Orc sense motive rolls (to notice that they have been noticed):

Spoiler:

Orc 1 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (16) - 1 = 15
Orc 2 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (12) - 1 = 11
Orc 3 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (10) - 1 = 9

If the three humanoid figures in the trees have noticed that you seem more alert than before, they give no indication of that fact. Now they are completely quiet, and seem content on watching your camp.

Orson whispers, "Give me the word and I can tangle up our curious fans."

Orson watches them from the corner of his eye and is readies himself with his spells while gripping his sling.

Tilurn tightens the grip on his Lucerne Hammer. Very Well. If everyone has made their preparations, Orson cast your spell and then we shall attack and put down this threat.

Tilurn will wait for the Orcs to become entangled and then he will attack.

Male Half-Elf Druid(Wolf Shaman):1

Orson gives a confirmation nod and casts the spell on the area of the orcs and prepares his sling for action.

Orc reflex saves:

Orc1 1d20 ⇒ 20
Orc2 1d20 ⇒ 20
Orc3 1d20 ⇒ 12

There is a sudden yelp from the direction of the orcs and a second later, following a twang from Narnel's bow, a gurgling shriek which fades. A heavy thud is heard from the direction of the orcs.

Roll for initiative:

Orc1 1d20 ⇒ 14
Orc2 1d20 ⇒ 3
Orc3 1d20 ⇒ 11

Tilurn, Tampalasan and Oberon still have the benefit of the surprise round.

Human Oracle of Battle 1

Oberon steps in the middle of the camp, faces the orcs and swings his weapon over his head in a menacing manner. Come on pests, come meet whatever is your maker! he screams at them.

Since you said they were looking at us, I'm using Dazzling Display (full round action) during the surprise round. It's an Intimidate check, the DC is 10+the opponent Hit dice + the opponent Wis modifier. If I'm successful they are all shaken for 1 round, + 1 round for every 5 points over the DC.

Intimidate check:
1d20 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9

Then during my next turn I will use a raedied action to attack the first opponent that comes in range. With the brace quality of the weapon, I will do twice the damage if he comes charging.

Initiative:
1d20 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 2 = 17

Attack:
1d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 241d10 + 7 ⇒ (10) + 7 = 17, if charging +1d10 + 7 ⇒ (5) + 7 = 12

Male Tian-Sing Human Foresight Wizard 1

Tampalasan looks out from the tent, sleepily, and shakes his head, responding, "What we need now is just a bit more sleep..."

Start casting Sleep. As a 1-round casting time spell, I will need to take a standard action on the first round to finish casting the spell. Will DC 16.

Initiative: 1d20 ⇒ 12

Tilurn sees that the orcs avoid being entangled in Orson's spell and are too far to charge so he braces his Lucerne Hammer (reach 10 feet) for the impending onslaught.

Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (13) + 4 = 17
Damage: 1d12 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5 + If charging double damage 1d12 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10

So, initiative goes as follows:

Narnel
Oberon
Orson
Tilurn
Orc1
Tampalasan
Orc3
Orc2

Narnel misses this time and the arrow gets stuck in a tree trunk and quivers there.
Oberon waits for his enemy to attack.
So does Tilurn.
One of the orcs slowly threads to the edge of the region where the growing grass stops and then some ten feet more. Then he attempts to throw a javelin at Oberon.

Orc1 javelin 1d20 ⇒ 16
damage 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8

The javelin barely misses stabbing into the ground next to Oberon's foot.
Tampalasan begins to cast sleep
Another of the orcs comes near the other and throws a javelin at Tilurn

Orc2 javelin 1d20 ⇒ 11
damage 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7

The javelin stabs into the ground several feet away from Tilurn.

Human Oracle of Battle 1

I already declared my action for the next turn: wait for the orc to come at me. In the surprise round I tried to intimidate them, apparently with no results. So my action still stands.
Oberon gives a stern look at the javelin who just missed him, but keeps his position, waiting for the orcs to come close.

Male Tian-Sing Human Foresight Wizard 1

Tampalasan finishes his incantation and pulls forth his longspear to stand with Oberon.

Finish casting Sleep, then draw longspear.

The Exchange

Male Half-Elf Druid(Wolf Shaman):1

Orson slings a mighty pebble at the orc who threw the Javilin, and Cres stays by his feet growling at the orcs.

Sling attack:1d20 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 2 = 18
Damage:1d4 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6

If the Orcs have moved within 60 feet of Tilurn and out of the area affected by the entangle spell, Tilurn will charge. If that is not true, Tilurn will continue to brace for a charge.

