Thinking about it, I think I can see Vorin looking up to Avienus, in a kind of big brother way. (Whether Avienus likes it or not. ;-) Vorin is smarter, but Avienus is bigger and stronger, but seemingly the opposite of a bully.)

If that works for you, that could tie the two pairs of kids introduced in this thread so far together, if we all get in the same game. :-)

Currently thinking a Conscript with pragmatism, tactics, and ruthless stabbingness.

GM Sappy wrote:

@KyleS: Yes, I was thinking of making a second table. I wanted it to be a surprise...

The original game swamped because of an error of judgement in my part: I tried to adapt a module to Sandpoint, and failed to make it fun and interesting. As we move to RotRL proper, that should not happen.

I think you're being too hard on yourself. We had a run of bad luck that cost us momentum, and then hit Christmas. I grant the module turned out to be harder than expected though/

If you do do a second table, might be good if we have the option to have them merge if we lose players later on? We could maybe politely ignore that we seem to be having the same adventures before that point...

Also, I think you missed putting Plays Whistelball as a requirement? ;P Got to get that team somehow!

James Vestrana wrote:

That's a really good idea. It seems like it would give a really good way to keep things moving without too much issue, at least until one of the games gets drastically farther ahead than the other.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

So I'm planning on making an Ifrit Sorcerer who's personality is kind of a cross between Rainbowdash and Peter Pan.

Easily excited, thinks that they can do anything, gets bored easily, loud and upfront, talks a lot. Party trick of picking things out of fires (fire resistance 5)

- How would you describe yourself in a single sentence?
"Awesome! No, wait…! Definitely awesome."

- How did you end up in Sandpoint? Born here, moved here...?
"We moved here right before my little sister was born. For work or something. And to be closer to the water. We go to the beach a lot. It’s super boring, things don’t catch fire very well at the beach. But Venice needs to learn to swim, so that’s ok."

- Who do you live with? Family, foster parents, siblings...?
"Mum, Dad, Venice, and soon another one! Mum says it’s the last one though. But that’s what she said about Venice. I don’t think Mum and Dad know what they are doing sometimes which is why I help out a bunch."

- What do you want to do when you grow up?
Uhhh. Travel! No! No! Travel and fight monsters! I wanna slay a dragon! Or a lich! Or a dragon lich! Dad says I should be a blacksmith, which I will definitely think about thinking about. You do spend all day melting stuff… Which is cool. But not as cool as fighting a Lich Dragon!

- Who is your best friend? (hint hint, you may do joint backgrounds...)
Leaving open

- What is your favorite scary tale?
"Pff, I don’t get scared but Venice’s favourite scary story is Sleeping Beauty, cause it has a dragon. Really don’t like the ones about the haunted island."

- Who is the most awesome person ever, and why is she Shalelu Andosana?
Miss Shalelu is the bravest, strongest, most mysterious and beautiful person in all of Varsia. Maybe even the world! She does what she wants, flying through the trees like woosh except you can’t hear her.

She can shoot the wings off a fly from 500ft! And her bow has secret magic powers. I heard she can feel when someone is looking at her from across the room. She doesn’t care what people think or say about her, even though it’s all good stuff! And she lives in the forest! How cool is that?! I’m not allowed in the forest, ever. Cause I might set it on fire by accident."

My character seems to be very similar to the ifrit sorcerer you were planning. But if it doesn't seem too redundant to you, my character would definitely want to be friends with a "real live ifrit."

** spoiler omitted **...

I think we would make awesome BFFs. Her needs someone who gets his love of fire, though your character looks like she's a little bit more haphazard than mine. He doesn't accidentally burn things very often, especially since his little sister came along.

Was in the previous recruitment..

Oh, yeah, of course. And Andi would be in Vorin's. Just trying to think of ways to tie everybody together. :-) Depending, of course, on who gets into which game.

Oh certainly. But I think that's a good way to tie things together for sure.

GM's Questions?

I was adopted into a farming household next to Sandpoint as a baby

Q3: Who do you live with? Family, foster parents, siblings...?
I current live with my folks and siblings.

