Not trying to make him feel bad! Hahaha. Doing poorly enough on my own as well, haha.

Didn't take it that way; just demonstrating that Hawthorne's contributions are multidimensional: he's able to suck on many different fronts! :-D

GM Tektite |

Gannus cuts into the hezrou once!
Amira heals Gannus.
Glaurung stabs and hits the demon!
Hawthorne attacks, but his strikes fail to strike!
Samhain sends more arrows into the bog!
Attack vs Gannus: 1d20 + 22 ⇒ (16) + 22 = 38
Damage: 1d8 + 10 ⇒ (3) + 10 = 13
Attack vs Glaurung: 1d20 + 22 ⇒ (5) + 22 = 27
Damage: 1d8 + 10 ⇒ (7) + 10 = 17
The demon slashes and cuts Gannus, then twists and gashes the little gnome that stabbed him!
Party up!
So close! Come on Team "Who Needs Lesser Restoration"!

Stop teasing, Tektite. This is the combat that never ends...yes it goes on and on my friends...

Samhain decides to switch focused aim for just getting arrows in the damned thing.
Manyshot w/ Rapid Shot: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (16) + 16 = 32

Iterative: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (3) + 11 = 14

Clustered Shots, at least.
After getting one solid hit, Samhain calls down his bird to try to do the same.
Dive bomb!: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (7) + 15 = 22
2d4 + 5 ⇒ (3, 1) + 5 = 9

To no avail.

Nice! I'd like to see him make THAT concentration check.
What are the statuses of the leeches? Not seen them act for a while. Did I miss them getting bite-sized?
Samhain scans the area for more threats before flying to the nearest chrysalis. He draws his longsword and readies to sever it.
"I don't know if I can cut this down and catch it."
He waits for someone to catch it before backing it down.

GM Tektite |

As the demon attempts to teleport himself out of his troubles, Gannus stabs hard with his blade and the demon falls to the ground in a heap!
Most definitely out of combat now.
As the party catches their breath and licks their wounds, you notice again the sac hanging from the trees.
Cutting down and cutting open the chrysalises reveal the missing Uprooters. It appears that the sacs were some sort of way to transform the elves into demons, but the party arrived in time to stop any of the transformation from beginning. As the elves are removed and revived, Lanveral comes too and looks around. I appreciate the rescue, I do, but why have mercenaries been allowed into Kyonin?

GM Tektite |

The elf rocks back on his heels and a queer look crosses his face as the hears the name Tenasi.
Though Gannus and Samhain don't sense anything but anger from Lanveral, Amira very quickly picks up that the elf is plotting revenge against Tenasi for what he considers abandoning him and his Uprooters. Futhermore, Amira's knowledge of Calistria, coupled with the fact that Lanveral is an inquisitor of the goddess, means that the vengeance is sure to be painful for Tenasi.

Amira, finally out of combat, returns to what she's good at (which I apparently succeed with an assumed T10. Neat!)
She adresses the upset Calistrian. "Perhaps you can focus your current mentality into the frontside of some demons in the Worldwound, yes? Did demons not cause this issue in the first place by capturing you?"
Stretched Logic diplomacy/anger management? (Domain Power): 1d20 + 22 + 5 ⇒ (13) + 22 + 5 = 40

![]() |

Hawthorne attempts to help Amira with her Diplomacy. Yes, and truly, Tenasi did not abandon you, he says in Elven, or else we would not be here on a rescue mission. We have received no recompense for this, my friend; it is sad to hear us called "mercenaries."
Aid Another: 1d20 ⇒ 16

Phew! This exploded over night!
Glaurung spends some time looking the elf captain up and down. She smirks a bit to herself.

GM Tektite |

Yeah, those were assumed T10's, hope that is fine.
With the smooth, irrefutable logic that Amira is well known for, the cleric talks down Lanveral from his his position of vengeance. The elf inhales deeply and nods. Aye, you are probably correct, though I still think Tenasi is spineless, I'll let it lie. We elves have long lives and long memories.
With Fihralaz defeated and with the assistance of the surviving elves, the party has little difficulty escaping from Tanglebriar and reuniting with the Uprooters at Mount Armiya. Another group of elves arrives soon thereafter to receive a report of the party's success and escort the victorious outsiders safely out of Kyonin. Waiting for them at the border is a messenger who informs them of General Tenasi’s appreciation of their service and the promise of elven allies at a time and place to be named by the Pathfinder Society.
Thus concludes #5-05 The Elven Entanglement!
And no one died! Yeah!
The last part was purely a need to know which box to check, i.e. If Lanveral seeks vengeance, check B, ect..
Scenario has been reported and chronicles have been sent to most. Amira's and Hawthorne's are on the way.

Oh, totes okay. Love that T10, Especially if it's something as trivial as "ID Common Holy Symbol DC 10" when I have a +18 Kn(R). I don't think T10 is actually an option for countering Bluff with SM since I believe it is considered a contested roll, but I'd still probably make it. Plus, the scenario probably just lists a DC anyways, so it doesn't even count as contested (because screw the rules!)
