Lena sends an acid arrow streaking over to Auren Vrood. This spell does work, and he snarls in pain. Meanwhile, Kawrock sends a dispel magic down. There seems to be a momentary struggle, and then suddenly the cloud vanishes, along with it the choking fumes.

Eldon begins babbling incessantly, and his voice reaches an irritating, impossible crescendo. However, Auren Vrood doesn't seem impressed.

"Cease your infernal babbling."

The two hands move up to engage with Arval, but the doughty warrior proves to be an almost impossible target. Kawrock suddenly shouts out a warning, and a tiny little winged devil that was sneaking up on Eldon is spotted. It leaps onto him, but fails to bite the halfling.

Whiskeyjack raises his shield to the sky, calling out a prayer to Angradd. A beam of light fires out from his shield, and slams right into Auren Vrood's face! The necromancer lets out a scream of pain and begins clawing at his eyes. He appears to be blinded.

"BAH! I will come for your hearts later!"

Auren Vrood then suddenly vanishes.

Eldon turns to face the tiny bat creature that sneaked up to him and tries to identify it.

Homonculus is now on the map, and also dead.

Eldon spins around as he's attacked, and with expert poise, skewers what is apparently Vrood's homonculus. The little construct dies on Eldon's rapier and is flicked to the ground.

Arval engages with the giant hands, but finds his attacks bounce off of the thick hide of the hands. Lena keeps laying in acid arrows on Vrood, stacking one on top of another.

Whiskeyjack suited deed to words as he buffed himself with some of Angradd's special power and waded into the fight with the hands, taking the one on the right. he kept his shield high and moving, trying to cover both Arval an himself.

Whiskeyjack stalks up and swings out thrice, brutally at the crawling hand. He connects twice, almost putting an end to the thing immediately.

Auren, realizing that his invisibility spell has probably not worked since people keep shooting him, fires off a spell against the wall behind Arval. A huge explosion of glittery sparkles are a good indication of what spell he cast.

Lena: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (5) + 8 = 13
Whiskeyjack: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (6) + 12 = 18
Arval: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 = 24

Arval and Whiskeyjack manage to close their eyes in time, but Lena is caught by the spell, and her vision goes dark. Everyone is outlined in glittering dust. Auren then flies upwards until he collides with the base of the platform at the top of the tower, blocking off line of sight to him.

Lena is blinded, but can attempt a DC 16 will save to end the blindness at the end of each turn. Auren is now out of line of sight of anyone outside of the tower, unless through the east doorway. Everyone but Whiskeyjack is up.

Wren identifies the hands as 'giant crawling hands', which do what it says on the tin and are fantastic at hunting down and strangling quarry over long distances - less of an issue in this fight. She also recognizes that they explode nastily when struck. They do just that as ARval and Whiskeyjack attack. Whiskeyjack avoids the explosions of foul-smelling pus. However, Arval connect sonce, and is sprayed with goo. He immediately is unable to continue as he is overcome with nausea.

Wren then fires off a magic missile, finishing off one of the hands. The other teeters on barely-functioning fingers.

Lena repeatedly rubs her eyes, and manages to regain vision just to see Kawrock blow up the last giant crawling hand. Vrood's minions appear to be dead, but the necromancer himself is very much still in the fight.

However, he remains out of sight, tucked up below the ledge on the tower.

spells that have a to hit roll are considered weapons for that purpose. The ability rule states +1 competance bonus to weapon hit and damage rolls. The ability doesn't distinguish.

Lena rushes into the tower, and spotting Vrood, she fires another acid arrow up, which thumps into the necromancer. He howls in rage!

Miscommunication. His position is known to the party. He's inside the tower, underneath the ledge the archers were using. Feel free to re-do actions with this information.

The group pile into the base of the tower while Kawrock flies directly into Auren's side, knocking the necromancer into the centre of the tower. He spins wildly as he tries to orient himself. He snarls wildly and tries to cast a spell downwards at the general vicinity of the floor of the tower, but the burning acid damage causes him to foul the cast!

However, he manages to just barely shrug off Eldon's spell. Snarling with rage, he blasts a wave of dark energy down at the tiny halfling, who at least has managed to make himself annoying enough to be a target.

Vrood has cast eyebite.

Waves of power wash over the Eldon, overcoming his body with a need to flee at all costs. As he does so, there's a slight shimmering around him.
