Aldaris starts inspecting everything but finds it devoid of any clue or treasure. Not even where Osprey is or has been since last you saw him.*
Moving in and locking the door, it seems the only thing you have accomplished is locking yourself in the room.
*Seriously, what happened to him? Haven't heard from him in a while. Always thought it was a cool character, if underutilized.

Dev pokes tentatively at the mirror, and mutters, "Osprey, a little more help would have been... helpful."

![]() |

The mirror does not react. Indeed, detecting magic shows that it is completely mundane. Perhaps you have the wrong room?

Dev returns to the area outside and begins opening the doors in succession, scanning each quickly.

![]() |

All of the rooms are similarly furnished. However, none of the other doors contain keys in the lock on the inside like room 8 does.

![]() |

These rooms are on the second floor.
You can't find room 8A anywhere.

![]() |

Dev looks for the reflection of the door in the mirror in room 8, and tries to put the key the lock.

![]() |

Dev sees nothing spectacular about the mirror and puts the key in the lock. It fits and turns freely. Clearly it works in this lock.

Ozak moves into the room alone and locks the door. What does the rest of the party do?

![]() |

Congratulations, you have found the Lost Room!
...Well, most of you have. Ozak is still in Room 8.

![]() |

"Yes, can you turn the lock and see if we can return the room to it's other.. version of itself? Hrmm, I guess we can't do that, since Ozak has the key? Damn..."

![]() |

Oh yes, very magical. Indeed, it almost seems that if you reached out to touch the surface, you'd touch nothing at all, your hand passing straight through. Indeed, any one of you can pass through.
Except Ozak.

![]() |

GM, before we burn a day or more trying to figure this out, can you tell us if there is actually a way for Ozak to rejoin the group? Perhaps if he steps out, locks the door behind him, and then tries to re-enter?

![]() |

There is a way for Ozak to rejoin the group. Multiple, actually. Just depends on how he wishes to go about it.

![]() |

The door out seems barred by a heavy object. You can try to either force it open or find a more creative way out of the room.

![]() |

Ozak opens the door, seeing no-one he closes and locks the door again. "Trick door. I should have known." He says to himself in Tien. He then looks for another way out of the room.
If there is a window he will crawl out of it and then go around to rejoin everyone.

Overseer Announcement
**********************
The floating tower begins to shift, tilting slightly to one side. A shower of debris rains down on the lawn and buildings below.

![]() |

There is a window, Ozak. It's on the second story so a quick climb check is required.
In the tower, as the ground pitches you hear a loud scrape against the door as it gets pulled off its hinges. Seems whatever was blocking it is that same rubble spilling out to the ground. However, moving to the west screen left will be difficult terrain without an acrobatics check.

"I believe it is time for action. Since we have no way to contact our fellow Pathfinder, we must assume he'll find his way to us. I have faith in his abilities and resourcefulness."
Dev offers a quick prayer to Sarenrae and steps through the mirror...

With a thought that pretty much goes by the ways of Sod this..., Ozak parkour leaps out the window and tucks into a roll on the ground. Within moments, he is back with the rest of the group, which have the door to the room he was previously in open. Except... it's not that room. He sees party members walking through the mirror.
As everyone peeks through the newly opened door, you see what is likely a siege floor: a place of defense should Skyreach come under a more mundane attack. It is clear except where the walls are crumbled away. The north and west windows feature gargoyles just below them. Both gargoyles have a reservoir built into their backs so oil or other chemicals can be poured and sprayed down on would-be attackers. Numerous arrow slits are built into the walls.
Three doors are your options here.

![]() |

They're all strong wooden doors. No labels identify them. But! Opening each, you find them to be:
1: A stairway to the next level up.
2: An obvious guard station. Old cots and moth-eaten blankets smothered in a thick layer of dust confirm that no one has been posted atop this tower in years. The cots are nevertheless are sturdy and the door is functional.
3: This room contains ancient siege supplies stored here when Skyreach was considered a fortress in the traditional sense. Barrels of oil and a decrepit wheelbarrow are here, as well as several crates of serviceable arrows. Pretty much, any mundane weapon or ammunition from the CRB is available here.

Owyn grabs a handful of crossbow bolts from the storage room. "Ah, I've been meaning to replace those. Now quickly, we should clear this guardroom and then make for the staircase!"

Celie, not being too stealthy, tries not to whistle while walking along.
stealth: 1d20 ⇒ 12
She does however start to talk to Fox.
Celie: "So, what did you think about that bad dragon?"
Fox: "He looked like a big lizard, so I I didn't like him to begin with."
Celie: "True, but he was a magical lizard. glad I got his claw after we killed him."
Fox: "Just where are you going to put it? It's not going to fit in your necklace."
Celie looked down at her necklace, now getting a little heavy. "guess we will have to start a second collection...."
Fox: "I am good with my doll." she says as she bites down in it.
A small squeak comes from the evil looking doll that Fox is holding.
