Unamatrix Zero |

Just for you Chronicler ... http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/49795/?

Araden the Wanderer |

"Will you need the other laser weapons as well if we take this?" the gunslinger asks, gingerly taking the case once the Sheriff has replaced the Cricket within.

Unamatrix Zero |

I wasn't asking anything for FIDO unless I should. I was asking for the Plasma Rifle (long range), the cricket for laser damage, and the plasma pistol or I can upgrade Fido's laser, and give Unamatrix the Plasma Rifle and the Cricket.

Unamatrix Zero |

[Unamatrix-NET] "Araden, please tell the Sheriff that I would like the Plasma Rifle, the Noisy Cricket, and the Laser Pistol so I can upgrade FIDO with the parts from the laser pistol. Thank you!"

Araden the Wanderer |

"Master Shieldmarshal, our ally requests the plasma rifle as well as this weapon, and a laser pistol's workings to upgrade his drone. If you could be so kind?" The gunslinger asks the question bluntly, not trying to appeal to the Sheriff's better nature, nor lowering himself with pleading. I will be surprised if he agrees to this, Unamatrix. At best we can hope for the Cricket and rifle.

Unamatrix Zero |

[Unamatrix-NET] "I understand Araden, thank you for asking."

Volk "The Breaker" |

Volk will test his new plasma claws, making sure not to come close to anyone or anything in the vicinity. His eyes light up with wonder as the points of his flanges become lit with energy. He shadowboxes in place, his claws raking at the air, sending a crackle with each swing.

GM Wasteland Chronicler |

"Consider it done. I will grant your friend's request, Araden. Now I understand that you all were compensated by Lady DeSoras? I can show you to our general store. We have nearly every item that those exploring the Wastes will need. Now, if you will follow me, I will show you the way." the Shieldmarshal says.
As you follow him out of the tavern, you walk with him across the street into a building titled Mugalow's Emporium. "Now, Mugalow is one of the finest members of our little community here. He's a formidable wizard and a Boggard to boot, but he's quite sane. At least, enough for him to not turn us all into toads, burn the village down, or, at least as far as I know, copulate with reanimated corpses, so despite how he appears, try to be respectful. In the Mana Wastes, an angered arcanist is a danger to everyone, even themselves. Now that we have that out of the way, let me introduce you to him." Varis says as he opens the swinging double doors.
As you walk into Mugalow's Emporium, you smell sweet spices like something out of a Qadiran bazaar. Your eyes take a moment to shift from the glaring Wasteland sun to the somewhat dimmer shop. As your eyes refocus, you look around the room, draped in regal blue and purple banners with golden arcane runes stitched into them, the carpet a spiraling Vudran mandala, and the shelves lined with items both mundane, technological, magical, and technomagical. The shop's counter bears a strange small brazier burning with a blue flame. Behind the counter is a hunched figure in black hooded robes, it's back bent and crooked. A soothing, nearly sibilant, voice speaks from underneath the hood [b]"Ah, welcome travelers. I am Mugalow, finest wizard ever produced by the Boggards of. I have taken the liberty of casting some rather... invasive divinations into your pasts. Quite fascinating. I hope you will forgive me for that small indulgence, but I simply could not resist when I heard you were helping our situation. I would have offered to help, but my time in the Wastes has been... harsh to me.". Mugalow pulls back his voluminous hood, revealing a twisted visage. His frog-like face is old and withered, covered in large pustules that leak a glowing blue fluid. His left eye is about twice the size of his right eye and seems to melt partially into a 3rd eye just above the left. He has an odd patch of silvery fur growing on the top of his bulbous head. "So, what are you interested in purchasing? I have an array of fine goods from all corners of the world. Let me know what you are interested in and I'll see if I have anything in stock.".

Imak Kaandi |

Imak is no stranger to the ravages of the Mana Wastes but he never likes to see good people so afflicted. Especially since he knows that as a caster in the Wastes, sooner or later they would take their toll on him as well.
It's a pleasure to meet you, sir. If you have something for me to write on, I'll make a list of what I'm looking for. I lost a good deal of gear on my last trip.
Tumbleweed of the Apocalypse sounds like it belongs in a Final Fantasy game

Unamatrix Zero |

[UnamatrixNET] - "Araden, my friend, please thank the good sheriff for his generosity." ... <EOM>/ ... FIDO follows the party into Mugalow's Emporium and scans the shop for useful items.
Does FIDO or Unamatrix recognized any needed items?

