No, no penalty for a failed aid another attempt.

So who has the highest Knowledge bonuses? We should have them do the research.

Yeah thats a toughie.... I have knowledge skills in the +4/+5 range so I am good for aid anothers. The library will likely yield a circumstance bonus. If we all aid another and succeed I am hoping a roll of 15+ should get us a good result.

GM what Knowledge check do we need? Local? History? Religion?

It would make sense for it to be either Local or History...which are not Ella's strongest skills. She has a base of +2 to any Knowledge skill, which also could be a good aid another baseline, but ultimately I'm guessing the best bets are Mathus and...maybe Lorant?

Sorry for the extended absence without notice, folks. The family member that had congestive heart failure has been moved to a permanent care facility and I am one of the ones tasked with emptying her apartment and sorting through her things. I've been spending every day working from 8 AM to about 8 PM at that, then coming home and doing work for the convention that I am helping put on in a month. We have to get this done as soon as possible, because they want to rent out the apartment. I don't know how long this is going to take, but it shouldn't be more than another week, tops. I don't blame anyone for dropping me, or dropping out of my game, but I hope you will stick with it.

I'm willing to wait. Take as long as you need. :)

Since we aren't on any kind of timeframe in game, and since Kendra just went through something awful, why don't we take this time to sit around the table with each other and talk. Most games don't have opportunities where GM absences line up so nicely with PC downtime?

[Con Mode] I have a convention in less than two weeks (March 4-6) at which I am the Game Operations Director (presiding over the game room). I will try to keep a regular pace, but if I fall behind, that's why. These last two weeks are the most hectic. Just letting everyone know.

Caught that, did you? I thought it was pretty clever, myself. Yes, my badge reads G.O.D. It's an old joke from when I attended this con many years ago (yep, I've gone from attending as a child to helping run it). I couldn't think of a name, so I just put God on the badge and I've been using it ever since. Hilarity ensued several years ago when my mother attended the con with me. Her badge read, "Mother of God."

I love playing Lorant as surrounded by these horrible happenings and being all "just another day at the office." XD

Mathus, I realized that we may have a potential issue...I was going to let you know that Edmund is an outsider, not an undead, which I thought would circumvent your drawback, but then I looked at your sheet and realized that those trigger it too. So I'm not sure what to do about it...I'd hate for my class feature to keep making you shaken.

(Though I guess it's only a big issue if Edmund appears right as combat's starting...)
