"Stop using your eyes and use your brain." Nigel says as he walks over to the NE corner with Tilver and Silas.

He then methodically starts rapping him staff on the wall, starting S and moving N along the eastern wall.

"It's an illusion so we have to focus on not seeing what we see."


Nigel discovers that the wall is merely illusory, and he can suddenly see through it to the passageway beyond!

"What the..." Tilver looks back at Silas. "You saw me touch that wall, right?" He shakes his head and tries to follow Nigel.

Beyond is a short corridor ending in a nondescript door. Checking it, you find no traps.

Silas readies his blade and waits for the others to open it.

Tilver checks the new door, trying to look like he's ignoring whatever Silas is doing.

The door opens with a click. Beyond is a large chamber painted in painfully garish colors so bright you'd almost think they were luminous.

Four people await you within, ready for mayhem.

The first is a male human wearing grey robes with an iron breastplate bearing the symbol of a coiled asp, ready to strike. His mace looks like a serpent’s head, similar to that on his chest.

The second is a dark elf woman, regal-looking and beautiful. She wears a long red cape and has a charcoal-grey skin tone.

The third is a a weasel-faced human male in a green hooded robe.

The fourth is a hideously deformed Harrow elf who wears a hooded maroon robe and silver bracers.

"Intruders!" shouts the first man.

"Unbelievers!" shouts the third.

"Suffer," whispers the woman.

Tilver steps up and trips the beautiful drow woman who curses him as she falls. "Slime! You will scream for my forgiveness as the flesh is removed from your bones!"

The weasel-faced man fires his pistol at Tilver, grazing his shoulder then steps up and stabs with his shortsword, though Tilver manages to deflect this.

The elf rises gracefully and stabs at Tilver with her spear. It is a mighty blow that nearly pierces his armor.

Nigel raises both arms, staff in one hand, and slowly brings them together. He then lowers them sharply and utters something sinister sounding. An inky blackness bursts forth from the tip of his staff and swirls forward and around the four people inside.

Counterspell (R):

TLDR; I can auto identify anything on the Arcane list level 6 or lower. I get a secret check to determine if I Crit and get save/AC bonuses. I can use my reaction to counter the spell, if I don't have it prepared, I will use Dispel Magic from my staff to Counteract (+16).

Rage x1, Sudden Charge x2. I move along the wall and around the red one in such away. That I am never adjacent to him in case he has some weird trickery. Then Sudden Charge lets me make an attack on Purple after I take two move actions.

The strange defenders of this place (Chaos Priests, they call themselves) reel back from Nigel's terrifying words, all save the drow woman, who blows him a kiss.

The man with the staff (PURPLE) (whom I previously failed to point is blurred slightly at the edges, making him hard to see with details)(who is not yet confronted with an angry litorian), casts a spell. Nigel has no trouble whatever identifying it as fire erupts around him and his friends.

"Burn with the fires of creation!" he yells.

Fireball (Basic Reflex save DC 26): 6d6 ⇒ (6, 1, 6, 2, 3, 2) = 20

Then the man with the snake mace (RED) raises it and snarls "The wrath of the Galchutt!" and casts a spell.

If you are Chaotic, you can ignore the Divine Wrath. If you are Lawful, give me a basic Fortitude save. If you are neither Lawful nor Chaotic, give me a basic Fortitude save, but your degree of success is one higher.

Silas: As I said above, it wasn't your turn. It is your turn now and I will apply the above actions. But you have a movement of 25'. So two moves while also avoiding coming within 5' of RED means you can't get to the point you've indicated, since that would take 60' of movement. I've moved Silas 10' north, where you can still attack Vocaetun. However, your attack will be a miss if you have the Sickness condition from Divine Wrath.

Fair enough. The DC for both checks should be 25, not 26.

That is an unwarranted assumption. Lots of groups worship Chaos.

Tilver:
The gunman is human and obviously dedicated to the gods of Chaos. He is strong and dexterous. That's about all you know.

Tilver stabs the gunman, leaving a deep wound. Grimacing, the gunman stabs back repeatedly, shanking Tilver in the chest. Tilver drops to the floor, bleeding out!

Then the fearsome drow woman rams her spear into Dain's side, drawing blood. She sighs with pleasure.

Vocaetun (PURPLE) steps back and gestures at Silas, spraying him with a strange gas. The litorian begins to giggle...

Theral (RED) shouts "Blood and souls for my lords of Chaos!", then touches Vocaetun, triggering his previously-cast Vital Beacon spell, curing him for 4d10 ⇒ (4, 6, 6, 1) = 17 hit points. He then gestures at Dain, transferring that harm to him!

Dain's willpower is strained as he tries to ignore the clamoring spirits all around him. Focusing, he first calls to the angry spirit urging it on. Then he senses two life spirits high above him in a vegetable garden and calls to them to help Tilver.

Finally, with a burst of magical speed, he stabs his spear at the Chaos priest.

A surge of energy crackles down his arm and into the staff. The orb atop it glows with a fiery red light before shooting out three beams of fire.

Nigel blasts Theral (RED) with two of his three rays, burning the Chaos Priest. In return, Theral hurls a ray of pure darkness back at the Inverted Pyramid wizard. Then he slaps his own chest, healing up some damage!