Q4: What do you want to do when you grow up?
I'd still like to continue farming, though I do want a bit of adventure to give me a new experience, if the opportunity ever came, and maybe later settledown and start a family.

Q5: Who is your best friend? (hint hint, you may do joint backgrounds...)
James Vestrana, as the games of Whistleball with him can be fair and challenging.

Q6: What is your favorite scary tale?
Stories of the Sandpoint Devil

Q7: Who is the most awesome person ever, and why is she Shalelu Andosana?
Shalelu Andosana is a local legend and who in town and nearby areas has not heard of her exploits.

[@Lord Foul II: Forgot about damage: spells which deal X damage/level deal 1 damage.

@Taliesan: Longer-lived races mature at the same pace as humans, give or take a couple of years. Then, if you want your age to be higher, be my guest, but the level of maturity should be the same for all of you. Indipendency should be earned during the questline.

@James, Vorin: I hope it doesn't come to this, but in case of significant losses I'd be cool with it. Already did it once. As for the whistleball team, it's your job have to persuade people!

@TheoreticallyYours, Empheria: Thank you for your submissions! I'll be going over crunch details in a day or two.

@Aurora: Welcome back!

If I missed any questions, let me know.

If TheoreticallyYours wants to do a joint background, I might try to rebuild as a Sphere Sorcerer or Incanter from the Spheres of Power wiki. It would make the two characters less redundant, and also deal with the annoyance that someone who loves using fire can only cast burning hands three times a day. I'll see if I can figure out the rules and rebuild it by January 20, since that's the hard deadline.

@Empheria: Alright! PM me if you want some advice or clarifications, the system can seem daunting at the beginning.

I'll update with a background tomorrow sometime.

As we aren't level 1 does this mean we don't get anything that says 'at level 1' I our classes?

Eg my sorcerer doesn't have the bonus feat or bloodline power?

Are drawbacks for an extra trait on the table?

i'll drop my hat in the ring, Human Oracle, I Unlike many of my friends enjoy the concept of child adventurers. Luckily i have a character in mind already.

Information:

Name: Ashling Frost-Wing

How would you describe yourself in a single sentence?

I do not know, my elder brother always says i am a silent guardian always watching, rarely speaking.

- How did you end up in Sandpoint? Born here, moved here...?

Tristan and i moved here some time ago, after our mother and father passed. He desired a peaceful, distant place to continue his work.

- Who do you live with? Family, foster parents, siblings...?

I live with my older brother, our parent where killed when I was four.

- What do you want to do when you grow up?

I wish to be a dancer, or a hunter, i enjoy both.

- Who is your best friend? (hint hint, you may do joint backgrounds...)

I...am unsure, this requires thought...But probably Tristan, we take care of each other.

- What is your favorite scary tale?

Back in our homeland, We had the tale of the Queen of Witches...

- Who is the most awesome person ever, and why is she Shalelu Andosana?

I have heard of this Shalelu, stories mean little. i will be impressed when i see her in action for myself

Ok, so, I'm kidna musing about playing a charecter slowly turning into a lycanthrope via the shifter class.

One large problem-

A weretouched shifter has basically no reason to stay in the class past level about 6, due to chimeric form and greater chimeric form not getting replaced by anything.

So, the question I have is-

Would it be out of line to possibly request a houseruled replacement, or should I just multiclass out later?

Backstory in the alias now, but here it is:

Backstory:

Avienus Corvina is one the younger members of the Corvina family, tied only by his twin sister Avida. Born in Sandpoint, his parents Ramio and Didia, as his older brother Satus originally hail from Taldor. Ramio specialized in trading, mostly general goods while having a particular interest in supplies for tailoring items. Didia was the reason for this as she aided in creating clothes in trade deals with the clients Ramio had. Having a lineage of a few generations in Riddenport, they did fairly well in the area, but weren't the most successful. When Satus was a young child, both Ramio and Didia decided to mark a new chapter in their life by setting off to Varisa in order to make new clients, and have more chance at being more successful in their venture by expanding their name. A few years after arriving in Sandpoint, Avienus arrived.

