    Stepping through the mirror, the party finds itself in a canted room, sloping some thirty degrees to the east (toward the opening on the map). Were you in the room when it happened, it would surely have caused some of you to fall over. As it is, it still makes any movement to the west (away from the opening) difficult terrain without a DC 10 Acrobatics check. Far below the opened part of the tower, a column that seems to have come from elsewhere on this level has left a significant impression on the well-manicured lawn some 300 feet down.

    Roary has already opened a door into the rest of the tower; the floor appears empty. To the north and west are windows, and there are arrow slits built into the walls.

    Kalendir opens his door as Pandora moves to the last one; inside he finds ancient siege supplies — barrels of oil alongside a decrepit wheelbarrow, and several crates of serviceable, if mundane, arrows. Mundane versions of any weapon or ammunition from the Core Rulebook can be found here. Nice little "give" to lower-tier tables

    If you can, please put party buffs up on the map page so everyone can be reminded of them.

    As the door opens, a blast of wind nearly knocks everyone bakc down the stairs; the top floor is an open space, undivided by walls except for the small space partitioning the stairwell. Windows large enough to step through line the exterior walls. Immense magical circles are permanently etched into the floor, their lines and curves inscribed and filled with several types of metal. Faint, multi-colored mist roils within the southern circle.

    Two strange contraptions stand near the northwest and southwest windows. Each device is a large, red-tinted crystalline lens mounted in a frame so that they may be angled in all directions.

    DC 20 Kn (engineering):
    These appear to be weapons of some sort.

    DC 25 Kn (engineering):
    You suspect these are energy weapons. The red tinted lens would suggest fire.

    DC 30 Kn (engineering):
    These are skylances, recovered from a Shory ruin. They allow a user to channel fire spells through them to fire scorching rays. Even without spells, they can still fire once per day.

    You spy a trio of half-orcs here, each prominently displaying an Aspis badge! They appear as surprised as you!
