As you start to turn the corner, you see a campfire burning in the far NW corner of the room, surrounded by what appears to be a very sparse camp. As Godwin moves into the room, he spots a Dwarf off to his left, looking like he's trying to be stealthy.

**************Round 1 Recap**************
Selindra and Drakra round the corner catching sight of a dwarf trying (poorly) to hide in the shadows. Drakra lays down a tirade of insults and taunts to the dwarf which seem to enrage it, all the while Drakra stayed safely away from his victim. Selindra brings her blade to bear on the dwarf, only to notice that he seems blurry, and when the blade looks like it will make contact, glances off some sort of shielding.

In the meantime, Flynn came running around the corner, just in time to catch a spray of color from the dwarven wizard, that covered both he and Selindra. Selindra's eyes go wide at the display and it proves to be overwhelming and she drops to the ground, while Flynn manages to shake off the effect of the spell.

Godwin strides towards the dwarf, standing protectively by Selindra, but his falchion flies wide of the mark, missing the dwarf. Ali makes sure that the three companions that are with the group are out of harms way, and then quickly moves into the other cave.

Continuing his tirade of insults at the dirty under earth dweller, Drakra cocks his crossbow, waving it about wildly as he does so. Finally managing to get the bolt to drop into its slot, he aims it in the general direction of the combat and fires, not thinking until afterwards that it might well hit one of his friends.

Continuing to struggle with the strange, and apparently permanently ineffective, device called a crossbow, Drakra manages to somehow avoid stabbing himself, as another bolt falls, at a rather cockeyed angle, into the crossbow.

With the bolt not quite properly loaded, when the trigger is pulled, the bolt goes spinning up into the air, whirling about harmlessly before somehow landing directly on top of the last misfired bolt about 20' from where Drakra is standing.

What's up with the 'if' statements from the GM? I think it's best if you just choose. Just give us players a set time (24 hours?) and bot us if we don't respond. If we don't respond 'often enough' without a 'good reason' then just kick us out. Otherwise the game just drags on. Just a friendly suggestion.

With that, Drakra steps forward as far as necessary and casts Silent Image creating the appearance of a giant boulder in front of the exit on the far side of the chamber.

With the Effortless Trickery feat, Drakra can maintain this as a Swift action. Thus, he will glance at the boulder/illusion every few seconds, but otherwise act normally pretending to search the chamber for the iterate dwarf so that the dwarf believes the boulder is real.

Silent Image - DC14 Will to disbelieve, but only if interacted with

Colour Spray is a hell of a thing. The only thing we can do with Milorn seems to be Perception checks to try and find him and then swing at that spot?


Pretty much Godwin, he's vanished and who knows what after that. Given his state though, it's probably a safe bet that he's fleeing.

[b]Could someone check on Selindra. Is she alright? The evil one's magics can't last forever. If we are vigilant we will be able to find him and deal with him!

If everyone makes a perception roll and someone hears something then I think all of us can converge and attack that square. Hopefully our attacks will land


The group searches mostly in vain for Milorn, but is fairly certain that the Dwarven Caster is no longer in the area. The remains of his camp fill the cavern to the north east, and also see a tunnel in that direction that is partially hidden behind some rocks and shadows. The tunnel appears to go up, sharply.

I have some minor skill in tracking Godwin responds to Drakra and searches out from the spot where the dwarf disappeared.

Aid will get it up over 15, and the dwarf was bleeding so maybe that'll make the DC to track pretty low. Now that I think about it Inquisitors rock at tracking. Ali?


Godwin tracks the dwarf as best he can, but at some point the footprints stop, as though the dwarf no longer touched the ground. Following the blood trail a short way into the tunnel leading away from the cavern, he finds a discarded potion bottle, after which he finds no more blood to follow.

If there isn't then Godwin will take 20 to search the cavern and then start following the tunnel up. If there is Godwin will want to explore that before following the tunnel.

Godwin searches thoroughly, but it seems like only the one tunnel in the northwest leads up and out. The search of the dwarf's camp finds a few items of interest. A ratty bedroll, a small pack of dried meat, preserved fruit and moldy cheese, a chipped 6 inch statuette of a humanoid throwing a spear, and a book, which quickly becomes apparent was the Dwarf's spellbook.