Growing up in Sandpoint, Avienus has had an interesting upbringing. Still learning to practice Taldan tradition, he's also grown to his surroundings of Varisa, trying to learn it's traditions as well. While being a child of two cultures however hasn't been the best of experiences though. Often intimidated by his brother who has resented the move to Sandpoint, he was also singled out by some of the local children for not being one of them. Because of this, he's developed a protective nature, wanting to do what he can to protect those weaker than him. Rather than trying to follow his father's footsteps like his twin sister, he has started to set his goals on becoming part of the local guard and militia with the hopes of being able to better protect people.

If selected, this will be modified to better reflect those he has grown up with as well.

Actually, nevermind, i think i have a better plan.

question, if companions are getting the young template, do characters as well? Not sure if that's been asked or not, but i want to be sure while im building.

@TheoreticallyYours: No, you get all of your class features. Changes only affect BAB, proficiencies, skills, spells, spheres and companions.

@Master Han Del of the Web: I don't really like drawbacks, as in my experience they are usually forgotten soon. But I'll handcraft you a Campaign Trait once you get level 1, so if you want a particular one (and get in the game) we can work together on that.

@Ammon: Welcome! Characters don't need to get the template, it's only for buddies. They do need to follow the other guidelines where they apply, though.

@icehawk333: Welcome! In case you want to play a different kind of Shifter (one that's not a constant pain) Spheres of Power has one.

Sweet, The template would have made me rethink my stat loadout. Got a long weekend so i should be done by tommorow.

Going with an Oracle of Battle, Going with kind of an Acrobatic dancing Sword wielder, I went with the Clouded Vision Curse.

Can I change from Normal Monk the Monk(Nornkith)?

- How would you describe yourself in a single sentence?
"Uh, normal, that's me, normal."
- How did you end up in Sandpoint? Born here, moved here...?
"The Professor bought me here from somewhere else. I don't remember where exactly though. I know we've been here for four years now but before that it's all fuzzy."
- Who do you live with? Family, foster parents, siblings...?
"I live with the Professor, she is sort of my mother but she does not like that word. She gets all stiff and frowny when I use it, but she takes real good care of me and helps me grow and everything!"
- What do you want to do when you grow up?
"Well, bigger I suppose. I'm not very useful to the Professor right now as short as I am. I can't wait to get bigger! The Professor says my body needs time to adjust bit by bit though and won't let me grow too fast."
- Who is your best friend? (hint hint, you may do joint backgrounds...)
"Well there's Felix. He's real smart and has eight arms and we make up games together all the time, but he can't leave his tank or talk. That has to be boring. The other kids in town..." Leaving this open for now.
- What is your favorite scary tale?
"Scary? I dunno, I don't really get scared. I don't like puppets though."
- Who is the most awesome person ever, and why is she Shalelu Andosana?
"Well, the Professor sometimes complains about how the only 'person of quality' in Sandpoint spends her time stomping around in the wilderness but she gets that way occasionally. So I guess that makes her good?"

Isaac Drossel 1.0.0:
The 'son' of Professor Mirialis Drossel, who moved to Sandpoint from Korvosa after the unexpected death of her wife and colleague. Isaac is a good boy, if a bit odd. He is shy and reserved but insatiably curious about just about everything. Shorter than the other kids he can be spotted among, he is almost always swathed in more layers of baggy clothing than the weather strictly calls for, thus he looks rather like a gremlin making off with someone's hand-me-downs.

Under the floppy cap and the scarves, is a boy with dark hair and pale skin. On the off chance that one might see him without all of his clothes, you might see the countless fine scars running over his body tracing most of his skeleton, his bellybutton or rather the lack thereof, and how his limbs seem subtly off from their expected proportions. Between the scrawny build and his pale skin, one would almost think little Isaac was sickly or delicate, but the boy is surprisingly durable.

