Kissan finishes the dying monk, biting her jugular and feasting on the warm blood. Edmund comes to Red's rescue, pumping healing energies into his reptilian system.

Defend (DC 20) The animal defends you (or is ready to defend you if no threat is present), even without any command being given. Alternatively, you can command the animal to defend a specific other character.
Kissan's original command was Heel. Once she has moved next to Edmund, her 'default' trick would become defend. Since she only made one move action, her defend would be a readied attack. Please let me know if you disagree with this line of thinking and I'll retcon. Thanks!
Red the Croc |
End Rage and be fatigued for 5 more rounds.
Turning to Edmund, the werecrocodile shows a bit of gratitude, "RRthanks...". Red huffs and puffs as his wounds slowly recover. "RRrr...We chase?" He asks, although eager, knows he's taken quite a hit and requires to not to jump into the fray without taking a bit of precaution.
I don't see any immediate threat, if that's the case, I suggest we take a break and recover before going and chasing after the rest?

I don't see any immediate threat, if that's the case, I suggest we take a break and recover before going and chasing after the rest?
Agreed. Edmund was basically setting up a perimeter- not fully giving chase. His 2-9 damage/round won't do too much to them anyways...

Ready action goes off - which target? there will be no AoO as they will both 5-foot step; also, please look at the rules and confirm whether they have cover from your attack or not, as I am unsure if it applies with weapons with reach in this case.
Roldala Chainbiter |
Sorry, didn't see the notification so I thought this game was still a victim of the sitepocalypse!
The readied attack would go off against whoever moved close first, but if I get to pick I'd pick the person instead of the fiend.
So the wall we're both next to shouldn't provide cover since I can just pick the top left corner to attack from. But then because cover is weird, we'll both have cover if we attack around the corner while we're adjacent to one another.
