Hastur the Ineffable |

As the golem slips and slides on the greasy floor, 'Aldous' takes the opportunity to deliver the beast a vicious slash.
Claw, AoO: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (14) + 10 = 24, for 1d6 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 11 (Magical, S/B damage) + 1d6 ⇒ 4 Fire.
He then opens-up with his regular 'death of a thousand fiery paper cuts'!
;-)

Wren the FeatherMage |

Wren continues to coo as the battle continues in favor of the good birds.
Wren will come behind Kevin, seeking to assist for his next attack.
Wren will touch Kevin with Diviner's Fortune. (Diviner's Fortune: +2 (9/day) (Sp) Creature touched gains +2 to attack rolls, skill checks, ability checks, and saving throws for 1r. 1/9 used today.)

Wren the FeatherMage |

Wren coos excitedly as the beast falls.
"Terrible thing that one...not at all like my good friend, Stitches. I wonder if he's been by here?"
Wren looks around again, examining the homunculii for things of interest.
Cast Detect Magic.

Galadan Teresthin |

Galadan finally exhales a breath he had been holding since the battle started, relieved that the conflict ended with few injuries.
He looks around the new room they are in, searching for traps or anything of value.

Wren the FeatherMage |

Wren looks around, and finding little, moves to the door in the outside wall.
"Probably a closet, dearies, let me just check," Wren says as she opens the door.

Galadan Teresthin |

"Well, if this is the home of Stitches' fa-, err, creator. He has probably dabbled in other construct work as well. I'm sure we're getting closer to the core of his exploratory work. Hence the need for increased security."

Beasts of Dark Reputation
This room is filled with weird-looking preserved creatures. Two elaborately carved and painted sarcophagi stand against the east and west walls. A pile of chains lies in the center of the floor.
A door in the north west leads to the outside. Hastur assumes to the path he has spotted earlier winding up its way to the connected towers on top of the gorge.
Air is coming in through an open trap door. Looking at the interior you reckon that the Golem must have come from that way as it seems unlikely it was open for days with no signs to tell.
You got disrupted in the last room when you spotted some vials beneath a shelf. Just a reminder that you haven't picked them up.
With the golem down you seem to have time to fully enter and explore the room.

Wren the FeatherMage |

Wren examines the creatures, slowly and carefully, trying to recall what she can of them.

"What do we have here, dearies? Anything like my good friend, Stitches?"

Wren takes a sniff at the vials that Galadan produces
"Poison - and a quite potent one. I will tell you more about it when I'm finished here. Most excellent story. Much more interesting as this here. See - it seems the homunculus are formed from the blood and flesh of the golem. Why not just adding eyes I'm not sure. And he surely was a lot weaker as Stiches. He is lacking the owlbear and Stiches seem to be made if superior stock. You have to take only the best from several - like a lean cut here and there."
Will get details for the poison - anything that someone else is doing?

Galadan Teresthin |

Sorry Thod, have been out of it lately due to work and a rapidly developing head cold (hopefully not head flu). I'm also waiting for others to post, since Galadan and Wren have monopolized the conversation lately.

Wren the FeatherMage |

Sorry Thod. I think I was waiting on the door I opened above, unless this vial room is that. Wren is happy to move along. Since Kevin and Mr. Hastur are often loathe to push directions and move the party along, may Wren assuming that they are in front?

The group starts to investigate the room. Nothing of danger to be seen.
Kevin walks along the room. Only furnishings and the two coffins to be seen.
This time I checked that the urls work. My wife had 'securely' stored the cable to upload from the camera. Somehow lost the will to post after searching for an hour without finding them and only been told a day later.

Galadan Teresthin |

Almost unperturbed by the sudden appearance of the creature from the boxes. "The lord of the manor does indeed keep interesting pets." Galadan moves to flank the mimic and attacks with his heavy mace.
Attack (flanking)
1d20 + 7 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 7 + 2 = 19
1d8 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10+ 1d6 ⇒ 4if flanking

Wren the FeatherMage |

Wren chitters on until the mimic reveals itsself.
"Oh dearie, what is that?"
1d20 + 10 ⇒ (13) + 10 = 23 Knowledge: Dungeon
Wren's action is to chitter about the creature and to back away.

Mimic attack against Kevin: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (14) + 10 = 24 Damage 1d8 + 6 ⇒ (7) + 6 = 13
The mimic lashes out at Kevin. It's body acts like a thick coat of glue and Kevin seems unable to get off the Mimic (the sticky slime of the creature acts as glue you and count as grappled)
Reflex save for Galadan's mace - 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (9) + 5 = 14
Galadan's mace smashes into the mimic. You hit is rewarded by the sound of breaking tissue - but alas - the mace seems stuck to the mimic.
Sorry for my absence here. Haven't been on this board for a week+. Will try to read and post over the next days again.

Wren the FeatherMage |

1d20+10 Knowledge: Dungeon = 23
Thod: welcome back. Wren awaits her chitters on her knowledge check.
Round 2
Wren steps behind Mr. Hastur.
"Ooh! You should hit the hard, dearie."
(Diviner's Fortune: +2 (9/day) (Sp) Creature touched gains +2 to attack rolls, skill checks, ability checks, and saving throws for 1r. 2/9 used today.)

Wren babbles away
"Uh, oh - poor Kevin. He is stuck now. I've never seen a mimic like that, well - off course I haven't - as they always look different but I think you understand what I mean when I say that.
But yes - people know they can mimic everything - that is why people name them Mimic - it's actually a give away in the name. But you could also name them Sticky-me as they are coated in a nasty slime. Once it catches you there is nothing you can do - well - off course you can kill it - but this needs help as once you are stuck you are not likely to fight it successfully any more.
I mean I heard rumours that a strong alcohol like brandy can break the glue - but I guess Kevin rather stays stuck instead of using his valuable drink to get off.
So I guess we will have to kill it - and best do so fast. Hastur - try not to get stuck. Well - you have two claws - rip it fast. And Galadan - good idea about the crossbow. I guess we stay here and kill it in case Hastur isn't successful."

Round 1:
Galadan 19 - taken out his crossbow
Wren 11 - cast diviner fortune on Hastur
Andrea 11 - still to act
Mimic 10 - coming now
Kevin 9 - still to act
Hastur 5 - still to act
Kevin - you can swing you sword until that is stuck as well - see also Hastur below
Hastur - you need a Reflex DC17 to ensure you are not stuck with a claw. Once you are stuck with one you lose 1 attack, once you are stuck with both you need to get free. It is a strength check (standard action) to get free with one claw (or weapon for anyone else)