Attached Family:
Professor Mirialis Drossel (Elven Alchemist, physician): Taking her son Isaac and prized specimen Felix to Sandpoint after the death of her wife back in Korvosa in a lab accident. Dr. Drossel is haughty and reserved, but perhaps the finest physician the town has ever had the privilege of receiving. While lacking the raw healing might of an ordained cleric, Dr. Drossel's methods are cheaper and more readily available and she has no qualms about calling in divine help when appropriate.

While her bedside manner might leave much to be desired and her reserve when dealing with people makes her seem stubborn and rude. It is obvious to most that she took the death of her wife hard and is having a hard time making connections with humans and learning how to be a mother to her son. Pride keeps the woman from asking for help but she might need it more than she realizes.

Felix (Octopus): Perhaps Isaac's best friend, he treats the cephalopod rather like another boy might treat a dog, sneaking him treats and playing. Dr. Drossel originally acquired him as part of her studies into nervous systems and rumor has it that what had previously been a clever creature is now even smarter than average and has been known to let himself out of his tank on occasion.

There, got the basics done. One of the things I was planning to do is characterize some of Isaac's growth with mechanical changes. After the first section of the adventure, he may insist upon a 'growth spurt' for instance. Eventually, as he comes to understand himself and as the others come to understand him, he may abandon his reliance on disguising himself as human.

Hoooo boy i am not looking forward to learning spheres of power.

I absolutely love Spheres of Power and Might and would love to play an Empathetic Duelist Eliciter. Am currently on holiday so I will fill in a full alias when I get back on the 16th but in the meantime here is the filled in survey for Quiin Farso, Human Empathetic Duelist Eliciter.

- How would you describe yourself in a single sentence?

"Most adults think I'm weird. Well, the ones I've met anyway. Kids will just say it straight out. My uncle says I just see things better than others, but it still sucks. I don't know how I'd describe myself, but I guess that works."

- How did you end up in Sandpoint? Born here, moved here...?

"My parents sent me here to live with my uncle. They never liked me much. My uncle is nice, and he helps me, but I miss my brother and sister."

- Who do you live with? Family, foster parents, siblings...?

"Just my uncle. He's dad's brother, but he's nothing like dad. I really like my uncle but I haven't had much time with him."

- What do you want to do when you grow up?

"I want to be the mayor. I think I could stop people from being mean to each other that way."

- Who is your best friend? (hint hint, you may do joint backgrounds...)

"My brother was my best friend, but I don't think I'm going to see him for ages. Haven't had much of a chance to meet the other kids here."

- What is your favorite scary tale?

"My sister used to tell us a story about Bloody Red Mary coming through a mirror and eating kids. I knew it wasn't true, but my brother didn't and I liked helping comfort him."

- Who is the most awesome person ever, and why is she Shalelu Andosana?

"(only got who she was from the wiki, so if this misses the mark then ignore) Miss Andosana saved our caravan from some bandits while we were coming here. I was hiding in the cart for most of it, but I saw a little bit of her fighting. She's amazing! (I think Quiin has a bit of a crush)"

Aipaca wrote:

Yeah, I had to Google who she was as well, and found the wiki. I looked through the players guide, but I didn't see mention of her. But, the wiki works. :-)

So, looking over shifter (spheres class)

I can't say i understand perfectly, but i can say i don't think it does what i want at all.

From what i can tell, it's about flowing in and out of forms and genrally lacks a way to stay in one form all day.

I'm looking for a way to slowly transform a charecter and get them basically stuck.

I might just have to use a weretouched shifter (pazio class) and possobly multiclass out.

I'll see when i really get into it.

Thank's for the suggestion though!

Couldn't help it, here is the crunch and fluff to go along with the survey. Thanks for your consideration! This sounds like it could be a great game.

