Seeing Ver'Yanion unsuccessfully fiddling with the wand for a minute Mirima gladly helps him. "Yeah, er looks like you had the safety on... there, no worries. Ver'Yanion receives the healing, but somehow is still limping (even though his legs were not the target of the blows) as he makes his way over to the dead body. He searches around to see what can be seen.

"Oh, I will survive, I guess. Getting almost killed by a zombie is not something that I would recommend to anyone." states Ver'Yanion, in a very 'matter-of-fact' way. "It only hurts when I walk."
He then turns around, after pointing out the door, obviously limping, but on other leg.
"Say, can anyone identify this stuff?" he asks, showing the potion as he puts on the ring. "Could be magic, might just be nice stuff."

Mirima's hands cover her mouth and Ver'Yanion crashes into the secret door. "Whoa!" She's successfully able to keep her giggles at the slapstick inside this time though.
Once the Elf is back on his feet Mirima takes a look at the potion. "Hmmm, I'm not too sure actually."

Beechbar shifts his gaze from Mirima to Krixit and back again.
"Eh. This will help either o' you two scrawny looking lasses. It's for when ya get tossed in the deep end o' the pool."

That being said, Krixit indicates that Mirima should take the potion. "We can't have kids drownin' on our watch, amiright?"
"Now, Ver'Yanion, after you give us a few more statements on how almost getting killed feels... she says, scribbling what he previous said onto her parchment, along with other sundry notes about the room, "... we can be off through that door you stumbled upon!"

The route to the surface leads through a maze of tight passages that include steep ascents and short climbs as they wind from west to east. As the PCs travel, they can hear the sounds of a distant battle echoing through the caves, intermixed with inspirational tales of famous Pathfinders and the heroic deeds—the raging fight between Janira and the minotaur.

"Is that Janira?" The disbelief was almost palpable in Krixit's voice. "Come on, we gotta help her!"

Ver'Yanion shrugs at the show of support, given that this very halfling told them to hide in the caves. However, he draws his sword, and moves forward, quickly, with the rest of them. Since he fears the minotaur, and who wouldn't! For that reason, he pulls out the potion of barkskin and drinks it down, all the while trying to keep up with everyone else.
Though it is far more valient than he would like, he figures should just try and get into a flanking position when he sees the minotard. He says to his sword, "You better do your job well..." but it doesn't answer back

Beechbar is the first to reach the other end of the passage and hear Janira's voice getting louder... 120 feet or so later...
The light of the surface world above provides a welcome reprieve from the blue and green fungus of the caverns below, and light illuminates a stream whose water is hastened by runoff from a recent storm further up the mountains. A ledge to the west rises up to the nearby forest canopy.
You emerge from the caverns into a 40-foot clearing at the base of the Kortos Mounts. The full moon above casts provides dim light over the entire area, bright enough to illuminate even the shaded leaf litter beneath the trees.
The slope to the west gradually rises to a height of 20 feet, and creatures standing at its highest point benefit from both a commanding view of the battlefield and a clear vantage point for ranged attacks.
To the south, about 100 feet away, Janira battles the relentless minotaur.
