Eldon Appleton |

Eldon casts a haste spell that speeds up everyone in the party. His mouth now moves with double the speed it usually does, allowing Eldon to spread his incredibly useful advice concerning combat even faster!
"Arval, you have to get up! Why are you down? Get back up, Arval! Don't stay down! Arval, you should really get up! Don't you see you should not be prone? It really is the best plan, Arval! I assure you it is, because I'm very experienced in standing matters!"
"Also, try to not provoke while standing up! Do it like this, Arval!" Eldon assumes some kind of horrible defensive posture while pretending to stand up from prone, which looks weird due to the fact he's actually standing.
Inspire Courage +2 continues!
Lena's just in range of my haste spell, but our ally wolves don't appear to be.

Arval Beyondane |

Arval stands up, provoking from the doggies, and takes a 5 foot step closer to Whiskey. He starts pummeling the wolf Whiskey is also attacking, trying to get the number of enemies down. Arval growls as his wounds hurt. On his second attack he really gets mad and starts shouting at the (red, if dead the brown) wolf.
"You will not get me down!"
If the wolf dies he will redirect the attack back to the wolf he was attack earlier, the brown one.

There's a moment of silence as you look over the devastation of the battlefield. Corpses are everywhere. The Prince's Wolves rush over, quickly checking Adimarus' body.
"He doesn't have the heart." They look on to the tower in the distance before looking back to all of you.
"We will deal with the remaining demon wolves that weren't in the fight. If you find the heart, return it to us, but it is better lost than in the hands of the Jezeldans."
With that, the Prince's Wolves make to leave.

Arval Beyondane |

Arval sits on the ground and wipes his sword clean on the body of Adimarus.
"We got out of that inn just in time... Good call."
He says as he sheaths his sword. After taking a breath of two he walks over to Gwen, who is inspecting the pile of loot.

To arval well you don't act as if you are hurt
Lena starts moving after eldon
eldon, do you think it wise to lead the charge? Not that you don't look impressive doing so.

GM SpiderBeard |

Haste is over, you've only got a minute and you had to loot the battlefield.
Intent on finally putting a stop to Auren Vrood and the madness he's caused in the Shudderwood, you strike eastwards. Distantly, you hear the howls of the Prince's Wolves as they hunt down the remnants of their mortal enemies. You head into the town square, which once held a large number of skeletons and their curates.
In the shadow of a crumbing tower lies a barren swath of muddy red earth that likely once served as the town square. A large trench has been excavated in the center of the square, and a confusing jumble of half-unearthed bones jut from its churned earth.
From here, you have two places to approach.
Just northeast of the town square, a squat stone building stands adjacent to a ruined tower, its windows shuttered and its doors hanging open. Dimly lit by torches, the building’s interior has been gutted. All that remains within are several stacks of wooden crates and a large stone vase.
And finally there is the tower.
Overlooking the town square stand the battered remnants of what must have once been an impressive tower. Now only the tower’s ground floor and half of its second floor still stand, and catapult balls lie scattered about the piles of broken stone and masonry at the tower’s base. Of the top of the tower, only a jagged crest of stone remains; the tower’s roof has been ripped off, and much of the rear portion lies buried in rubble.
Tower or armory?

Arval Beyondane |

Arval grabs the amulet and puts it around his neck. He quickly follows the party.
"Well, not anymore... Guess I'm getting sort of used to getting beaten up..."
The burly warrior says as he looks at all the dents in his armor. He looks inside the armory and sees a single vase stand in the middle of several crates.
"That looks very promising."
He tries to enter the building very carefully, his clanking armor making that very impossible, and watches out for traps, heading strait for the vase.

Whiskeyjack Dunaldthal |

Whiskeyjack followed Arval to the armory, clanking along beside him. The look on Lena's face as they proceeded make him chuckle behind his beard. He spoke to Arval as they moved.
"Th' lass thinks we be makin' too much noise. Wha' she dinnae know is tha' i' be nothin' more'n a bugle call, sendin' fear ahead o' us t' our enemies."
He kept an eye out as they moved, knowing that at least some of the cultists had escaped the last battle.

Arval makes for the armory and steps in through the open doors. As he looks around, he immediately - and somewhat astonishingly sees several shadowy figures with red eyes doing a very good job of hiding around the edges. He has enough time to call out a warning, and the creatures attack!
The flesh of this walking corpse is rotting and putrid, its body skeletal in places and its eye sockets glowing with red light.
These creatures are wights, intelligent undead famous for their ability to drain the souls of the living to propagate their kind. The one standing near the front appears to be a particularly powerful wight.

Wren manages to identify not only wights, but the big'un as a dread wight, which is simply a more powerful wight that has mental command over the others, and a resistance to channeling. They have no unusual defenses for an undead, those slain by wights will rise again as wights, and they can be destroyed by 'raise dead' or similar spells.

Nah. They are immune to fear and mind influencing stuff unless you have some really rare special ability that specifically allows it. Most undead (much like Eldon) aren't sentient enough to recognize fear when they feel it.

Thank you, Wren, for bringing up how incredibly brave I am in the face of any kind of mortal danger others wouldn't be able to handle. I often do mention my bravery to other people, but it's nice to see someone else has also taken to spreading my epicness across Golarion. To show my gratitude I will mention how you were present as my assistant while I defeated the Demon Wolves and Whispering Way, once I get to share this epic tale with a broader audience.
