Ha! Touché.
Pandora is able to stabilize the sleeping behemoth, but quickly acknowledges the impracticality of trying to recage the elephant.
Fine with you guys taking a couple of rounds to heal up.
As the party gathers to decide on their next course of action, Desna intervenes and makes the choice for them: a hue an dcry arise from across the grounds, where a tall statue, cast in metal with the likeness of storied Pathfinder Durvin Gest, is attacking the nearby crowd!
Artian (1): 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6
Artian (2): 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11

Sareth: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
statue: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (8) - 1 = 7
Round 1 is spent by the party getting across the field and by the statue moving/attacking, so neither side will be considered flat-footed at this point.
Round 2
Merisiel — up
Kalendir — up
Artian — up
Pandora — up
Roary — up
statue — TBD
Sareth — TBD
Merisiel, Kalendir, Artian, Pandora, and Roary are up!

I believe my Channels were enough to heal everyone.
Arcana: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (12) + 4 = 16
Kalendir |
Kalendir moves across the field to get into a better position against the massive statue.
Damned statues are moving now also. What the hells are the Aspis up to here?
Double Move
Pandora Soulkeeper |
We spent 3 rounds fighting last encounter, and it seems 2 more healing, plus one more closing to the statue.
As haste was 8 rounds, can we count we have still 2 haste rounds remaining?
K. arcana: 1d20 + 8 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 8 + 2 = 12
"What!? A statue is attacking us? What's that? I have never seen something like that!" proclaims Pandora.
Round 1
The woman runs throw the crowd pushed by her haste spell until she reaches a position behind a column.
Round 2: Current turn
Pandora sends a rush of arrows to the statue in the hope that is able to disable it.

Kalendir double moves!
Pandora five foots and shoots three times, but can't hit! Can't move and full attack, so I adjusted Pandora on the map.
Roary charges, rages, and attacks! His falchion bites through the metal hide of the statue!
Merisiel takes advantage of Roary's presence to flank! Even though not all of the damage gets through, she finds a vulnerable spot in the statue's build and takes advantage!

It hit me with an AoO and then trampled over me, so it hurts me hard. Fortunately Roary is doing a god job distracting the statue, so I´m safe for now.
Sareth |
"Sarenrae bless this battle!" Bless and move.
Pandora Soulkeeper |
That's fine! I did not properly understood we were starting in the edge of the map
Astonished by the fierce of the statue and scared by Roary's safety, Pandora sends forth a swarm of arrows with Serenrae's blessing trying to help the group to drop the statue before it can kill the warrior.

CLW: 1d8 + 5 ⇒ (7) + 5 = 12
"We must keep moving, the Lodge is under great pressure colleagues. Let's look for other pathfinders to help" she adds determined.
GM thunderspirit |
Apologies for the delay; yesterday was my regular game day in the midst of the season's first snowstorm (only 8 inches, so...) and last night/today I was a bit under the weather.
Once Pandora takes care of Artian's injuries, it is a short sprint from the menagerie grounds to the Mausoleum just inside the northwest region of the Grand Lodge. The Mausoleum is an enormous, columned stone structure that serves as both temple and fortress. Two wings flank an open courtyard, and the imposing structure is adjacent to a thick copse of trees.
Breathlessly, the party makes it to the Mausoleum's courtyard, a scene of destruction a few years ago, and Aspis agents have now smashed what the Society rebuilt here. Shattered statues and religious sculptures are strewn about the courtyard, and the bodies of two caretakers are slumped next to the doors on the western side of the courtyard.
Map updated.

GM thunderspirit |
How much time has passed until we reach the mausoleum? To keep track of the shield of protection duration
According to the scenario, moving from location to location within a region is supposed to take 10 minutes — you guys did both within the Menagerie area so I didn't see a reason to impose that last time — but AFAICT is silent on time spent moving between regions. So I'm guessing here. We'll say any rounds/level buffs are gone (though if you've got something you can turn off and on, feel free to do so), and anything that's 10 min/level has one 10 min increment spent.
Sareth's heal check on the bodies by the western door reveals that the two caretakers are still alive, but are still losing blood.
Pandora Soulkeeper |
Pandora makes clear signals to the pathfinders pointing excited towards a door open ajar on her side of the courtyard.
Unwilling to go alone, she does wait for the others to march inside the building. If others agree with the move or approach her, she opens the door and goes inside, and keeps moving following any trail of open doors or similar, unless someone else takes the lead.
Ok, removed 10 heroism minutes!

Sareth's rebuke death is sufficient to revive one fo the caretakers, who is profoundly grateful. Name's Norry. We was jumped, doncha know, he says after guzzling from a waterskin. Pretty lass who pretended to be a Pathfinder, and a pair o' dwarves. Never saw them til the lass had gotten under Dori's skin, and then CLUNK, right atop his head w' the side o' an axe! Then it went black for me...guessing they did the same, he says, rubbing a visible knot on his head.
Oh! But you'll be needin' the supplies be stashed here! He directs you to a loose flagstone in the courtyard where you find a cache of supplies along with a pair of potions of lesser restoration and a couple of vials of a silversheen variant which works as adamantine vs. damage reduction (not hardness).
Inside the double doors to the west, you find a room equipped with steel tables, lab equipment (medical and alchemical), and barrels of wash water. The light here is dim from the windows along the east wall. Pandora recognizes this from her study days at the Lodge as the dissection room where Pathfinder conduct autopsies.
Beyond is the ossuarium, where skeletons are cleaned thoroughly using kilns and/or live beetles in glass enclosures. Tools to disassemble and reassemble a set of bones are available throughout this chamber. Lighting is dim in here as well.
You spend several minutes thoroughly searching both areas, but do not find any obvious evidence of a raiding party.
We'll call that another 10 minutes of time.
Roary Flamebearer |

After Merisiel assures Roary the doors aren't trapped, he opens them. These open onto another set of double doors, and when they are opened Roary feels a blast of cold air. There is only a small amount of light here, but Roary quickly activates his wayfinder.
The small amount of light that ekes into this chamber reveals a floor covered with grey flagstones and a series of stone cubicles with iron doors and bronze nameplates. Each nameplate bears a name, though they are unfamiliar: "H. Delbrück, historian; M. Waldman, professor; B. Kenobi, crazy old man".
Opening a few of the iron doors, you discover that the nameplates are evidently indicative of names of the recently departed; the corpses hang here as if in a meat locker, safely preserved from decay.
Sareth |
I'll use another round on the one still unconscious 1d4 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7
I'll stay with the group, pushing on and staying as a rear guard.
Pandora Soulkeeper |
"Ewks..." Pandora tries to close her nostrils with her right hand which produces a funny voice when she talks "It seems like no one has altered the order here. Which fortunately means we might look on the other rooms"
The woman helps the others search the room anyway but she soon proposes to look the other door.
Perception+HR: 1d20 + 9 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 9 + 2 = 26
Kalendir |
Kalendir's face cringes with the nauseating smell. You are right. Seems they must have just passed through here.
Kalendir moves as quickly as he can to the other set of double doors and opens them once everyone is ready.

Before opening the door, Sareth beseeches Sarenrae for a Blessing.
