The party recuperates and heads toward the dragon's den. Travling south of the monastery, you find a low hill completely overgrown with vegetation, though someone spots some faint trails up the hill and what looks to be openings at the top of the hill.

Happy to be done napping, Boris lumbers along in search of dragons.

He cautiously enters one of said openings.

Well I could just leave Emrael blind and let Boris take care of it.

Em steps away from Boris and very quietly and politely asks Garen to remove his ailment.

Ok, all leveled to 7 and ready to take on the dragon!

The finds a entry point and enters the dragon's cavern. Taking a tunnel to the right, you begin to enter a larger chamber when you hear a booming voice say. "“What is this? Who are you? You dare come before the mighty Aeteperax uninvited and soil this lair with your abject disrespect? Name yourselves so that I might know whose blood will stain my cave!”

"I am Garen and I am here to end your tyranny."

Emraeal responds in Draconic, "I am Emraeal and we are here to spill your blood in this cave, Szangi." He spits the last word in disgust.

"I am King Shozole the Best, and I will win your money pile so I can become the real king!"

The dragon seems shaken to the point of being staggered by the sound of his true name!

"You will pay for your insolence" He hisses menacingly, as he begins to move toward the party!

Shozole sneaks forward, apparently unseen by the dragon!

The dragon roars and takes to the air, moving toward the party, then lands on the floor of the cavern, about 70 feet away! "You will pay with you lives, I say!"

Party up

Em raises his shield and pushes forward, starting up his raging song.

"Beware of the slumber-some drakein that sleeps
he spits out flaming fire don't wake the beast.
Feign drowsy eyes as he guards golden heap."

Em then casts a spell and goes invisible!

Yay move action raging song!

Raging song: +2 Str/Con/Will, -1 AC, increased healing, acid resistance 3, and lesser elemental rage

Spurred on by the elf’s raging song, Boris advances clutching his furry fists. As he does, he watches the dragon closely, wary of a breath weapon.

Moving toward the dragon 30 feet and using Martial maneuvers for Dragon Bear Style and Lightning Reflexes.

Before Boris moves, Garen will cast Bull's Bear's Strength on him. He will also move forward.

Garen cast's a spell giving Boris great strength!

Boris moves warily toward the dragon!

Emraeal begins his raging song!

Maffei moves toward the dragon as well!

Shozole!

Seeing his hopes of sneak attack gone, Shozole will go to the square south of the warrior priest and fire his crossbow.

Shozole moves forward and fires his crossbow, but the bolt bounces off the dragon's tough hide!

The dragon snakes forward and the party hears a tremendous intake of breath. Moments later, it breathes a cone of acid on Maffei and Boris!

Acid Damage: 10d6 ⇒ (4, 5, 3, 6, 5, 6, 1, 4, 3, 4) = 41 DC 20 REF for half

Maffei Ref: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (6) + 11 = 17

Maffei's form withers under the acidic onslaught, but she still stands!

Stepping forward, she stabs at the dragon!

Attack 1: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (1) + 10 = 11
Damage: 1d6 + 6 + 1d6 ⇒ (6) + 6 + (2) = 14

Attack 2: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (11) + 9 = 20
Damage: 1d6 + 3 + 1d6 ⇒ (2) + 3 + (5) = 10

Alas, both of her strikes miss.

Swift action to swap lightning reflexes for weapon focus.

With his mighty ursine reflexes, Boris tumbles out of the way of the bulk of the blast. Before the dragon can recover, he charges forward and punches it in the face with a massive furry paw.

Dragon Bear Style Charge (rage, charge, strength): 1d20 + 10 + 1 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 10 + 1 + 2 + 2 = 26
Damage: 1d8 + 10 ⇒ (7) + 10 = 17

Boris tumbles away from the acidic breath, rolls up to standing and punches the dragon, but his paw-like fist deflects off the tough hide of the dragon!

Garen will cast a spell, asking a favor from the Inheritor.

Em continues his raging song (Don't forget about the 3 acid resistance! Every bit helps!) as he invisibly moves in to stab at the dragon!

Casting Bladed Dash. I can't tell from my phone if I have enough movement to get there or not. If not I'll just invisibly double move closer, circling around to flank.

Em works his way to the back side of the dragon and charges his sword with arcane energy as he swings with all his might, popping out of invisibility! Swift for arcane strike.

Alas, were I thinking to move into 30' range. Though I gotta admit that I got a chuckle out of the addition to the growing list of "things Feral and I interpret differently" for Greater Grapple's use/intent of the phrase "maintain." We've got to be running out of gray area text {that James Jacobs is the only one to have ruled on} by now, do ho ho.

The day I use a JJ post as a hardline "this is why X works like Y" is a low point in my rules layershipitude®. Good for a discussion, surely, but I know he's a self-proclaimed "not-a-rules guy." I'll just have to find other ways to make grapple less effective (while semi secretly yearning to use my Ifrit boon on a grapple-based "Macho Man But On Fire" PFS Cavalier of the Hammer.)

Though I don't think I'll ever figure out why the FAQ team allowed SLAs to count towards Prestige Classes. Feats and stuff, I get, but early entry to Mystic Theurge? I suppose a universal call is a good baseline, but being able to make it really dark 1/day seems like a low bar of "2nd level spells," eh, wot?

Emraeal comes out of invisibility and cuts the dragon with his dragon-hurting sword!

Boris grabs the dragon by the head! He then climbs on its neck, gets the dragon's head between his legs and pins it to the ground!

Garen moves over and heals Maffei!

Shozole fires his crossbow, hitting the pinned dragon once!

Maffei stands up and attacks the dragon!

Attack: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (9) + 12 = 21
Damage: 1d6 + 6 + 2d6 ⇒ (5) + 6 + (2, 6) = 19

But alas, she misses!

The dragon shakes its massive body, but can't get away from the bearman's iron grip!