Young Quiin Farso, Human Empathetic Duelist Eliciter 0.5

Fluff:

Quiin makes people feel weird. He has always done so, and believes that he always will. He knows things that he shouldn't, especially as a 13 year old boy. He knows these things because Quiin reads minds. He has always been able to do this. Sometimes he gets true thoughts, always he gets the feelings of others. His brother and sister were always supportive and protective of Quiin, but his parents were not. Always slightly afraid of their inquisitive and perceptive child, Quiin's parents eventually sent him off to live with his uncle in Sandpoint. Another odd duck in the family, Quiin's uncle Montaron is nonetheless a good person, and was happy to have Quiin. During the journey to Sandpoint, the caravan Quiin was travelling with was beset by bandits. Hiding in a cart full of trade goods, Quiin saw snippets of the rescue of the caravan by Shalelu Andosana, and fell in to his first crush (not that he knows that's what it is). Arriving at Sandpoint, Quiin hasn't really had a chance to interact with the local kids as of yet, and knows that they will find him weird. He hopes that they can look past it, as his uncle and siblings were able to.

A part of being a weird kid is getting picked on. Quiin has managed to leverage his understanding of people and his quick reflexes to become decent in a scrap, and is quick to defend himself if he truly feels threatened - knowing your bullies minds makes it much easier to know when they really want to hurt you.

@icehawk33: Roger that, sadly I don't know of any similar class, best I can do is the "shaman" archetypes for a druid. Since the Shifter is new, I'd be a bit hesitant to touch it, but I can try if that's what you'd like to play.

@Aurora: Sure! Do any changes you want to, you can rebuild her from the ground up. And thanks for collating the submissions!

@Isaac: Welcome, fellow human! Let us enjoy typical human activities, such as breathing and digesting!

@Aipaca: Thanks for the submission!

Why yes! I too enjoy respiration and having skin!

So, here's what I've got. Stats aren't done, but I do have the feats and class, so it's almost there, just gotta decide the last few things, like stat array and skill points.

As a note, MOMS is only a dip, and she'll be going into fighter next level.

Name- meralis sandtrodder

- How would you describe yourself in a single sentence?
"I'm told by my parents i'm persistent, though I'm not really sure what that means."
- How did you end up in Sandpoint? Born here, moved here...?
"we used to travel a lot when I was younger, but my parents looked for someone to adopt me when it became clear I couldn't keep up with everyone else in the group. So I was given to my new mom, here."
- Who do you live with? Family, foster parents, siblings...?
"I... Think I just answered that? I live with my new mom, who is much better then my old one, for sure. She doesn't make me keep traveling all the time."
- What do you want to do when you grow up?
"I've heard tales of mighty swordsmen who explore the world with nothing but a sword. When I grow up, I wanna do that too! I've already learned to sense and walk around things when I hold my dagger close. I think I might be able to do it."
- Who is your best friend? (hint hint, you may do joint backgrounds...)
"well..."(Leaving this open, for now.)
- What is your favorite scary tale?
"my... Favorite? I don't like being scared... Well, Uhm... I think I'd have to say the scariest was when I was told of a deity that turns people into snakes."
- Who is the most awesome person ever, and why is she Shalelu Andosana?
"my mother is the best! She keeps the house almost exactly the same all the time so I can move around it without issues. Who's shalelu? Sorry, I don't leave the house much... But mom has finally decided that I'm old enough to wander on my own!"

(If you haven't guessed it yet, maralis is blind as a metaphor bat. This isn't easy to fix, even with magic, as it's an issue with her brain not receiving input from her eyes- this does mean, however, that she seems to walk around things just fine, and reacts to events quickly- she still sees on a subconscious level, just not a conscious one.)

Fangirling over own character:

I'm not at my computer right now but I need to tell you guys that I love this guy.

Like, I even have the spell history. His first one was Spark when he was 4, which is why his parents are still wary about him and flammable things.

He was told that he couldn't see his new little sister and mother after she was born because they were sick. In reality, his parents were worried (and feeling pretty guilty about it too) that he'd hurt her accidentally.

So little Trace began to help around the house a lot. Now 5, he learnt Open/Close to get around easier, Mage Hand to help him get things down from high cabinets and shelves, put things away, and cook. He only used Spark to light fires to cook with. Finally, he learnt Prestidigitation to do laundry, clean things, and make the things he burnt taste nice.