Dr. Guthrak Olafson PhD |

How much is it to copy spells/formulae?
Doc strides in and lets out a low whistle as he looks around. He offers a hand to the mutated boggard. "A pleasah to meetcha Mugalow, you must know ahm Guthrak already. Ah could use a few things, whatcha got in the ways of portable alchemy equipment an' copeeahble spells er form-you-lays?"
Bring it! Doc readies Limit Break-Weed Whackergeddon

Volk "The Breaker" |

Volk's test run of his plasma claws deems them satisfactory. He thanks and follows the sheriff to the Wizard's store.
The Kodiak's sensitive nose is initially overwhelmed with the scent of Mugalow's poultices and herbs, but he soon regains his composure.
A visible look comes across Volk's face as Mugalow mentions "extensive divinations into your pasts." At the soonest opportunity, Volk will approach the small figure and adress him in a hushed tone:
"I fear that with your divinations, wise one, that you have seen my rather... bumbling past. I would appreciate a certain degree of discretion about such humiliating subjects. As remuneration, I would be willing to do a favor in return."

GM Wasteland Chronicler |

Will post tomorrow! As for whether to roleplay during the shopping, that is up to you, I was just introducing an NPC to you guys. If you want to RP, that is fine, if you want to just get the shopping and rest over quickly, I can 'fast-forward' the scene, so to speak, and that is fine too. Just let me know what you would like to do. And Unamatrix, Mugalow will be giving you a 'quest item' of sorts, so yes, your scan will turn up something useful!

GM Wasteland Chronicler |

Oh yes, costs of copying formulae! I normally do not charge prices from friendly NPCs to give out such things, unless it is a rare spell, an overpowered spell, or everyone is playing a caster type that belongs to a magical/alchemical academy. Even in the last case, that is covered under yearly tuition fees. So, to answer your question, you get them for free from Mugalow. Unless you would like to but a formula book from Mugalow that also has a small bonus, like the books in Ultimate Magic?
Also, everyone want to RP the shopping or no? It matters nothing to me either way, but the question was raised, so I'm just asking for some input..

Unamatrix Zero |

Unless there is a plot device inside the shop, I agree, let's move on.

Unamatrix Zero |

Before or as we are moving on, please tell me about whatever this is (plot device?)? ... "And Unamatrix, Mugalow will be giving you a 'quest item' of sorts, so yes, your scan will turn up something useful!"

Unamatrix Zero |

FYI Doc - Your command line connection to Unamatrix Zero timed out after 5 minutes of idle use.

GM Wasteland Chronicler |

Eager for the meat grinder lol? Make your shopping lists, and then we'll proceed!
The first item, located on a high shelf, is a glowing hexagonal object of silvery metal with a glowing blue core the color of the sky. This is an arcane power core, which Unamatrix will need soon, because its power reserves are operating on emergency capacity, meaning it has around a week's worth of time before it powers down.
The second item is an optic lens array located on a low shelf, which Unamatrix will need since its previous lens system was broken by Splitear Wilk's bandits when they took a pot shot at what they thought was a broken robot. Without this, Unamatrix will have to rely on Fido's sensors to see, which has a split second lag in data transfer which could be detrimental in combat.
And the third item is an ancient memory codex crystal that looks like a cone made out of a highly reflective metal. These ancient devices were used in the Mage Wars to store important information. That it is for sale shows that Mugalow is willing to sell almost anything, because most would not part for one for any price.
The prices on the items are as follows: arcane power core-5PP, optic lens array-2PP, and memory codex-13PP for a total of 20PP.

Doc happily picks through various well-made tools and bundles them up, happy as a halfling in a candy store. He also picks up some base ingredients and reagents for alchemical crafting and spends some time with the boggard discussing spells and formulas, spending some time to copy several new ones into his journal. He tests out his new kit to load a syringe with a basic formula and injecting himself, smiling as his wounds heal further.
Preparing Cure Light Extract in his open slot and using.
The doc cuts into the gnoll/ghoul remains to find out more about the particular mutation and to harvest the depleted Lazurite.
He asks the sheriff about the relic he was handed earlier and where it was found.
Before the long day is done he spend an hour over a foul smelling beaker as he brews up a replacement mutagen, chatting with the others if they are around.

Unamatrix Zero |

Anyone heard from Araden? Been waiting on a post from him. I'll PM him. We will resume once he posts.
He's missing in action. I belong to his Fallout Game and he has been absent.

Unamatrix Zero |

Shall we bot him for now?
Chronicler, I would bot Araden or poof him until he returns so you do not lose other players. School must be kicking his butt right now since it is the end of the school year.
