Sounds like an award winning "B" movie. :)

Holy crap-balls batman! The forums just got Private Messaging.

Unfortunately I can't find current campaigns on my accounts profile.....this may present a problem.....

Quick to the Batmobile!

Male Humanly Awesome 'n Totally Rockin' Paladin of Greatness

Yeah that's pretty cool.

male Half-elf Bard 2

Gang, remember Mialee from the 3.x materials? Something about her seemed familiar, and I think I'm on to something. Link.

What do you think ;) ?

Male Humanly Awesome 'n Totally Rockin' Paladin of Greatness

That's TERR-I-BULL! But pretty funny. :)

male Half-elf Bard 2

Actually, I found the singer quite beautiful here, in a somewhat unorthodox style. Certainly more fetching than a blank barbiedoll-wannabe.

Male Humanly Awesome 'n Totally Rockin' Paladin of Greatness

Yeah, not me. I don't really like her hair. That's what I was referring to in my previous post. Cher is a good looking gal, but I think she looks better with her hair straight than when it's curly. But that's just me. :)

Although, she does look pretty good in this video, here. Especially considering how old she is. The beauty of modern technology, I guess. ;)

Ok, I'm back. Can't use Maptools at work, so I will get it up when I get home (finally learned how to use it correctly):)

Man, I tried and tried to figure that out, and I am just too much of an idiot.

I got it downloaded, but then I had NO IDEA how to open the stupid thing up! I wanted to see if I could figure out how to work it, but when you can't even freaking open the program, I guess that answers my question.

The main reason is, it said my system didn't have the proper...I don't know...something or other, to run it. I am not a computer geek, so, I have no idea what to download to get it to run.

I think maptools comes as a .zip/.rar file.

Did you extract it with winzip/winrar before trying to open it? Otherwise it might be that you're computer isn't running the correct version of Java or something weird.

If it's simply an unzip issue downloading either winzip/winrar to extract compressed files is a very easy fix and should make the program runnable. If you're legitimately interested spending any time in making the blasted thing work you can shoot me a PM (I'm digging this new feature :)) and I'll see what I can do to help if your at all interested or anything. It's the least I could do.

Maptools is pretty handy on it's own, but it's supposedly supposed to be able to create a virtual table top if you're able to figure out how to write/copy the proper macros and figure out how it's online hosting functions work. It's too much hassle to deal with over simply using photoshop for mapmaking for me personally; plus I can sneak by Photoshop stuff at work and maptools is a little more.....iffy in that regard.

I'm still poking around Galahad, hope you're map troubles get fixed and your RL stuff becomes less of a hassle. Real Life > Online Stuff (Always).

Male Humanly Awesome 'n Totally Rockin' Paladin of Greatness

I was just about to say something about the whole winzip/winrar thing, before I finished reading what you said about "..how to write/copy the proper macros and figure out how it's online hosting functions work."

Utterly. Lost. :P

So, I think it's safe to say, I shouldn't even attempt to proceed down the path of maptools. Which stinks because the Dm's that use it; it looks really good. The maps are great. Ah well.

So how does this photoshop business work? Is it any simpler? Or just as confusing?(Well, to us computer illiterate people anyway.)

Sovereign Court

Well, got home last night all exicted about starting the combat and having a map and, of course, no internet as Comcast decided to work on the lines in our area at night!!!! So, at work now and will get the beginning round started and post positions when I get home. Talk about frustrating.

Man the buildup for these bugs/spiders has gotten pretty fierce.

If they're anything less than giant ghostly tap dancing fiendish a silk worms of unfathomable horror I might be a little disappointed. ;)

Male Weremonkey Rogue/Ranger/Trickster

The spiders have been destroyed, Akydi randomly gained the power to cast a maximized, enhanced Meteor Swarm combined with a Circle of Death...

