My PFS # is 67083. I also entered it on Slide 2.

Ferdrin Ternyth |
Lady Gloriana strolls over. "You're doing well, Pathfinders. You have made so many helpful friends at Court so quickly. I'm sure when you need their assistance, all you need do is request their, em, aid."
Is this a hint to me or to the other party members to aid me?
GM Lorenzo |
That post, coupled with the one in the Discussion thread about the easy DC of a Diplomacy check to request a favor of an NPC who's Helpul, was intended to suggest an alternative solution to the party's woeful Charisma, lack of face skills, and poor dice rolls.
GM Wageslave |
Those instructions for extracting a .pdf did not work.
I am trying another work-around.
Work-around did not work, trying another.
I am on Windows7 SP2 with Adobe Acrobat Reader DC
GM PaleDim |
1. We got all of the "evidence", so I believe all of those boxes should be checked. How about the "resources"?
2. Would you be interested in a contribution of Mac/Preview instructions for that instructions doc?
GM Lorenzo |
You can check them. Though I think Ijo might have given something away.
Their function is mostly intended for players/GMs to track what they got in a previous session, if they don't complete all the quests in one go.
GM PaleDim |
Okay, here is GM Wageslave's Chronicle!
The chronicle should be viewable and allow others to comment directly on the document (being a great place to leave feedback if I got something wrong).
GM Wageslave |
Foxit wants a subscription after a free trial period as far as I can tell.
Will keep working on this, sorry my tech isn't super-amazing here.
GM PaleDim |
GM Wageslave, if you want to make a dayjob roll (or you made it and I already missed it), I will update the chronicle.
Bubb Blrb Brbl 'Bobbi' Libertas |
Eeesh. So focused on trying to get the chronicle set... here we go..
Craft(Alchemy): 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (11) + 4 = 15
GM Lorenzo |
GMs, you'll also need to indicate which of the two boons the player received, determined by how the party chooses to make its case in Court:
Knight of Taldor: You convince Princess Eutropia to restore Remaio's status as well as Honoria's.
Noble of Taldor: You convince the princess that Honoria's historical reputation should be redeemed, but you persuade her that Remaio is unworthy.
Ijo Ibn Son |
You can check them. Though I think Ijo might have given something away.
Ijo was hoping to give a minor object not the figurine or the rest of the lot. Hope he didn't give away too much!
Bubb Blrb Brbl 'Bobbi' Libertas |
Someone who has spoken to Rell and traded things to them should talk to Rell, since he's big on knowing the people he works with and Bobbi hasn't approached them yet and the hour is getting late.
No need for Bobbi to turn into a blob in front of him, after all.
GM Lorenzo |
You can go it alone or work together as a team. The Aid Another action is an option.
GM PaleDim |
GMs, you'll also need to indicate which of the two boons the player received, determined by how the party chooses to make its case in Court:

Noble of Taldor: You convince the princess that Honoria's historical reputation should be redeemed, but you persuade her that Remaio is unworthy.
Ah, I should have read those more closely. Will re-check it and update tonight.
GM Lorenzo |
Of course, we won't know which boon, Knight or Noble, until you role-play the last bit. ;-)
GM Lorenzo |
Just waiting to see if the party wants to attempt convincing Dominicus Rell to support Princess Eutropia.
To clarify, he's Helpful, which will help you present your case before the Court.
Princess Eutropia is Indifferent. To improve her attitude, you'd need to convince both Dominicus Rell and Inka Heldotor to support her. You've convinced IH, but not DR.
Dol Stormmaul |
What do we think? Remaio hasn't impressed me, but he did stay out of the way and let the experts work.
That is the mark of a good leader.
Is he any worse than any other noble?
GM Lorenzo |
Since it affects everyone's Chronicle, I'd like to hear from everybody.
Hell, just to make it interesting, members of the party could argue both cases, but you can only Aid Another only those who arguing the same outcome as you.
Remember, though, the DC is tougher for those arguing to rehabilitate Honaria but to not restore Remaio's fortune.
Odds are best if everyone works together and argues to help Remaio.
Just letting everyone know you have options.
Bubb Blrb Brbl 'Bobbi' Libertas |
Bobbi does NOT like Remaio. Even if he did give them a nice outfit.
They hold them at least partially responsible for the blood on their hands in the basement of the Cathedral, plus the fact that Remaio has at best been treating the party like 'hired help' in the worst traditions of why Andoran got rid of their nobility.
To enforce cooperation at the 'game level' at the convention where I ran chunks of this, GMs were given the permission to pick either option if they GM'd sections of the Quest, provided the party was successful.
Admittedly, that's the 'easy' way out.
