Reacting quickly to Laszo's attempt to heal himself Talon swings again, this time finding the accuracy that eluded him before. As he swings the potion drops into the water followed shortly by the thud of the alchemists body on the northern walkway.

As the Leper drops the only noise remaining is that of the addict lulled to sleep under the shallow water struggling to sit up but unable to find the energy to do so.

The party finds a number ofcoded documents on Laszos body.

Linguistics DC 16:
These papers detail not only Laszo's creation of whip, but also his distaste with the Aspis Consortium and their haste to distribute his drug before it was done, and even lists the names of several individuals within the consortium who were involved. All of this information will be invaluable to the society.

Unless the party chooses to linger more... The trip out of the sewers is uneventful. The junkies barely notice Laszo's dead body among them as they stare into the darkness.

A large warehouse looms into view at the end of Gull Street. It's main level sits at the edge of the street above a ten-foot drop to the harbor's waters below. A door in the western wall of the warehouse opens and a woman clad in simple leather armor steps out. Her features display a blend of Taldan and Mwangi heritages and her crisp accent is difficult to place.
"I am Magali Delroya. You must come quickly, Pathfinders, we do not wish to be seen!" She moves briskly, waving off protests or interruptions, and speaks in rythmn with her steps. "Questions later. Much is at stake. First you must listen." Her outward display of authority does not entirely mask her fear.

The small room through the warehouse's western door features a round table and several chairs. "This room is for the guards. They are all too busy dealing with out disruptions, so no one is here for now. That door leads to the docks below." She says pointing to a door on the southern wall. "Come this way. I will show you the warehouse."

She opens the door in the northern wall, revealing a cavernous storage room. Haphazard stacks of barrels and crates almost reach the ceiling twenty feet above. Two large skylights in the ceiling provide ample light during the day, and a dozen unlit lanterns are spaced around the room.
"As you can see, the Aspis Consortium maintains a sizable operation out of this warehouse, which they rent from the Kortos. The Locosta familt to be exact. After tonight I hope the relationship between these two organizations will be irreparably damaged. We may have delayed the shipment but my sources tell me both the Kortos and the Aspis are likely to investigate the warehouse later tonight. I had hoped for more time but I will not be able to move the goods until after midnight. I need your help holding off the agents. They are not likely to work together so you should prepare for multiple groups. While I have no qualms about fighting the Aspis we should avoid antagonizing the Kortos. I need you to stay here and prepare while I look for any more information that may assist us, though I can stay a few moments longer if you have any questions."

It'd be good to have a ballpark estimate so that when they come in we can account for them all. Once we've fought off the agents, how do you anticipate actually moving the shipment? Finally, is there anything about the warehouse you can tell us we could use against the Kortos men without actually killing them?"

Location 4: A potion of invisibility

Location 5: The platform to the lower level is clearly unstable. With the right expertise it might even be possible to rig it to collapse when someone stands on it, though it would take a couple hours.

Additionally the crates can be moved. One 5 foot stack of crates can be moved 5 feet in a total of 10 minutes, twice as fast with a strength check or cooperative effort. The crates also seem precarious enough to knock over with the right amount of strength.

Jian-Wei seems to have a plan. I am following her instructions In the order given. Barricade room C first, then Entrance A second, then entrance D. If time still allows we will try and barricade the stairs leading from room 6. If you are going to chance using the drow poison then I recommend you attempt to coat your weapons now, in case you dose yourself.

Items that can be used

1x Bear trap-----set and placed in-front of main door (A) with drow poison on it.

1x Wand of cure moderate wounds-----Carried in Aarions belt.

(Things that concern me) The skylights make easy access to rain down arrows on us. Yes you can pull the ladder inside. As far as the crates, the rules for moving them specifically state that they are a stack of crates per 5 feet, so it won't cost any extra time to stack them high.

Assuming the crates are moved from their closest location to where your building barricades, by one person without a strength it will take

1 hour 50minutes to barricade A
20 minutes to block C
1 hour 30 minutes to barricade D
10 minutes to block the stairs from 6

Assuming no one is working on the platform or befriending the dog than, these can all be done simultaneously. Ollo succeded on a strength check so he can halve one of the above times if he would like but it seems you'll all have plenty of time.

If there is anything else you would like to try let me know, and as Aarion said, roll any chance to poison yourself if you intent to use the drow poison on your weapon. The bear trap is 1 5ft square, are you placing it on the north or the south square of the entrance?

"Talon, I see the wisdom in your plan, but I don't think anyone here has the gift of gab down enough to convince them that we are Aspis. In addition to the inability to bluff well, there is also the fact that we are poorly verse at how the Aspis handle their business, and that they probably know who their contact is."

" In order to reduce the traffic on the roof, I wonder if we could hike the dog cage up top and allow the dog to run about. If the dog can't jump down, that would hinder people wanting to climb up there. Any input on this idea?"

Bear trap on the north square.

Aarion gets a grim look on his face just before his next statement.

"As fare as trying to play nice with the Kortos, I could care less about the political repercussions of this encounter. As fare as I am concerned, these fools are wanting to distribute this horrific drug into the population. I intend to shoot them dead if they pursue this path."

Ai shoots Aarion a glare. "Shoot them, but not dead. You might not care about the repercussions, but our Venture Captain might, and we want to prove to this renegade Aspis agent that we can play by the rules. That means trying not to kill them. The dog idea is good, though!"

Aarion sighs, "I suppose everyone deserves a second chance. I personally don't think these men will change their ways, but I concede they are due their opportunity. May Sarenrae grant me strength."

Aarion pulls out a blunt tipped arrow and inspects it a moment.

"I can only hope, that the lives these men are willing to ruin, is an equitable price for their chance at redemption."

(GM QUESTION) Is the roof of the building flat, and is it possible to move the dog to the roof and release him?

I don't have any hard data on the roof but I like the creativity so I'll say the roof is flat enough for your purposes, getting the dog up there will take awhile and require two people, let's say about an hour between getting him out of the building and to the roof. What I'm most curious about is how youre opening the cage without being attacked.

Well a couple idea's come to mind about releasing the dog. Once the cage is on the roof, turn it away from the ladder. Then place a days rations in front of the cage. Allow the dog a moment to take in the scent of the food and acknowledge it. Then open the cage and quickly move down the ladder. If that doesn't work, then its ouch dog bite, ouch dog bite, ouch dog bite. Followed by cure moderate wounds wand! Not the best of ideas, but it might work.

The first option will work, you won't make friends with the dog but he'll ignore you in favor of the food long enough to let you down. It looks like you're all pretty much ready. I'm at work for the rest of the evening, I'll move forward to the next part of the scenario in the morning. If you'd like to add anything in the mean time feel free to post and I'll let you know if it works/is allowed in the update post.
