Hey guys, I want to say something to y'all.

You guys are the best, most artistic roleplaying group I've ever played with. In a lot of ways, it seems like what we've created here has been ART. Like, real art! Y'all should team up forever and write NEW stuff together, and I will buy it!

However, I have to say that it's time for me to bow out. It's been a long time since I've had the inclination to pull out my computer and log into Paizo and write up some posts, and I know what that means. I've been drawn out of the computer world and into the real world by a lot of problems I know y'all know about! Adding to those, my mom is getting divorced, so I have to move again pretty much immediately. It's just not possible for me to spend time on this in the way it deserves. I would only be calling in until everything calmed down, which could be months, and you deserve better.

I really, really want to thank you for the time you've given me.

First off, I really appreciate you taking initiative to start this conversation instead of forcing me to chase you down.

I hear that your life is going through a lot of sudden changes, and that it's not going to be possible for you to really keep up with the game. I'd like to respond to this statement:

I've alluded to it before, but I don't think I've stated it explicitly. It is Ehren's intention to take Ledsa on as a follower. The plan is to train her to eventually become a druid, but for now, he is just training her basic skills. Maybe she has to become an adept first? Not sure how that would work mechanically.

First of all, I'd like you to post some background that basically explains in-game why/how Valaria has transitioned from a swashbuckler/warlord to a pure bard. Maybe she did her own research, maybe she had a change of ethos... but I want some background on what she did in the last 7 months that lead to this change. 4 out of the last 7 months would have been dedicated to this training, which is substantial.

Issues:

> The Weapon Champion archetype grants you 4 choices from the "Weapon Advantage" list at your level. What did you choose? You listed "light blades + 2" which isn't an option.
> Likewise, you should have 2 choices from the "Weapon Dominance" list at your level. What did you choose - attack/damage with light weapons, or damage on a critical hit for light weapons?
> You have chosen the "Martial Oratory Performance" as one of your versatile performances. This may grant you proficiency with any one heavy blade (you are already proficient with all light blades due to the archetype) - what do you choose?
> How would you like "No One of Consequence" to work? Do you want me to assume its always on, or only when you say so?
> You appear to be over-spent on feats. You should have 6 feats (5 from levels, 1 from tier 2). You have 7 feats: leadership, point-blank shot, precise shot, weapon focus, weapon finesse, starry grace and quick draw.
> Valaria only has 24 rounds of bardic performance per day
> Your Diplomacy and Sense Motive are at +18 due to versatile performance (oratory)
> Your CMB bonus is +7 (BAB + STR)

Finally, your retraining costs 12,690 GP to accomplish, and that is before I calculate how many feats were retrained. Your group only has 11,386 GP remaining. There is a deficit of 1,304 GP currently. The retraining calculations are listed on a tab in the party cash spreadsheet.

You can either:

-> Retrain less things so it costs less money.
-> Sell things in the party inventory to make up the money
-> Have your character go into debt towards someone in exchange for the services rendered. Your debtor will likely expect the money returned back, with interest.

I think I forgot the upgrade the sheet after I made a couple of last minute choices. Sorry.

- Weapon advantage is supposed to be +4 to confirm critical threats.
- Weapon dominance is +2 to attack and damage.
- I believe that I might have misunderstood what Martial Versatile Performance can do. It says that if you are already proficient with a weapon picked by Versatile Performance, you instead gain Weapon Focus. This is also where my extra feat came from.
- Val has 10 Strength, not 12, so my CMB is correct.
- Corrected the rest.

I will work on a write-up of what she did during the break.

I suggest selling some shit. Val has some things she can part with, including her hat since she no longer has panache.

I believe Isilme mentioned possibly selling the rod of metal and mineral detection, which is worth 5,250 gp. I'd say that's our best bet.

If you still plan on taking Amateur Swashbuckler for Valaria down the line, I'd recommend holding onto the stylish cap. I think downgrading to a hat of disguise would actually be more expensive.

During Combat Aravashnial is incredibly frustrated at his blindness, and aware that his next spells may be the last spells he ever casts, so he is conservative with his resources unless specifically asked to help. His arrogance makes him underestimate the PCs, and if unfriendly with the part will be apt to give lots of patronizing advice. He prefers to use summon monster in combat. Getting rushed out the door, so I'm gonna preroll!

Preroll:
I've drawn a little triangle on the map for where I want to go.

Sacred Geometry: 5d6 ⇒ (1, 3, 4, 1, 5) = 14 (1+3+5) + (4 x 1) = 13 (2nd-level constant)

Xanderghul rushes around the corner with his allies and takes in the scene, hardly bothered by it. Of course he's seen worse. Once, he saw demonic clerics work together with demonic circus performers to hoist still-living, immolated humans on the end of spears as torches for a fiendish performance. The clerics kept them alive and the burning humans were used as props. The performance was a triumph, but Xanderghul had had artistic qualms with the constant screaming.

He only recently learned (or learned to care) about what to do in a situation of a suspected possession, though. Doing some quick calculations in his head, Xanderghul begins to do the work of how to deliver a protection from evil spell in such a way that the discharge of energy will reach all the way to the insane knight.

Xanderghul rounds the corner and starts the FRA to cast Reach protection from evil. It will finish with a standard action on Xanderghul's next turn.
