GM Wolfspirit's PbP Game Day IV: Siege of Serpents (Inactive)

As the Siege of Serpents Special is going to be starting in about a week, I was curious to see if there was a fresh batch of players that haven't already found a home to play it. I tried to find an active game myself, but it seemed fairly difficult to judge signs of life or what groups still needed people.

So with that in mind, I figured I'd put out feelers to see who all would be interested at this point. I already have one person express interest, so we'd need a few more to get the table rolling.

This will not be first come / first served, and depending on the number of responses, I'll keep the Recruitment open a week and post final confirmation the evening of 11/3/15. I want to ensure everyone has a good time and has a successful run of the Special (this might be some people's only shot to play it!)

Anyway, if you're interested, please message here and include what tiers / characters you're looking to play with. There's a high likelihood it will be low tier, but we'll see what all we get :)

I could probably fill a spot. (I've prepped it twice and run it once for F2F games, if that matters to you.)

Wolfspirit, I don't think Cricket is a playable race this season.

Sure, your strength is literally zero, but think of the skill bonuses for Hide and Perform (Leg)!

Watch out. A cricket with an Agile Amulet of Mighty Fists could be a nasty opponent. Especially if it took a level in Mouser.

I'd be interested in joining however my only low level char is currently tied up (not sure for how long).

So, how does a multi-table special work in PbP format? That's what I'm curious about most.

You're not entirely sure whether the foam atop the stein of beer he produces from seemingly nowhere is from the beer itself or from something dead festering at the bottom.

From the smell you think it's probably the latter.

If there is still room, Kharg, 1st level half-orc fighter is available.

A few people might need to finalize their characters and set an Alias though ;)

As for how the multi-table works in PbP, I think there's a place GMs get messaged about changes in status. I'm following up on that. Honestly, it wouldn't be that different from playing it face to face where you're in the middle of combat and suddenly the House GM cuts everyone off by a scene change ;)

One thing for this one, there's a LOT of skill rolling. I might start up a google drive spreadsheet for people to put their skill mods in to speed up a few points that I could roll for people.

Oh, and without giving too much away, one of the things I like about this kind of scenario is that it encourages a wide variety of skills. It's nice that Murderhobo-ism is being slowly discouraged.

I'm looking forward to it too, but now I wish that sorcerers had more than 2 skill points per level!

In case someone jumps ship let me know I'm currently rolling up a new level 1.

For consideration in this game, please make sure to make a post under the alias or give a link to the character you'd like to play with. It doesn't have to have a massive backstory, but I at least want to make sure the character looks right ;)

Closing this up tonight! Make sure to post your characters and / or any updates you might need. The next couple of days various GMs are going to be playing PbP Geek Sudoku with extra or missing party members.

I believe Nella is good to go, whatever table/group she happens to wind up with!

Markus is ready to go, still trying to get his backstory written, but I'm getting there.

Allright! Things are moving along and I even got some of the GM instructions for running the game: there will be a time element that I'll go into later. It does give a bit more of a fixed timetable than usual PbP, so it'll be important for people to be able to post roughly once a day or let us know if they're going to be unable to respond for a bit, so that I can move things along.