He also made a collection of little, strange looking toys for his baby sister. Animals, tea sets, fairies.

Needless to say, after less than a month his mother and younger sister Venice 'recovered' and since then he has leant Unseen Servant and Mount to help out more, though he does miss fire, a Big Brother has responsibilities.

That does sound like a fun character, TheoreticallyYours. :-)

I'm looking forward to the possiblities of playing with the disadvantsges of blindness- even with her eventually getting blindsight, it only works in combat, and she can never read or several other things.

It seems like it could be really interesting to play.

Also, making toph jokes.

(Though, it's not without avantages either- immunity to invisibilty, most illusions, gaze attacks, and darkness/fog effects- mostly because she already has the debuff those apply.)

Toph was what came to my mind first when I saw that in your character, icehawk. :-) Yeah, it should be very fun. Pretty much all the characters in this thread look like they'll be fantastic to play with.

TheoreticallyYours here!

Hey so here he is (except imagine with read hair)

Best image I could find, which is understandable given that child characters aren't a common thing.

Just made a couple of little stat changes. Mainly going Inspired Blade. (I thought it was more fitting, given the fact that it removes the need to kill to get panache points, which I think is better for a child based game.)

I think I've come up with a plan for his growth, too, if I get selected. (Though, it depends on how things play out, of course.) I'm thinking, as he grows older and a little bit more focused, he might dive into that magical knack he has. Mechanically speaking, multiclassing into Magus at level 2. Which, of course, is quite a distance away in the story, I imagine.

This is just a thought, of course, I prefer not to plan too strictly too far ahead, stick with what feels right based on the RP. :-)

General character notes:
-For conscript class features I'm thinking two Sphere Specializations (Berserker and either Open Hand, Boxing, or Brute), and Indomitable Will. That would trade out most of my bonus talents and feats.
-Definitely stacking on Brute and Berserker talents with an eye towards Muscular Surge, Giant, and Titan. Most because the idea of him giving a looming giant or a dragon a good thrashing amuses me.
-Might throw the Alchemy and Athletics Spheres in there for flavor and utility.
-Still deciding on combat style. Unarmed and unarmored has a certain appeal to it. I'm tempted to go with natural weapons and unarmed strikes but SoM has surprisingly little natural weapon support from what I've seen.
-I might be tempted to work on the Transformation feat line to give him something akin to a combat form for when things get serious.
-Some way to improve him akin to the Building and Modifying Constructs rule would be the holy grail of abilities but probably a touch unbalanced.

I remade the character as an incanter. She still has an infernal bloodline from the new class.

I think I managed to understand the system for the most part. But I was still not sure how to deal with the gnome's bonus to illusions (does it just go to the illusion sphere?).

Casting:

Destructive Blast [Core]
As a standard action, you may deliver a burst of blunt magical force as a melee touch attack or a ranged touch attack within Close range. A destructive blast deals bludgeoning damage as indicated on the table below. This damage bypasses DR/magic, but being bludgeoning in nature, does not automatically bypass other forms of damage resistance. A ranged destructive blast counts as a ray attack. (1d6/2 levels)

When augmenting a destructive blast with Destruction talents, you may only apply 1 blast type talent and 1 blast shape talent to each individual destructive blast.

You may spend 1 spell point when making a destructive blast to increase the damage dealt to one damage die per caster level (minimum: 2d6).

Selective Blast
You may exclude one creature plus one per 10 caster levels from the area of your destructive blasts that have an instantaneous duration. You may instead spend a spell point to increase the number of excluded creatures by your casting ability modifier (minimum +1).

Explosive Orb (blast shape) [Core]
You may spend a spell point to make a destructive blast as a burst effect centered anywhere within range. This burst has up to a 10 ft radius, + 5 ft per 5 caster levels. Affected creatures are allowed a Reflex saving throw for half damage.

