Victrix's arms and legs burn with fatigue, and every part of her hurts. She refocuses on the lizard after dragging the unconscious Lann to safety.

She moves around behind the two paladins in order to get a better angle of attack on the lizard. Her muscles tense up as she brings her mace down with both hands.

To Victrix he says I am wounded but thanks to you Crusaders I am alive. My failures mount...do you perhaps have advice for a young warrior?

Horgus says caustically Yeah, don't let the large reptiles eat you.

Aravashnial says cheerily Would someone examine the reptiles genitalia for me, if it has some then it wouldn't be infected with Abyssal energy, everyone knows that such energy affects these things.

Anevia rolls her eyes at the two Could I perhaps get some of those arrows that the female was carrying?

Victrix chuckles. "That's a start, 'Orgus. Another bit of advice would be 'don't get yehrself surrounded if yeh can 'elp it.'" She helps Lann back to his feet.

She winces, but keeps her chin up. Shrugging her shoulders, she decides to humor Aravashnial--she walks over to the dead lizard and lifts its tail up.

"Eh, it's kinda my fault too. I charged in where she was plannin' ta cast, an' got caught in it." She sighs and leans against the wall.

She looks at Brighton as he prays to Torag. "That's certain. But per'aps, since weh've smacked 'em around a bit, we'll be able ta get through without more blood. They moight respect strength enough ta let us through..."

...but I'm not holding out much hope, especially in our condition.

The first one fixes the pains in her ribs, and the second one takes care of some of the scythe wounds. She's still rather battered, but looking much healthier.

It's made at the minimum caster level which is 1 in this case.

Brighton looks back and forth at the arguing pair after he acknowledges Victrix's statement. "Uncle Anvil should have also passed along the adages to 'Measure twice and cut once' or 'A poor craftsman is the one who blames his tools'."

Victrix sighs in resignation and looks at the ceiling for a bit before readying her mace again. She moves to follow Belledonna in case something tries to attack her.

H1 seems to be a guard post of sorts, complete with barricades.
Barricades made of heaped loose rocks and wooden boards bisect this cavern. Beyond the barricades, a wooden screen covers the lower half of a tunnel mouth.
H2 looks to be a living area, there are crude cots and the remains of a fire present.
The lingering smells of cooked meat and rank bodies hang in the air. Ten bedrolls, each piled with coarse blankets and animal furs, surround a fire pit filled with glowing goals. Tanned hides hang stretched on the walls, each crudely painted with scenes of deformed humanoids hunting giant vermin in caves.
H10 is a slightly better looking living area. The Cultists that stayed there kept the place tidy and free of debris. Thier gear was well cared for and the area looked to be well kept.
The worked stone walls of this large room hold a number of shelves, each of which display the preserved bodies of dire rats, bats, rock vipers, cave lizards, and other creatures that pose in eerie stillness. A pair of bedrolls have been laid out to the southeast.

In H10 I incorrectly labeled the map "down" the ladder there leads upward.

With nothing to offer the group for the present, Barundar simply moves along with them, looking around and trying to observe as much about their surroundings as he can.

I'm concluding then that we have not actually seen any of the other rooms in the map.
Returning to the common room in which all the others are gathered. "That way has what looks like a crawlspace up & a door to the side. Do we risk either of those or check these," pointing to the two doors in the common room, "first?"

Gonna assume you poke your head into H3 and H5.

H3 looks to be a pantry A rack of hooks hangs from the ceiling, cured slabs of meat dangling from them and filling the room with a smoky aroma. A group of barrels appears to hold other preserved foodstuffs.

H5 looks like a trash pit This narrow hallway slopes downward steeply. The walls are stained with foul - smelling streaks of refuse. A mound of rotting garbage lies heaped at the far end of the hallway.

Stepping back out to the others, she gazes back & forth between the options available to them. "I don't like leaving possible hiding places for enemies behind us. We should be certain none conceal themselves below before continuing above." Indicating the Southernmost door & the chambers beyond with an inclination of her head as she states her case.
