Does the water get deeper as it starts to slope, or is the water running down the slope at approximately the same depth? Assuming it doesn't get so deep that holding one's breath is necessary, Aldy will lead the way down the passage. Searching for traps and whatnot

Aldy wades into the room to see a shimmering portal larger than the one the group had seen previously in the chamber beyond the makeshift half wall. But in an alcove is another familiar creature, a water elemental, this one as big as an ogre, and just a mean.

A water elemental can create a swirling vortex of water that can suck in and batter around anything near it. Thankfully the water level is not high enough here for that. They get bonuses to attack and damage when both they and their target are in water, but penalties if they are fighting someone on dry land. Besides the typical elemental traits, elementals of this size are resistant to damage (DR 5/-).

As Breelajah closes in, the elemental takes a swipe at him. (AoO; has reach)

Hearing the rushing water, Flint sloshes towards the wall and sticks his hands and feet inside it as if it were water! He mutters prayers to Torag and clambers along the wall just above the water. Seeing the elemental he sighs. "If I wanted water I would have gone to the ocean!" He halfheartedly tosses another mud ball at the creature.

I think you missed the 9 points of healing I gave Brand previously - it leaves him staggered at 0 HP I believe

You weren't adjacent to him on the map, so I assumed the healing was a mistake that you hadn't corrected. But I think I see what happened. You and Brand must have been writing posts at about the same time, so you ended up out of position.

Brand is conscious, but at 4 hp. Another hit from the elemental is probably not going to do wonders for him.

Question for next round GM: I see some table looking things on the map - are they high enough up that someone unconscious on them would have their head out of the water? If so, would it be possible for me to move Brand on top of it as a full round action next round? Move action to grab him, standard to move him on the table?

The table is high enough, but you are small with an 8 Strength. You're max heavy load is 60 lbs. That's barely enough to carry his armor. He'd definitely be heavier than you could lift and move at 5 ft per round (120 lbs). The best you'd probably be able to do is roll him along the ground at 5 ft per round, but he'd still be underwater.

Nah, you're still good. The con check for drowning is only DC 10, and goes up by one each round. And you still have 4 rounds before you die to HP damage
