Valeros turns at the sounds of fighting. He sees the man in his room trying to get a bow out from under his bed. "Hey! Where'd you get that? Hey, he's got a weapon! In here!"
He advances across the hallway, calling out, "Drop it!" He holds his sword, slightly confused about what's happened, but ready to strike if the man doesn't comply.

Ducking slightly under your wild swings he plucks up a wand from the bedding.

He gathers the wand and says in a feminine voice that is both frightening and beautiful all at the same time...

And with that 'he' disappears again.

Does Vermin's scent ability tell him anything? Not an illusion or there would be will saves when we interacted with it… Any hints why the attacks are not doing damage? Is it more DR related or more like Stoneskin, which I guess is also DR.

"Dammit!" Valeros swings in frustration at the empty space that held the man or woman just a moment ago. Assuming he doesn't hit anything.
"He's gone! Or she. I'm not sure. It sounded like a woman's voice at the end. Maybe some sort of disguise." He roughly searches the bed, flipping it over almost to see if anything is left of what she pull out of it.

On Scent, the person smells human... which could mean he is in fact human, or a number of other possibilities. On the wounds? Sparky simply failed to penetrate the flesh of the man, even though he landed some good blows. What may be as disturbing is the ease that the man avoided the attacks in the cell.

Its like the guy/girl just vanished into the rock walls. Vermin continues to search the alcove wondering about spells like Meld with Stone.

Apart from some general confusion, nothing much happens... its like a big breath has been taken, and is waiting to be exhaled.
I'll throw a bone out there though its not covered in the rules as written
There is definitely a strange scent around, though subtle and masked now by the blood shed in combat, smoke from the fires of the bombs and also from the fluids oozing out of the thawing woman. Sparky no doubt tasted something wrong in his efforts too.
Next round. Think hard Pathfinders about what tools and skills you have... don't wait for me to throw it at you.

You in fact see... well... A woman with Tiny horns, bat-like wings, and a sinuous tail that betrays the otherworldly nature of this alluring woman. Her hair is flaming red and her expression pouting.
In her hands is burning blade. She looks uncannily like a demonic version of the goddess Sarenrae.
Helloooo boys, she purrs. You miss me? I'll try not to miss you.
She Looks at Valeros...and smiles.

Vermin warns the other. Someone is out behind us. He then moves that way as he casts Bull's Strength on himself and calls Sparky to him.

As the group and the mess began to move back out into the hall, Myrielle rushed over along with the others. Holding back before rounding the corner, she gingerly tapped Vermin on the shoulder. "For luck."
Casting Bit of Luck on Vermin. On one of your next d20 rolls in the round, roll twice and take the better result.
