The previous module was set before the Late Unpleasantness, so it wouldn't work with the timeline. I'll start at the beginning of the Festival, giving you some time to play around and meet people before things kick into gear.

So, the big question here I think is this - Who plays Whistleball?

I would very much enjoy learning to play a game.

Sadly the whistleball supplement seems to have been pushed back in the schedule somehow ;p All we have is this.

On most days, Sandpoint’s marketplace is empty save for the odd group of children who enjoy using the wide-open area to play whistleball or other games.

We are a group of children. I figured there's a bat and ball, and basically addressing it as a sort of baseball(?) but I'm more than happy to accept anything else people want to shove in :)

Also helps explain where a kid is going to get tactics from - everything is going to be "like in whistleball".

I sort of assumed it was more like "Calvinball", where the only rule is that it can't be played the same way twice.

Kind of reminds me of a Mutants & Masterminds game I was in where we were playing high schoolers and one of our characters was really good at grappling people.

So when he'd grab someone I'd yell "Playground rules!" And we'd all start hitting the grabbed baddie.

A rigid, empty ball with a few holes would whistle as thrown hard, as well as have some sort of erratic trajectory. I'm envisioning a mix of baseball and dodgeball.

That was waaay more of a trial than it needed to be. I hit submit early and when I went back to edit it, the site ate my post and I had to rewrite it.

Also about arrows: you are getting the nonproficiency penalty, but there's no problem with damage, you just had to hit. It was a pretty good score, though.

According to schedule, you'll have lunch soon, then there is the melee for those who want to participate, then as evening falls, there will be the ceremony and the Swallowtail Festival will end peacefully in a display of fireworks.

As for the brawl: I'll set it up if you want, but I'm thinking that having a few of you fight while the others stand and watch could get boring pretty quick. So perhaps I'll cut it out, by having things happen before it starts.