I WIN!! LOL

Picked the pun-pun sorcerer bloodline, I see? :)

Male Aasimar (Musetouched) Bloodrager (Urban) 1/Paladin (Virtuoso Bravo) 14 [Champion: 7]

As someone standing in the front line, I'm fine with them being just normal spiders. :)

Male Humanly Awesome 'n Totally Rockin' Paladin of Greatness

LOL! Man you guys are cracking me up! :)

Male Humanly Awesome 'n Totally Rockin' Paladin of Greatness

Just to be clear, these spiders can only be reached with ranged weapons at this point? Or have I misunderstood this completely (wouldn't be the first time) and they are on the ground?

Male Aasimar (Musetouched) Bloodrager (Urban) 1/Paladin (Virtuoso Bravo) 14 [Champion: 7]

Oh, I missed that in the whole long-delay. If that's the case, Ari will ready until one drops into reach. [Note to self: Buy a reach weapon]

Missed that as well. I figured they had dropped during initiative, but I totally missed anything saying they're above us or out of reach. Simply use Kayela's actions as though they're simply readied if they're out of reach.

Glad to see Ari finally roll well in combat, it was painful to watch during the fight with the skellies. ;)

Male Humanly Awesome 'n Totally Rockin' Paladin of Greatness

Yeah, I figured I'd better ask, seeing how I wasn't real sure.

And those are some NASTY rolls, Arigoder! Sweet. :)

Sovereign Court

No, all of the spiders are within reach. The webs are not difficult or strong enough to impede movement or combat. The ceiling is only8' high so even if they are up they can be hit.

Male Humanly Awesome 'n Totally Rockin' Paladin of Greatness

Well cool then. Then I'll take a 5'step to D 5. Everything else the same.

Curious how you play full-attack with multiple attacks Galahad, supposing a single attack drops something do you auto apply the 2nd attack to the nearest enemy or cut the attack short if no other creatures exist that can be attacked and treat the attack as a standard giving a free move action? Or do we need to designate things like that otherwise we apply all attacks against one target at let them soak damage?

Just you know....curious.

It was an excellent question Javell, ever since you brought it up I keep checking my ceiling for giants spiders above my head. :(

Male Aasimar (Musetouched) Bloodrager (Urban) 1/Paladin (Virtuoso Bravo) 14 [Champion: 7]

It felt good to actually roll well enough to hit something. Maybe the break was good for Ari, let the bad luck in the dice roller bleed away. ;)

It's almost like we're using tactics. :)

Sovereign Court

tactics! only the Gm is allowed to do that!

Sovereign Court

Waltz, on a full attack, if the initial target dies I switch the damage to the next one in reach. If nothing inreach, I'll give you the option of adding actions if available.

Male Humanly Awesome 'n Totally Rockin' Paladin of Greatness

Hey Galahad, in my previous post here in the OOC (about 5 posts up) I mentioned a 5' step for Morbury when I found out they were ground level.

I'm not sure if somebody else (or a spider for that matter) has moved in there yet. If so, then no big deal. But if that space is still vacant, I'd like to move Morbury there.

Again, no biggie if that space is occupied.

male Half-elf Bard 2

Is everyone taking the Inspire Courage bonus into account?

@Hasmi: Yep, Yep. Even if it makes no sense as Kay doesn't have a clue what you're saying.

@Dryden/Morbury/Ari/Galaha:

In order of actions/initative....

.....This is the part where all three warriors slam into each other in the space of 6 seconds and drop prone for sake of hilarity. Some movement retconning may be in order, but that's on you guys.

Male Aasimar (Musetouched) Bloodrager (Urban) 1/Paladin (Virtuoso Bravo) 14 [Champion: 7]

That's what I get for not looking into other people's spoilers -- at the same time, I'm not sure how their attacks will resolve and which spiders will be left, either, so I suppose I'm jumping ahead.

The folly of PbP combat.

In any case S6 is at F4 and out of Ari's reach anyways if he managed to move to D5. Dryden's target in Rrnd 1 gets muddled if he can't reach S5, best fit line could put him at D4 and hit S3 or E4 and hit either S1,S6, or S3 respectively. So yeah, let the confusion ensue! :)

I'm personally only spoilering things to keep things less OOC and more neat and IC without the dice rolls and action ooc eyesores. The only thing I care that you don't look at is Celestial translation unless you've got it as a Language. Mechanics are for movement/actions and Status is for final Location/AC/Effects.

