I'm having a dumb moment, if I make multiple attacks in a round, do I roll damage just once and apply to any successful hits in this edition, or should I roll damage multiple times if I hit multiple times?

Hi folks,

I've been clinging to this campaign as long as I can since you're all a joy to play with, but I've been unable to keep up for a while now and have just bought a house (yay!) and will have even less time that normal over the next two months. I'm finally admitting its time for me to step aside and exit this campaign.

Hey all!

I had originally posted a human cleric for this game back in the day, but he's presently wandering around "The Vale" So I'll need to bring someone else in.

It looks like Lilika brought some frontliner and healing to the table. I will try and do the same unless there is another need I'm not seeing.

Thinking a dwarf servant of Torag. either straight cleric or paladin/cleric. I'll be working on him today, since I have plans for the rest of the weekend.

I normally play melee and skill, so If you have any ideas please give a shout!

It's hard to pass up the paladin archetype Stonelord. Considering 2 lvls paladin, the rest cleric. How badly do we need a 4th lvl divine caster compared to a 2nd lvl divine caster?

For what it's worth. A fighter in 2e is a perfect starting character and can serve as the party out of combat healer. (Anyone can fill this role with the right feats. :) )

Let me just say up front, I have no idea how much effort it took to 2e-ize something like this, but I appreciate the work. I haven't had a chance to play much 2e, did the first bit of a Plaguestone adventure that got derailed by onset of the pandemic last spring. So I'm glad to get back to it, but please pardon my noobishness if I do something "wrong". :D


Mostly I just eyeball the 1e creatures and make them 2e-ish. The creature the team is fighting now started out as a 1e version. Then, mid-fight, the creature was published in the new Bestiary 3, so its been run as that version ever since! I'm pretty sure the players never noticed.

For things that just don't work the way they used to, I wing it. It's not hard!

Here's a little bit of interesting.

I looked at everyone's character sheets today to see whether we were on target for the level. I ignored anything priced in coppers and entered the rest into a spreadsheet. I had to fudge a bit when it came to the cost of 1e items like Frizz's necklace of fireballs (by far the most expensive item any of you own).

Here's what I found:

Expected wealth at 4th level: 140 gp
Expected wealth at 5th level: 270 gp
Expected wealth at 6th level: 450 gp

Wymond: 155 gp
Perfire: 247 gp
Frizz: 397 gp
Lukas: 145 gp

And that doesn't count the party gear listed above:

- Bag of Holding (type 1) - 75 gp
- 2 Spire Tokens - 120 gp
- +1 chainmail - 166 gp
- minor healing potions (x4) - 16 gp
- lesser healing potion - 12 gp
Total: 289 gp.

Combined total wealth (not counting Lilika's personal gear): 1233 gp
Average divided by four players: 308.25 gp.

Interesting... Here I was thinking I wasn't giving away enough loot! Meanwhile, you guys are halfway to 6th level already.

Joining a game mid level and using the X number of items at Y levels can definitely set you ahead on wealth. :)
