He takes a moment to search the room thoroughly before suggesting the party keep moving.

GM Tektite |

Healing your wounds, the party checks the north and west chambers, but finds nothing of interest. Taking the spiral stairs in the northwest corner, the party find yourselves in what used to be a library.
Tall bookcases fill this impressive chamber. The elaborate fresco on the ceiling depicts devotees of Irori in meditation. Wisps of incense wind through the scene like a fanciful ribbon of smoke.
4d20 ⇒ (4, 13, 7, 3) = 27
Looking around, the party does not notice anything unusual.

GM Tektite |

After spending some time combing through the library, Shozole spots a secret door in the southwest corner of the room. Going through the secret door, the party wends north around the library and back south to a secreted area. The iron door to this chamber is covered in complex sigils and runes painted in delicate black lacquer—a message repeated over and over in several languages, including Common: “Beware! Dark Oblivion Lies Within!”
The lock to this door is very complex, beyond Shozole's capability. The party needs a key!
Turning back to head back to another part of the monastery, the party notices a secret door that they missed earlier. Opening the door reveals a recessed mesh of iron gridwork crisscrosses the northern end of this room. Hundreds of tiny blue runes have been painted inside of each of the small squares formed by the grid pattern. A long-dead figure lies slumped against the wall to the northeast. Also in the room is a very angry looking creature. Dull, red eyes, grasping claws, and leathery wings give a demonic aspect to this creature's smoky form.

Ok I'm back! Successful house-hunting trip!
"Beware! Dark Oblivion Lies Within!? I don't know if we want to go in then. . . but I suppose we must, right?"

GM Tektite |

Shozole studies the creature and readies to take a pot shot!

Emraeal Briskfury |

I can use the cure scroll with a caster level check but you can keep it; I've got several of my own cure scrolls that I made earlier.
"Well, that. . . smoky thing. . . didn't last long. What else is in this chamber? What is this big grating in the floor?"

GM Tektite |

Emraeal recognizes the the grating has runes onscibed on it and that it performs some function in holding back summoned creatures.
Moving on, the party descends to the first floor and explores the northern part of the monastery. You find yourselves in what appears to have been the temple to Irori. A blue mosaic dominates the floor of this chamber. The ceiling rises to several domes twenty-five feet above. A large marble statue of a robed man with hair braided in a loop and worn like a necklace looks down on the chamber serenely from the east.
Moving east in this room, you enter a smaller chamber. This dusty chamber’s walls are painted with fading frescoes of monks engaged in acts of acrobatic prowess. At the room’s eastern corner is a high-backed stone chair. In the chair sits a figure wrapped head to toe in moldering linen strips.
As you approach, the figure looks up with dead eyes and holds up a hand for you to halt.
Any obvious devotees of Irori?
