Ithad Thrune |

Lacking a sound tactical action I'll go with what I know.
Ithad carefully takes aim at the Zombie facing off with Franco, and again let another bolt fly. Then take the time to reload the crossbow.
Crossbow: 1d20 + 2 - 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 - 2 = 2
Watching the bolt go astray, Ithad curses, "By Asmodeus's Forked Beard!"

Alarra darts past the zombie, leaving it slowly trying to follow her movement. Giving up, it's gaze turns back to Franco.
Ithad continues the streak of terribly bad shots, his bolt somehow managing to glance off the tunnel ceiling before flying down the way.
Jo, thrilled by his crushing blows to the now doubly dead zombie swings his hammer enthusiastically at his next victim. Perhaps too enthusiastically as his blow merely glances harmlessly off the zombie's side.
Moondark watches as the flames continue to burn the zombie engaged with Jo, finally extinguishing themselves.
Franco, having switched to the short sword, takes a swing at the zombie he is facing. Using Combat Expertise
Attack 1d20 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 2 + 2 = 16
Damage 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8
Franco's blow cleaves through the zombie's neck and upper body. For a moment, it looks like it might go down, but it rises back up to continue to flail against Franco.
Attack 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (15) + 4 = 19
Damage 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10
It lands a terrible blow to Franco, arms smashing into his chest where you can hear the horrible grind of bone on bone.
The other zombie, seemingly encouraged by it's fellow's success attempts to bring both arms down on Jo's head and shoulders.
Attack 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8
But, it misjudges Jo's positiong again and its blow comes up short, arms whistling past Jo's face.
Coran again casts Guidance on Jo.
End of Round 3

Jo wheels his hammer around bringing to the smoldering ear of the undead creature. In all his battles in The Pits he never face anything that was not living!

Satinal shouts something unintelligible in a beautiful-sounding language. You can see him bracing to step in if something happens to Franco. Satinal readies an action to move into Franco's position if Franco withdraws.

Alarra Dayne |

Now that she is in position behind the zombie, Allara rips at it with her clawed hands (slashing damage).

If confirmed, additional damage: 1d4 - 1 ⇒ (2) - 1 = 1
EDIT: This onslaught is directed against the zombie she and Franco are flanking.

Wow, yes, that was quick work at the end
Alarra's claws tear into the back of the zombie facing Franco. You're glad you can't see what she's doing, but moments later, the zombie crumbles to the ground.
Frustrated at his miss, Jo sets up with a spectacular blow aimed right at the other zombie's head. He connects perfectly resulting in another head being separated from its body, bouncing off the wall and into the sewage channel. What's left of the zombie drops to his feet.

Alarra Dayne |

"Blech, I hate doing that," Alarra says, strolling back to retrieve her crossbow. "Granted, ripping out hearts is never fun, but did that one really have to be rotten?"
Alarra is just joking. You don't think she has ever actually ripped out anyone's heart.

Franco Nymmis |

Franco laughs, relief resounding heavily in his giggle that bounces around the enclosed space.Bending down to retrieve his flail, he turns to watch Alarra Stroll before standing to his full height." My heart is yours for the ripping as long as you always protect me from zombies." He says coyly as he goes to work searching the rotten bodies.
1d20 ⇒ 20
That's a perception roll, as there's no way Franco's making a DC 22. How much damage did he take?

I'm Jo |

Jo is truly shocked at the way Alarra handled herself. What he saw was unexpected.
"Geez lady, you not look like you need Jo's protection!"
Jo checks the body of the zombie he was fighting.

Ithad Thrune |

Ithad chuckles a little at Alarra and Franco's exchange, [b]"With your looks Alarra, I doubt it will be the last time you destroy a heart! But in all seriousness let us hope that with all of ruckus we have not attracted notice."[b]
Trying to stay alert to any other dangers.

There is a wooden door that has seen better days to your left. You can't see through, but the wood is warped and decayed.
Ahead where the zombies came from, you can see a turn in the passage (at least for those that can see that far).
You don't hear any sounds from either direction. As far as you can tell, it is dark in the streets above although you have not yet heard the final curfew bell.

I'm Jo |

Guess Jo found nothing on his zombie
Jo looks at Ithad and then at Franco.
"Sounds like flail-guy over der may have punchered lung. Someone better check on him. Make sure he okay while I check dis door."
Jo, getting the okay from Moondark, will approach the door
"Okay, watch out little one."
Jo will yank it open (or push it open if more appropriate) and with hammer ready, peer into the room.

![]() |

Jo, there was nothing on the zombies, just tattered clothing, but no possessions. I don't actually know if Franco has a tail, probably not, but I'll let him weigh in on that.
Jo finds that the door pushes open and as he gives it a shove, the door flies around to the left, creaking and then banging into the wall with a crash. The wood shakes and splinters and debris shake loose and fall to the floor.
Inside, you see what appears to be an altar made of rotten wood, intertwined with roots and branches. Soil is heaped in a circle around the altar and a shape of a giant insect is scribed in a dull red color. The area around the altar itself is stained in blood. On the far side of the room, you see several robes hanging on the wall with what appear to be insect masks next to them. A pile of robes lies nearby on the floor. Near the altar stand three longspears made of wood.
You can hear the whine of several insects within the room, strange since you haven't noticed any other bugs while you've been in the sewers.

I'm Jo |

Jo's seen lots of bugs while visiting the meadow near the river. Maybe he recognizes this insect?
Knowledge check:1d20 - 2 ⇒ (20) - 2 = 18
Never the less, Jo is leary of entering the room as his supersticious nature gets the better of him. He could be seduced to enter if the wooden spears look nice enough. Are they metal tipped?
Perception check:1d20 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 2 = 17

Coran Ven den Heuvel |

"Let me take a closer look at the alter see if I can figure out, what kind of crazy person worships a"Skeeter?". Coran walks up to the alter to take a closer look at it. He is also looking any compartments in the alter. "Don't worry Jo we'll figure this out."

You've heard tell of a strange god named Ghlaunder or The Gossamer King) - a demigod of parasites and infection, with a cult following that usually disguises their purpose. Legend tells that Ghlaunder was accidentally freed from a cocoon by Desna and that the god himself appears as an immense, mosquito-like monstrosity when he appears in the world.

Jo watches in helpless horror as four giant 'skeeters', each about a foot long with a two-foot long wingspan wingspan descend on Coran and Ithad. Their coloration is pale pink with a dirty yellow underbelly, Two of the creatures attach to Coran, one of the side of his neck and the other on his left arm. A third attaches to Ithad's head while the fourth misses Ithad's leg as he shies away from it. The attached creatures darken from their pale pink to a light, rusty red.

Satinal drops his morningstar and darts into the room next to Ithad. He attempts to grab the creature attached to Ithad's head.
Grapple (Satinal) 1d20 ⇒ 17
Satinal successfully grabs the insectoid creature and pulls it from Ithad's head. Guess that might answer the question of which one Ithad should go for.

I'm Jo |

Jo will enter the room and attack the first Skeeter he can.
He prefers to assist Coran feeling he is not as sturdy as Ithad.
He will us his fists to knock the Skeeter off Coran.

They are flat-footed when they are sucking blooood.
Jo's fist smashes into one of the creatures attached to Coran. His strikes the creature so hard that it ruptures, blood splashing onto both his forearm and all over Coran. The remains of the creature drop to the floor at Coran's feet.
I'll give a little time for the others to post before GMNPCing them.