Male Humanly Awesome 'n Totally Rockin' Paladin of Greatness

No, I'm good. Go ahead Arigoder, no big deal. I didn't have in the gamethread anyway, so rock on bro!

Looking at it, it is kinda keystone copish, isn't it? :)

When you tack on Hasmirs inspire courage... that's 23 damage?....damn Morbury that's just straight up overkill. O_o *initiates slow clap*

You hit that thing so hard it's HP dropped so far into the negatives it came back around to the other side and came back to life via reincarnate.

So yeah, 1 spider left. I know these things are pretty much mindless, but I wouldn't be surprised if that littler bugger decided to flee in absolute terror.

Question @Galahad: Can spiders wet themselves?

LOL! I totally love this description:

And I still forgot about Hasmir's courage, dangit! Sorry, Hasmir. (But I guess at this point, it's probably moot) ;)

Male Weremonkey Rogue/Ranger/Trickster

*bows* I do what I can.

I have to admit, as I was typing that, I was laughing so hard, due to sheer confusion.

Sovereign Court

you guys went left, and the other group went right. This is the room that you met :)

Male Humanly Awesome 'n Totally Rockin' Paladin of Greatness

Gotcha! That's pretty funny stuff. :)

Male Humanly Awesome 'n Totally Rockin' Paladin of Greatness

Just too make it easier to divide, none of those are useful for Morbury. Divvy them up however y'all want.

Morbury; Feel free to take a reroll in rnd 1 if you roll low to hit if you want it, since Kay didn't use misfortune that round. So it's yours if you need it.

Ari; Kay set up flanking for you in round 1 if she was able. She goes before you so in round 3 she'll move to set up flanking for you again so unless unable you should pick up a +2 to hit on things. :)

Male Aasimar (Musetouched) Bloodrager (Urban) 1/Paladin (Virtuoso Bravo) 14 [Champion: 7]

Now that the dice roller hates me less, hitting is less of an issue than bypassing hardness. :) But thanks. :)

Sadly, this is one of those times when the mechanics and the logic don't quite jive -- Ari should toss his shield to get the extra +2 damage, but at the same time, he's using the shield to try to keep the manacles at bay.

Yeah, Kay's not really as sword and board oriented so she'll drop her shield often enough.

The hardness problem and the grappling could turn extend this encounter into many rounds we'll probably pull through it, but it seems to be designed to wear us down.

Male Humanly Awesome 'n Totally Rockin' Paladin of Greatness

Cool. I'll take that misfortune roll then. :)

Edit: Sorry, people. I didn't even realize I haven't even gone in round 1 yet.

And after that intial roll, I'll most definitely take the misfortune roll.

I'm sorry if I'm moving too fast in combat. The manacles have done their 2nd round action so I'm posting up my 3rd as Kay acts before their next turn. Not sure who's posted up round 2 actions, but I'm revolving around when the manacles take their turn.

Sovereign Court

no problem, Arigoder did the same. I don't mind because it keeps things moving in combat. If something happens that could affect your action, I will let you change it.

Male Humanly Awesome 'n Totally Rockin' Paladin of Greatness

How many of the manacles have been destroyed?

Sovereign Court

Before Arigoder's 4th round attack, there are two pairs left, one on Hasmir and one on Morbury.

I concur and mirror and concur this plan of action.

@Galahad:

At a later level Kay will be picking up the revelation that gives armor/martial weapon proficiencies. When Kay goes to find a blacksmith to forge a new weapon/armor it would be fun RP fluff to forge it out of the iron from the prisons manacles. Kay will be breaking them into small bits of iron in her free time.

You know if you where wondering why the hell she was picking them up. I'm hoping their not cursed or spontaneously reanimate anytime soon or something.