Fire Blast (blast type)
You may change the damage type of your destructive blast to fire. Targets who take damage from your fire blast must make a Reflex save or catch fire. A burning creature takes 1d6 damage the following round, plus 1d6 per round until the flames are extinguished. Each round the target may make another Reflex save to attempt to extinguish the flames. Rolling on the ground or using a blanket to smother the flames (a full-round action) grants the target a +4 bonus to that round’s saving throw.

Feats:

Cantrips [Core]
Prerequisite: Casting class feature or Basic Magic Training.

Benefit: You can create a variety of small magical effects. These effects are not powerful and are treated as sphere effects in all ways. They require a standard action to use, have a range of Close, and are either instantaneous or have a duration of 1 hour depending on the effect created.

You may make a ranged touch attack, dealing 1d3 acid, electricity, fire, or cold damage to a target.
You may clean, soil, or color up to 1 cubic ft of material per round.
You may create floating lights the size of candle flames and move them up to 20 ft per round as a free action.
You may create a spark such as with flint and steel, which may ignite flammable, unattended Fine objects.
You may open or close a door or container weighing no more than 30 lbs.
You may chill, warm, or flavor 1 lbs. of nonliving material.
You may create a small breeze from whichever direction you choose, strong enough to rustle clothing and flicker candles.
You may lift objects weighing up to 1 lbs. and move them up to 10 ft per round.
You may create small non-speech sounds, such as that of a mouse screeching, soft simple harp music, or the hubbub of a whispered conversation.
You can make up new effects, but they should not be more powerful than those listed above. The GM is the final arbiter of what is or is not a cantrip.

Special Abilities:

Sorcerer Bloodline: (2 specialization points) [Core]
You gain the bloodline powers (but not the bloodline spells feats, or arcana) of one sorcerer bloodline of your choice. If you already gain a sorcerer bloodline from another class, this instead allows levels of that class and your incanter levels to stack when gaining and determining the powers and abilities of your sorcerer bloodline. Use your casting ability modifier in place of Charisma when determining the power of your bloodline, if it is higher.

Corrupting Touch (Sp): At 1st level, you can cause a creature to become shaken as a melee touch attack. This effect persists for a number of rounds equal to 1/2 your sorcerer level (minimum 1). Creatures shaken by this ability radiate an aura of evil, as if they were an evil outsider (see detect evil). Multiple touches do not stack, but they do add to the duration. You can use this ability a number of times per day equal to 3 + your Charisma modifier.

Sphere Specialization: (3 specialization points) [Core]
You specialize in a sphere of your choice. When specializing in a sphere, you gain that sphere as a bonus sphere (or a magic talent belonging to that sphere if you already possess the base sphere) and gain a +1 bonus to your caster level with that sphere.

In addition, you also gain a series of abilities associated with that sphere, as detailed below.

Destruction [Core]
Intense Magic (Su)
Whenever you create a destructive blast that deals hit point damage, add 1/2 your incanter level to the damage dealt (minimum: +1). This bonus damage is not increased by Empower Spell or similar effects. This damage is of the same type as the destructive blast. At 20th level, whenever you create a destructive blast you can roll twice to penetrate a creature’s spell resistance and take the better result.

Movement Burst (Sp)
As a swift action, you may project a burst of energy, using it to propel youself forward. You move 20 ft in a straight line in any direction you desire. This movement provokes attacks of opportunity as normal. This distance increases by 5 ft for every 2 incanter levels you possess. You may use this ability a number of times per day equal to 3 + your casting ability modifier.

And assuming TheoreticallyYours still wants a joint background:

Background question:

- Who is your best friend? (hint hint, you may do joint backgrounds...)
"TJ can do cool things with fire, just like me! He can even touch fire without getting hurt! And he can even speak the language of the plane of fire!"

Shadow Lodge

I've had wonderful ideas with characters that are kids before, like the alchemist who made sweets for extracts, the occultist with a wand that only works for him, but the one I still haven't gotten play?

Dragonrider. I'm definitely willing to work on adapting it to Spheres of Power.
