It seems like you have decided to check out the grave yard and look for the false crypt. When do you want to go? Day or Night? If you decide in the daytime then Kendra will go with you to visit her father's grave.

Rego Darksome |

Let's go by day. Since Kendra will go as well none of us will need to stay back as our purpose is to guard her. Should we hide the chest of tomes just in case our foes, whoever they may be, try to raid the house looking for them?

Quinn Dealnegru |

My thought is, we all sleep in until noon, not counting watches. we Visit the professors grave and get a lay of the land. Then at around midnight-2am we have Lyra and Ivy find and rob the grave. Rego and I will stay near by in case things go wrong. Caelynn and Burgen stay back with Kendra to bail us out of jail if things go that way. In the day we should also look at that monument at Harrowstone just in case its useful. Any ideas on how to flush out the cultists in town?
"So Lyra how, when, and with whom will you approach this?"Quinn asks

Burgen Brandstone |

"Iffin' we do go at night lass, how are the humans gonna see where they are goin'?" Burgen asks "In the dark humans can't see more than an arms length ahead o' their own face. Don't get me wrong, goin' at night is probably best, but if there is no moon or stars we will need a way to lead them, both quick and quiet."

GM PDXCook |

Kendra states that she is headed there tomorrow morning after breakfast. She has invited all of you to go with her.

Rego Darksome |

Rego smiles at her, "Yes by day is best at first. Then thereafter once we know the lay of it, some of the stealthier of us can go by night".

Quinn Dealnegru |

"Well we now have a time to look into it. We can decide any further actions based on the situation tomorrow."states Quinn."After that visit I plan to take a walk by the river and take a look at that memorial. I may do some fishing to if I can find some gear in the market."Then remembering something from the day before he turns to Kendra. On the list of thing to do tomorrow someone should also look into whats wrong with your chickens. When I visited them yesterday they acted most unnatural."

GM PDXCook |

Moving things along.
You all head out the next day to accompany Kendra to visit her father's gravesite.
I am assuming that you will not be gearing up for battle except for Rego in his armor to hide his race.
Once you reach the grave site you see that no one is around but a couple of caretakers who watch you go by and then go back to what they were doing. When you reach the grave Kendra asks for a few minutes alone. This should give you a chance to look around.
What do each of you do?

Rego Darksome |

Rego stands as close to Kendra as is respectful as she takes her time at the grave. He looks around but does not inspect anything further. Mostly he wants to keep an eye out for anyone who pays a bit too much attention to the group.
Perception 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10

Quinn Dealnegru |

As Quinn Approaches The Black Path he tries to get the topography locked in his memory. When he gets to the crossroad of Eversleep and the black path he looks around to see if anyone is looking. As to not look suspicious, he pretends to be interested in the building that stands there.

GM PDXCook |

Quinn Perception: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (14) + 1 = 15
Burgen Perception: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (19) + 4 = 23
Caelynn Perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7

Burgen Brandstone |

Burgen walks over to Caelynn as she is tending one of the graves. "I think I have found the tomb we be lookin' fer." he whispers while looking like he is examining the epitaph of the grave next to her. In a quite voice, seeimg more to be out of respect for the surroundings as opposed to trying to be quite." "Sister, seein' as ye are tendin' to the dead, I though you should know the lock on tha' tomb there is seemin' a might iffy. You may want to take a look."

GM PDXCook |

The lock has indeed been tampered with. Someone has used acid on it and then arranged it to look like it was locked.

Burgen Brandstone |

"Iffin' someone has broken into this tomb, T'would be the responsibility of the most nearby clergy to examine the place without delay to make sure nothin' was messed with or stolen, right?" Burgen says with a sly grin to Caelynn. "An' seenin' as you are the closest priestess of the Lady, I think that means it falls on you. Burgen does his best innocently pious look. "Now since this tomb seems to be broken into, we don't know if the scoundrel left some traps. I happen to know some folks staying in town who would be more than willing to help provide protection to any Priestess in the region who might be walkin' into a dangerous situation." He gestures to the others as they wander about. "Are ye willin' to accept our aid, Sister?" he asks with a slightly overdone bow.

Rego Darksome |

Rego nods and stays at Kendra's side as the group heads to the tomb. Once they arrive he does not yet unsheathe his weapon but instead turns to Kendra, "Are you comfortable waiting outside alone or do you wish one of us to stay with you?"

GM PDXCook |

Caelynn pushes on the door to the crypt and it swings open on well oiled hinges. Sunlight reveals a set of steps that lead down into the crypt.

GM PDXCook |

I guess you could go dig up the professor and compare his foot to the prints. I will tell you that they are humanoid footprints.

Rego Darksome |

Rego stays put for the moment, he does not think it would look good if everyone headed down in the middle of the day. He does though slide his hand to the handle of his mace.

Burgen Brandstone |

Perception: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 = 22
Survival: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (12) + 4 = 16
Burgen notices the tracks, but is unable to make out more of them.
"Think these tracks might be the Professors?"Burgen asks.

Lyra Tial |

Perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (20) + 5 = 25
Survival: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (20) + 1 = 21
Nice
Lyra squints to see the tracks in the dark, but sees a door in the darkness where the tracks lead.
"Over here, there's a door."
She shrugs. "I would hope it was the professor, the lock was broken through and he said he intended to go down here."

GM PDXCook |

The chamber is cool. Dust covers the room. Two statues stand on either side of the room. One man and one woman. Under the dust is an image laid out in tile that looks to be some kind of family crest. Two doors lead out of the room.

Rego Darksome |

Rego shifts closer to the crypt door so he can keep an eye of Kendra and hear if any trouble is encountered by his allies within.
Perception 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (17) + 5 = 22

GM PDXCook |

You look around and there does not seem to be anyone watching you. Kendra and Ingrid are still over by the professor's grave. Kendra looks around and gives you a nod indicating that she will keep watch while you enter.

Quinn Dealnegru |

Quinn looks to continue following the tracks.
1d20 + 4 ⇒ (11) + 4 = 15
"I'm going to continue following the tracks. Lyra please look for hiden doors or compartments. And if someone is able to look for magic, that would be helpful as well."Quinn instructs continuing to scan the floor.

Rego Darksome |

Rego, nervous about leaving Kendra alone, nods back and enters against his own better judgment.
He hears Quinn's statement and does just that.
Cast Detect Magic.

GM PDXCook |

Rego Darksome |

Rego speaks his voice somewhat muffled by the full helm he dons, "Quinn, beyond these doors there is indeed the strong presence of magic. Divination being the strongest aura present. Lyra, does that door appear to be safe to open?"

Lyra Tial |

Perception (trapfinding): 1d20 + 5 + 1 ⇒ (16) + 5 + 1 = 22
Lyra looks over the door, inspecting its hinges, checking the dust on the ground for disturbances, and occasionally poking at the nooks and crannies with a small hooked piece of metal.
Sorry for delay, was at a game convention and unexpectedly got to go to multiple days I didn't plan for