Tilurn charges the nearest orc, stops within 10 feet of the orc, and strike with his Lucerne Hammer. attack 1d20 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 4 + 2 = 12 , damage 1d12 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8

Orson's bullet hits one of the orcs squarely between the eyes with a wet crunch, and, crossing eyes, the orc collapses on the ground, twitching.

Orc2 will save vs sleep DC of 16 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (10) - 1 = 9

The last orc blinks dizzily several times, shakes his head and collapses in a heap. Silence descends on the campsite, broken only by the crackling of the fire and a gurgling sound that soon goes silent, comming from the bushes, where Narnel's arrow found it's target.

Tampalasan, 1 round casting time means that you take a full-round aciton to cast the spell and that spell comes into being just before you begin your nex turn. So you had a standard action, a move action and all other actions to perform.

Human Oracle of Battle 1

Well, that was unexpected says Oberon, lowering his weapon. Good job, everyone. What do you think they wanted from us?

Spellcraft check to recognize if the last orc is still alive or if Tampalasan's spell was lethal.
1d20 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7

Too bad we can't ask them... he says as he walks to the orc that just fell, believing he's dead.

Narnel polls his arrow out of the dead Orc with a smile. he also attempts to retrieve the secon one that went awry.

No need to waste good arrows...

@ Narnel: The orc you shot is quite dead. The arrow has pierced his lung, and he is lying on his back, crimson froth at his mouth and in a pool of blood which has been quickly soaked into the earth. The arrow you used to shoot him with is broken however, because he was trashing when he died, but the other one is 1d100 ⇒ 58 unbroken, and is stuck in the soft earth.

@Orson: The orc is still alive, but dying, and if nothing is done to prevent it, he will expire in less then a minute.

@Tampalasan:

Spoiler:

Save vs spell 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (12) - 1 = 11

The orc continues to snore in his sleep, but the pitch of the snore changes for a second.

@Oberon: You could not discern if the spell was lethal or not, but Tampalasan's words and the fact that the orc began to snore, quite loudly proved the latter.

Spoiler:

Perception checks
Narnel 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (15) + 6 = 21
Oberon 1d20 ⇒ 2
Tilurn 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10
Tampalasan 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
Orson 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (1) + 8 = 9

Narnel, you notice a red glow on the horizon, in the direction from which you came. At the same time, a small squirrel jumps from a tree, calmly walks up to you all and starts chattering excitedly.

Tilurn follows Tampalasan to the sleeping Orc and readies his greatsword behind his back to attack if the Orc awakens and attacks again.

Orson will cast stabilize on the orc no need killing, but will quickly bound the orc's hands together. He will just listen to the rest of the group and watch over this orc with his spearhead aimed at it.

Squirrel obviously does not like being ignored, so it climbs on Narnel and start sto lick his earlobe, while grinding it's teeth.

The orc wakes up, and when he sees you, Tampalasan, a look of recognition and happiness passes on his face. He says something that only Tilurn understands, and even he has problems in understanding it. But it goes on like 'my friend, i am so sorry that i tried to kill you. I don't know what has gotten over me'

Tilurn nods toward Tampalasn, and says in Orc, He is concerned about why you would do such a terrible thing. He wonders if someone compelled you to attack us?

Human Oracle of Battle 1

What's he saying? Should we put him out of his misery? asks Oberon, pointing his weapon at the awake orc.

In Common, Tilurn translates for the others, I can't make it all out, but he apologizes for trying to kill us and he is not sure why he did it. I asked him if someone or something made him do it.

Human Oracle of Battle 1

He... apologizes for trying to kill us? So he wasn't his fault? I find that difficult to believe, Tilurn. Looks to me that you are actually trying to save your "cousin" here, from a well deserved death.

Male Wood Elf Kensei Monk 7; AC 16 (18-melee Kensei), HP 5/52, Str +3, Dex +7, Con +2, Int +1, Wis +2 Cha -1, Perc +5, Acro +7, Athl +3/+6, Stealth +6, Ki 1/7, (DC 13)

Narnel casually pets Squirrel. He adds,

I think maybe Tampalasan may have changed his attitude towards us, right, friend? Maybe we should ask where the rest of his friends are? Then, Oberon, we can but the beast down!

Forgive me, but who is Squirrel?

Sovereign Court

Male Dwarf IT Engineer 1

@Narnel
As you pet the squirrel, you feel a bit of folded parchment attached to it's leg. When you take it off and unfold it, you find a note, written in the professor's hand. It says:

Caludar is under attack by orcs, trolls and worse. Do not attempt to come back and give aid. That is pointless and will only result in your death. Their numbers are vast. Fashuk, Durngrim and i are evacuating as many people as we can through the secret caves. Hopefully, we will be able to escape. In any case, continue with the mission, i will wait for you in the fortress of Tel Halaf if i can. You are our only hope now it seems. Don't let it get to your head. Soolk.