Providing the possibility as an idea, should the party be successful, of course.
GM Lorenzo has full run of the table in question.
GM Lorenzo |
I will defer to the case you present, your skill checks and all the supporting evidence and testimony (which provide many bonuses), and of course, to the wisdom of Princess Euphoria. ;-)
If the party's final result is high enough to achieve a success on the more difficult option, I've no objection to someone choosing either one of the boons.
Bubb Blrb Brbl 'Bobbi' Libertas |
Bobbi's mindset atm:
-Support Honaria's bid to have her honor restored. She was given a rotten deal because of politics and she should be restored. From a political perspective it shows that Eutropia is taking steps to fix the 'problems' that Taldor has had.
--Don't support Remaio's bid for nobility.
He embodies all that is the worst of nobility, and if Bobbi were a Twilight Talon, he'd support the bid to totally screw over Eutropia's effort to bring nobility into the modern era.
Remember what Eutropia is looking for, then consider what Remaio is.
Does him getting to be a noble do *anything* for what she is looking for?
The above being said, if the party wants to go the 'easier' route, Bobbi IS a Confirmed Pathfinder and will Explore, Report, and most importantly COOPERATE. :)
Ferdrin Ternyth |
I think Ferdrin would find it quite reasonable for them to restore honor based on what they collected and then determine that it cannot transfer to Remaio as he desires, if they perceive the job as finding the truth. That's essentially what he asked for, and while he expressed what he hopes to get out of that, Pathfinders are not going to draw false lines from their findings to his desired reality.
That's the arcanist's take on it.
Dol Stormmaul |
Supporting Honaria is not even a question, in my mind.
Remaio, on the other hand...
Dol does have a pretty low opinion of Remaio. As a pragmatic dwarf, he expects more from someone in a position of authority, especially a bit more personal action and attention to detail.
The same opinion reflects on all human nobility, though, which is why he would be willing to support Remaio if the top-siders felt he was worthy.
With Ferdrin and Bobbi deciding he is not worthy, and Ijo only supporting him because he feels it is part of the job, Dol is willing to support the negative.
Dol Stormmaul |
I think each of us should present one of the pieces of evidence.
There are 5 missions to report, though, so I'll take Basilica and Blade, leaving the rest for you guys to choose from.
Bubb Blrb Brbl 'Bobbi' Libertas |
Dost thou have a reroll still, Dol? Don't forget any stars if you do? :)
Dol Stormmaul |
I don't get rerolls for anything that I am aware of. Not unless GMing one phase of this game earns me some kind of benefit.
GM Lorenzo |
1 person marked this as a favorite. |
Rerolls are the same as in F2F play, PFS T-shirt, folio, tote-bag, ect. Honor system.
Bubb Blrb Brbl 'Bobbi' Libertas |
Hey, Dol?
You had a 100% improvement in your die roll!
That's gotta be worth something, right?
Does anyone else have preferences?
Thankfully Dol grabbed the one that would have been an issue for me (Blade).
Ferdrin Ternyth |
after the princess responds to the homestead appeal, Ferdrin can present Grove.
Bubb Blrb Brbl 'Bobbi' Libertas |
Bobbi will bat 'cleanup' and try to recall anything else we may have missed and help out there.
That will probably be the best way to handle this, and it works pretty decently?
Current Status:
Dol: Basillica and Blade (10)
Ijo: Homestead (19)
Ferdrin: Grove
Bobbi: 'Cleanup'
Bubb Blrb Brbl 'Bobbi' Libertas |
Dangit.
Summary:
Dol: Basillica and Blade (10)
Ijo: Homestead (19)
Ferdrin: Grove (11)
Bobbi: 'Cleanup' and Breakdown (9)
Ferdrin Ternyth |
The dice were not kind.
Bubb Blrb Brbl 'Bobbi' Libertas |
The forlorn hope is that someone backs at least some of what Bobbi said and/or evidence backs it up or such.
Also, did not mention the bird construct specifically because it wasn't listed as one of the things PLUS it was in really, really bad shape to be bringing to a gathering like this -- one jostle and we'd be poiisoning the party.
If that should have been noted as well, my apologies for the omission.
Dol Stormmaul |
Do the rules for a duel allow spellcasting?
I am willing, but there are likely better choices.
Ferdrin Ternyth |
I'm guessing it's truly just wooden practice weapons and nothing for a mage, say like, a rod of merciful magic?
Dol Stormmaul |
My spells aren't really a help anyways. If I spoke Celestial, I might be able to summon a dog and ask it to grapple him, but as it is, any monster I summoned would be lethal.
Sanctuary isn't going to be much good in a duel.
