Sorry for the radio silence for the past two days. I was asked to switch to mid-shifts for two days because one of my co-workers got her wisdom teeth pulled, and I came down with an obnoxious cold at the same time, so I needed my rest in-between.

Hi all. I am going on a belated honeymoon and will have only sporadic access to internet between now and August 4th. I’ll try to check in when I can, but please don’t hesitate to bot me if need be!

Sorry, been dealing with out of town relatives for the past three days. Hopefully, I'll be able to eke out some time tomorrow.

Just a note to let everyone know that I am in the direct path of Hurricane Gordon. This should be fairly routine (I've weathered many such storms), but in case we lose power or I am otherwise out for a few days, that's what has happened. If you are in my game, stand tight and I'll be back. If I am in yours, please bot me as necessary.

Peanut butter jelly! Peanut butter jelly! Peanut butter jelly with a baseball...BAT! Peanut butter jelly! Peanut butter jelly! Peanut butter jelly with a baseball...BAT!

So are we rounding up or down for Lorant's healing? Both of those ended up being half-values. Technically if we added them together the two halves add up to a whole number, but that kind of feels like gaming the system...

This is a brief message to let everyone know that I am going to be on vacation from Sunday, 23 September until 1 October. As many of you may be aware, my wife is 90% blind from glaucoma. She wanted to see Walt Disney World through the eyes of friends who have never been (or haven't been in many years) before she can't see at all. So I, she, and 9 of our friends are all going to Walt Disney World for a week!
During this time, my posting will be greatly curtailed, if not nonexistent. If you are in my game, I will continue upon my return, just sit tight. If I am in your game, please feel free to bot me as required.
During this week leading up to my vacation, I will be very busy and may be slowed, but I will try to get a post out before leaving for the week.

Lorant Endronil |

Wow, I did NOT know about your wife's glaucoma. I think what you're doing with her is a magnificent thing, and I hope you, she and all your friends have fun! :)
That means Lorant regained 6 HP, putting me at 10 HP overall.

Yeah, she has 90% vision loss in her left eye and is completely blind in her right. She's had glaucoma since she was 14 years old and went blind in her right eye about 15 years ago. Up until recently, she could see pretty well through her left eye, but now that is going as well. We know that it is only a matter of time before she goes completely blind and we are preparing for that eventuality, but that doesn't mean that we can't fight it tooth and nail until it happens.
I serve as her eyes for driving and emails. She can recognize when someone is standing there versus no one and can see vague "blobs" as she puts it. She can read if she puts on her readers and strains to see the screen (putting her nose almost on the screen to do so), but I generally read for her, rather than making her try.
Fortunately, technology has made it a little easier. Her phone announces who is calling and reads some emails (though not all) and Facebook to her. Our friends are also very helpful, acting as seeing-eye humans when we are out and about (and if she must go out without me for some reason).

Hi folks, I am so sorry for the absence. I must not have been getting updates. On my end it looks like there has been no activity in the game. The site outage killed a number of games I'm in, so I have quite a few games in my tab that haven't updated in a month or more so I guess it just didn't strike me as odd. Again, I'm really sorry.
I'm going to get caught up now.
EDIT: Go figure. Not getting notifications botched up my Eidolon's big dramatic reveal. After all that build up too. Sigh.
The up side is that it can be a quadruped. Or a biped. Most of the time it's a burrowing serpentine thing though. I was going to have it pop out of the ground and start dragging things under. Oh well.

I will be leaving on a family vacation tomorrow to Lake Geneva, WI, the birthplace of D&D! While I will have internet access for the five days of the trip, posting will most likely be phone-based and therefore sporadic and laconic.

I realized that the one other thing we could do to heal Ed--that'd be cheaper--is get a healer's kit and have someone use the Heal skill to treat deadly wounds. Can only do that once, though.

Eleanora Olexina |

Thanks for healing my pet, gang. :)
Also, just a heads-up: I'll be traveling from Saturday morning until Monday evening. Will try to check in via mobile, but please feel free to bot me during that time!

It has been a very busy week, much of which was spent with my parents whom I was visiting. I have a con this weekend, and I have some family business to take care of next week. I may be a few more days between posts, but don't worry. When I get everything straightened out, I'll be back on the action bandwagon. In the meantime, sit tight, or if I am in your game, please bot me as necessary.

Update: My wife's elderly aunt has been moved into a care facility. My wife and I are tasked with clearing out her room of all her belongings and finding a place to store them. We have about 10 days to do this, and we have our own affairs to worry about as well. To complicate things, she has lost several savings bonds and other important papers (like her will) in her room, so we can't just go in and bulldoze the place. We have to look for the papers as we pack. It's slow going and very tedious, so until we get the room vacated, my posting will be limited, but I will try to keep pace as much as possible.

![]() |

Okay, we have finished the bulk of the work. We just have to clean out her downstairs locker area (about six boxes and a couple of suitcases). No bonds, but we did find her will and we have collected a filing cabinet full of important-looking papers that we have to go through later. It's been hell, but I think that we are over the hump.

![]() |

It is. We cleaned out the locker yesterday and have most of her stuff moved into a proper storage unit (instead of my dining room, where about a third of it had been sitting for the last two years, since the last time she switched rooms). She's not overly happy about it, but it had to be done.

A message to all my games:
I apologize for disappearing late last week! I am a freelancer and my work has suddenly and unexpectedly kicked into high gear. On top of that, I’m attempting to apply to graduate programs, and most of those applications are due in early January. I was hoping that I could keep up my posting rate, but between work and the holidays I’m clearly going to slump a little.
If I’m a player in this game, PLEASE feel free to bot me if I haven’t posted in a bit. I really appreciate it.
If I’m the GM, I can only ask for your kind patience. I’ll try to post ASAP to keep us moving.
Sorry, again, for the slightly delayed notice. Things should clear up after the next two weeks.

This is possibly going to be irritating, but...I was thinking I may rebuild Lorant as a new class. It turns out Wes Schneider wrote a Vampire Hunter class based on Vampire Hunter D (part of the Pathfinder supplement he wrote for Vampire Hunter D: Message from Mars), and ultimately Lorant's inspiration was a mashup of D and Geralt of Rivia from The Witcher. You folks think that'd be a good idea for Lorant to be converted into a true-blue Vampire Hunter?

![]() |

Fine by me. I like for the players to enjoy playing their characters.

Lorant Endronil |

Should I just convert him to the new class and retcon it, or should I retrain in-game, remaining as an Inquisitor until most likely after we complete The Haunting of Harrowstone?
