Reaver's Roar

Daniel lets loose a flurry of arrows, peppering the shambling mound. It sways, then topples, laying unmoving on the ground.

The troll screeches in pain, then begins chanting again, after which a ball of flame pops up on top of Teric! Teric, you need a DC 17 reflex save of take Flaming Sphere damage: 3d6 ⇒ (3, 6, 4) = 13

Kivuli, having jumped in the water and moved around in it for a bit notices that he feels a taint seeping into his body from the water and takes Negative Energy: 3d8 ⇒ (4, 2, 8) = 14. DC 17 will save to reduce it to the minimum amount. Also, keep in mind that the water (green areas) are considered difficult terrain.

Daniel takes a quick step back to add just a hair of breathing room between him and the plant creatures. He nods to Dortlin and Andurius, "thanks for the blessings, I'll make them count." With that he looses a supernatural amount of arrows at the other shambling beast.

The wayangs natural affinity to the Plane of Shadow allows him to adapt to the dark waters without issue. Indeed, it may turn out to be a blessing.

Light and Dark (Su): Once per day as an immediate action, a wayang can treat positive and negative energy effects as if she were an undead creature, taking damage from positive energy and healing damage from negative energy. This ability lasts for 1 minute once activated. (9 rounds remaining)

So, just to be clear, I can 'jump' from tree to tree as long as they are within 60' of each other?

The wayang steps through the adjacent trunk and slides along roots and emerges closer to the troll.

@ Kivuli - more or less, except that the party only gets one set of teleporter trees. I've marked the two I think you used for future reference and use by the party.

The flower shambles towards the new foe who has just appeared.

I'll go ahead and post Daniel's rolls. He will target on his turn based upon the following options. Top priority - any enemies alive and standing. Next priority - any enemies alive.

Crunch:
Full Attack, shouldn't be any range penalties or bonuses from Point Blank Shot, so the only modifiers would be cover.

Manyshot + Good Hope + Haste - Rapid - Deadly: 1d20 + 13 + 2 + 1 - 2 - 2 ⇒ (11) + 13 + 2 + 1 - 2 - 2 = 23 for Piercing/Cold Iron/Silver/Magic + Deadly + Good Hope: 2d8 + 6 + 8 + 4 ⇒ (3, 3) + 6 + 8 + 4 = 24 (DR applies twice)

Rapid Shot + Good Hope + Haste - Rapid - Deadly: 1d20 + 13 + 2 + 1 - 2 - 2 ⇒ (7) + 13 + 2 + 1 - 2 - 2 = 19 for Piercing/Cold Iron/Silver/Magic + Deadly + Good Hope: 1d8 + 3 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 3 + 4 + 2 = 17

Iterative + Good Hope + Haste - Rapid - Deadly: 1d20 + 8 + 2 + 1 - 2 - 2 ⇒ (11) + 8 + 2 + 1 - 2 - 2 = 18 for Piercing/Cold Iron/Silver/Magic + Deadly + Good Hope: 1d8 + 3 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 3 + 4 + 2 = 11

Seeing Rambi rush the caster with his trusty companion Dortlin tagging along for good measure, Crios quickly casts a spell and moves around and down to help.

Acid grasp, one hand staff attack from flank and higher ground: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (18) + 17 = 35Lets hope the caster is prone so his AC is -4.

swift action to use arcane accuracy for 1 point, standard to cast shocking grasp, non action to use mask of conflicting energy to change electricity to acid, free action attack from spell.

Reaver's Roar

Dortlin descends on the Troll, nodachi flashing, Rambi stomping, and after a few moments the troll is scattered about the ground in several pieces. Daniel launches a volley of arrows at the remaining plant, followed by Crios charging and bringing his staff down in a mighty blow, crumpling the plant to the ground.

All that remains is to destroy the evil, pulsating plant that is your target to the east.

The group descends on the plant and hacks it apart. As it dies, it releases a burst of negative energy, sapping the strength from all those nearby. The feeling passes shortly, and you stand victorious, having eliminated the source of the continuing blight!

***OVERSEER ANNOUNCEMENT***

Strands of purple energy whip across the battleground and begin to swirl above the remains of the giant flower. The continuous chant of the Twinhorn shamans reaches a fever pitch and then suddenly stops. After a breathless moment of silence, a loud reverberating boom echoes across the swamp as a column of purple energy pierces through the clouds, dissipating into the starry sky. Shouts of celebration begin to sound across the field as Medda makes her way to the heart of the blight. A shaft of moonlight shines on the site through the parted clouds as she rips through the withered roots of the blighted flower. Medda reaches in and draws out the shriveled remains of a female crusader. In stark contrast to the rest of the remains, her silvery breastplate glimmers in the moonlight. A grievous blow has scarred its surface where a golden engraved figure spreads out her wings. Trails of blood seep out from scars running across the figure. Medda lowers the remains gently upon a white cloak that a Twinhorn warrior has placed on the ground.

With a heavenly glow, the ghostly form of Ivvora appears in the clouds above. “She was my sister-in-arms against the vile Tar-Baphon. I now know that her sacrifice spared me all those years ago, as it will all of you in the days to come. Go with Vildeis’ grace and use this blessed plate to vanquish my hated adversary. Hurry back north, for the moment of Eshimka’s reckoning draws near!”

Medda looks up to the sky as the visage of Ivvora dissipates, the red phantom hand of Anok floating above her shoulder. After a moment, she kneels next to the crusader’s remains and carefully wraps them up in the white cloak, which is slowly soaked with red. She looks at the crowd gathered around her and speaks up. “We stand here triumphant, having rid this land of corruption. But this is a mere shade of the darkness that awaits us at the Solstice Scar! Fear not, for Vildeis’ blessing will guide our weapons to strike true and eradicate Eshimka for good!”

Medda motions for the Twinhorn warriors to raise the bundled remains on their shields as one of the honored dead. “Pathfinders, you have done much for my tribe and our lands, but I ask you once more to lend us your weapons so that we might end the evil that haunts Solstice Scar. What say you?”

This concludes Solstice Scar, Version C. Table GMs, thank you for all your hard work! When filling out chronicle sheets, please note that the house has earned the Fangwood Purifier boon.

Daniel cheers briefly as the last enemy drops, then turns his attention to the corruption, peppering it with arrows. With the cleansing complete and the Twinhorns begging for another mission he shrugs and agrees while mumbling, "better be able to stop at a pub on the way, all this world saving is making me parched."
