammer of Thunderbolts.
Haggis keeps attacking the manbearpig as they seem intent on separating the dwarf / yak combo.
The two Yaoguai's wounds heal on it's own as they bite and claw at Haggis.

Kraygan fights for his life, pushing the second Yaoguai off.

Kraygan bonks the manbearpig on the nose as Wren sends a small bead of fire just outside the castle's wall. The explosion knocks a piece of the stone loose as it plummets to the ground. The resounding boom likely alerting more of the castle.
Wren's fireball burns through the enemies as the giants move to retaliate.
The yellow haired giant smashes Penthae against the wall as his morningstar strikes hard, cracking the stone. All that is left behind is a blood spattering and chunks of brain. "Weak."

Alysendra shrieks as Penthae is hurled against the wall. Even though she knows her friend will return, it looked like it hurt. A lot. Here eyes narrow at the yellow giant.
The archons, sensing her fury, continue to zap the yellow giant.
Alysendra quick-draws her starknife and hurls it at the yellow giant.

The starknife immediately reappears on her belt, and she hurls it twice more at the giant.

Kraygan pounds away at the green giant until it turns all red, switching to the actual red giant if opportunity presents.
He then kicks up a boot and slides off Haggis, commanding his faithful yak to withdraw.

Alysendra and her archons bring the largest giant the group has ever seen down to the ground. Farin fires a series of arrows at the orange manbearpig. The arrows strike into it's skin but don't seem to do any damage.
Spirit rakes his horns right into the giant's skin and armor. The large barbs shred if like bark from a tree.
Jorgan moves behind Haggis, smack the yak on the rear.
Kraygan swings the Hammer of Thunderbolts in a very wide arc. The hammer snaps into both giant's bringing them to their death at the same instant as their skulls smash together.
Sliding off of Haggis, the yak is able to retreat. The trio of Yaoguai encircle Kraygan as their wounds heal.

12th Level: The bow counts as a +2 Adaptive Flaming Composite Longbow. Scorching Ray now only costs 1 charge and replaces the arcane bolt. Wren pelts the wounded manbearpig with a wave of magical missiles as Alysendra. The Archons begin to burn the same Yaoguai, though it burns away into the winds as a pile of ash as Alysendra's channeled energy burns it.
Farin begins to feel a bit more like himself as the healing snaps his broken bones back into place. Using the hammer of thunderbolts Kraygan smashes in the head of the next manbearpig, leaving only one remaining. The tides have definitely turned in favor of the Trunau Militia.
Spirit holds his ground as Jorgan reaches up and places a hand on the rams barbed horn's strengthening them.
Wounded and alone the remaining Yaoguai tucks tail and flies off beneath the balcony.
Wren hears a voice enter his mind. "Help me....." Then just as soon as it comes it is gone.
