We've got a long way to go, and a short time to get there.
I will be running PFS First Steps (all three scenarios) as PbP for level 1 Pathfinder Society Characters; they will be run in succession, and I am hoping for people who would like to experience all three.
I am especially looking for people that can check in on the thread at least a couple of times a day, and post at least 1/day. Given that this ‘scenario arc’ will be retired in August, I am looking for a high tempo party that can keep the pace up to ensure we arrive there in a timely fashion, and that will require a reasonable level of activity and decisiveness.
I’ve been at PbP’s a long while now and have almost 15,000 posts on the boards, this is my first time in the GM chair via this medium, and my intent is to ‘feel it out’ for the first three, and if it is an agreeable and mutually rewarding experience I am open to the idea of continuing on.
Housekeeping
* There are four (4) positions open, as there are two players coming across from other PbP’s
* Your character must be 1st level, registered for PFS play, and on the normal XP track.
* You may choose to build a PC utilizing the resources found in the Guide to Pathfinder Society Organized Play, and the additional resources reference material, or you are also welcome to use an official pre-generated character.
* This will be run as a legal Pathfinder Society game, so characters will earn PFS Chronicles at the completion of each scenario.
* Expectations of 1 post/day.
* I understand that 'things happen', so ask that players let me know in advance where possible with a simple post ('Work this weekend, will be busy' etc)
* I will resolve posts by 10pm each day (Sydney time! UTC+10:00)
Check your relative times here, if you haven’t posted, your actions will be resolved in a ‘logical and sensible manner’ (remember we are against the clock here).
What do you Need to Post Now for an Application
A complete application includes the following:
* Be decisive, post the character you want to play, not a request of 'what would people like'.
* Full stat-block and at least some basic character info (I don’t expect a whole Game of Thrones, just who/what/where/when/why as a minimum, ‘family slain by orcs’ optional)
* Extended details on their Character Settings in their Class/Level field on the forums here.
Details: Class Level | AC XX T XX FF XX | HP XX/XX | F +X R +X W +X | Init +X
You may also expand on this should you wish to include other personal data.
* Applications will close 26 April at 9am (Sydney time)
* First post will go ‘live’ no later than 10pm that day - people will have 24 hours to check in and respond, or forfeit their place (no, ‘dot’ doesn’t count)

Hoi-Hoi lads!
Was in the running for a place at Wakedown's virtual PFS table, but alas both work and lack of inspiration conspired against me really getting something together.
Am clearer of both work and mind now - Shifty would you consider a male White Haired Witch who can use his beard rather than hair as a weapon?
Random one I know... regardless I'm interested :)

I'm interested in this, but I'm not familiar with PFS. What is involved in registering for PFS play exactly?
If you click on the Pathfinder Society logo at the top left corner of the page, that's a good place to start. If you're interested, check out the Guide to Organized Play (which is free to download), and that will give you more details on how to build a character. The main points are:
-20 point buy
-No crafting
-For anything outside of the Core Rulebook, check the Additional Resources page to see if it's legal.

Sign me up! Stats on this player page.
All members of the Silver Dragon Chapter are Lawful Neutral and human. They do employ all classes - healers, chaplains, tech-adepts (alchemists), scout-snipers, psychers (their name for wizards/sorcerors), and others.

Good to see a healthy level of interest!
Just compiling where we are at.
Held places:
Stiehl9
BBB
Expressions of interest so far:
Mark Sweetman – TBA
Black Dow - TBA
Jahni “Johnny” Thundefist – Sorc.
Tikrit – Tengu magus
TBP – Tengu Cleric
Aegon – Paladin
Grimaldus – Fighter
Yhen – Witch
Raoul – Rogue
Mandrak – Monk
@RDN/Johnny:
Notionally starting from scratch lets you run all three etc, although I will leave that to you do determine which way your preferences lie.
@Nebten
I do agree with you and your very sound logic, however I am confident that if people stick to the timetable we can certainly make the deadline. My pet dislike in PbP is tardiness and parties dithering about for a week waiting to make a decision on whether to open a door. I am hoping that the motivation of use it or lose it, along with my gentle nudgings, set the right conditions for a party to be organised and running at full speed :)

Ah, the other hinted-at PFS game. :)
Checking/posting multiple times a day is not only possible, but preferred.
I'd be interested in playing - I have yet to get a PFS character past level 1 but have a couple rolled up and ready for when the opportunity presented itself. I'll see about getting some details online shortly.

Let's go with Tyus the Pious, separatist cleric of Besmara/Gozreh as the PFS character I'd be most interested in taking out for a drive next.
No chronicles yet. Grand Lodge faction.

"To resolve your need
The Lodge from across the sea
Sends me in service"
WIP for my Terra Cotta monk.
Fairly basic backstory - came across with the Lantern Lodge in service to a mid level bureaucrat and has now fulfilled his training and moves into the world.
Fairly intriguing deity worship - pays homage to a melange of both the Sun goddess Shizuru and moon god Tsukiyo.
Moderately insane twinge - he will speak only in Japanese poetic meter... just because I like being a sadist. That will mean either Haiku for short statements... or for longer speeches they will conform to Chōka or Tanka.
Details will be complete before I collapse into unconsciousness tonight.

Here's a gnomish bard. My first PFS character.
I don't have a great deal of backstory for him yet, but the basics are:

Coming down to the deadline! Here's my submission.
This will be my first ever PFS character, but I'm a long time role-player with a flair for the dramatic. I also expect to have a free summer and do solemnly swear to be addicted to this campaign and post often, at LEAST daily!
I picked the Investigator archetype, but if I am chosen and the only rogue in the party, I can just run a vanilla Rogue. I also plan to take a few dips of Fighter or Ranger on Kishara.
Still working on Feats/Traits/Equip as of this post, but trying to work fast and get it up. Off I go! {/EXCITED!}

![]() |

Ok, I think I'm set up now... A few questions, though.
Were we supposed to use Traits? If not, my initiative is 2 less.
Any rules on starting gold? I wasn't sure so I just rolled it. =/
Preferred character sheet layout?
Oh well, my questions are probably only relevant now if I get picked. *crosses fingers*

![]() |

Well, at least I got my traits right. Thanks for the help, guys!
Oy, looking at all of your profiles... I guess I'm not done. I drew her up on paper, but did not put it all in the profile. Is there an easier way to do that than just hand-typing?
I don't have Hero Lab, but for future reference is there some free application somewhere that generates that text so you can just C&P it?