@Tilurn
The orc answers you Well, we came to kill you, but, then, i like you now and don't want to kill you. He is my great friend. I could never hurt my friend. He looks at other orcs. If they're not dead, you should kill them. They don't like you. Oh no.

Tilurn answers the Orc in his language, Yes, Tampalasan is your friend, and he wants to know who sent you to attack us?

Turning to the others, Tilurn speaking in Common says, This one is quite charmed by Tampalasan. He says kill the other orcs if they are still alive. I have asked him who sent him here.

Male Wood Elf Kensei Monk 7; AC 16 (18-melee Kensei), HP 5/52, Str +3, Dex +7, Con +2, Int +1, Wis +2 Cha -1, Perc +5, Acro +7, Athl +3/+6, Stealth +6, Ki 1/7, (DC 13)

Narnel sits down and opens a piece of paper that he receioved from the Squirrel.

The professor sent us a missive via this Squirrel. You may all read its contents when we are finished with our new friend, but needless to say, they are likely part of a larger group of Trolls and Orcs who are right now attacking Caludar, the town we just left. Tilurn, ask him about that, would you please?

After listening to Narnel disclose the message from the squirrel, Tilurn turns back to the Orc with a stern look on his face. Your brethern are attacking the city of Caludar as we speak. That is very unusual. You call yourself friend, but now I am unsure. You best tell us what is happening.

The Exchange

Male Half-Elf Druid(Wolf Shaman):1

Orson stays alert waiting for the orcs response and watching over the group and the one orc he saved. Also looking for any other orcs around.

@Orson, you see or hear nothing else, except that you now also become aware of the red glow on the horizon, in the direction of caludar.

Orc licks his lips while looking at you and sweat beads on his forehead.
We came over the mountains to kill and steal. There is a lot of us. So many that you cannot push us back this time. But i am sorry that i tried to kill you. You are Mog's friend. Mog not want to hurt you.

Male Wood Elf Kensei Monk 7; AC 16 (18-melee Kensei), HP 5/52, Str +3, Dex +7, Con +2, Int +1, Wis +2 Cha -1, Perc +5, Acro +7, Athl +3/+6, Stealth +6, Ki 1/7, (DC 13)

Narnel stands and walks to Tilurn's side.

Tilurn, find out who leads them...who sent them?

After Tilurn translates to the rest of the group what Mog says about the Orc onslaught, Narnel asks for more information. Tilurn presses Mog, to share more.

In Orc, Mog, yes we are your friends, and you insult us greatly by trying to kill us. We will forgive you if you can tell us more about this Orc attack. Who sent you? Who is your leader?

The Exchange

Male Half-Elf Druid(Wolf Shaman):1

Orson's face goes grim as he says, "I see Mog's friends are on the horizon since it's ablaze." Orson points the direction of the horizon with his spear while tightening his grip on it.

He looks over to Narnel and the squirrel, "Intresting message service, and a very brave creature." He pats the squirrel on the head.

Mog makes a said face and looks at tampalasan, his eyes brimming with tears.
Mog don't want to hurt you! Mog like you all! Please not be mad at Mog! Well, the master sent us! And our leader is Gmork. He attacks the town. Who is the great boss leader, Mog don't know. That a secret few know. Mog once asked, and got this for asking.
He lifts his shirt and shows a horrible scar from branding iron on his chest.

@Orson: The squirrel communicates to you that it appreciates the fact that you think that it is brave, and that it would love a treat.

Male Tian-Sing Human Foresight Wizard 1

Tampalasan smiles, and with a calm, reassuring voice responds, "Everything is fine. You didn't know who we were. Tilurn, let this one know that he should probably run off into the hills and avoid his tribe. If they think that he was killed with the rest of his group, then they will not hunt him down for failure."

Male Wood Elf Kensei Monk 7; AC 16 (18-melee Kensei), HP 5/52, Str +3, Dex +7, Con +2, Int +1, Wis +2 Cha -1, Perc +5, Acro +7, Athl +3/+6, Stealth +6, Ki 1/7, (DC 13)

Are we seriously going to let him just go? Tampalasan, what happens when your contol over him expires? I do not want an enemy at my back, I say he dies now.

Human Oracle of Battle 1

I agree with Narnel on this. He fought and lost, and for what I'm concerned he lived past what Death has allowed him long enough. I say we put him down, unless we can find some use for him. Oberon wonders. Should they use this orc as a scout or a messenger? And can he really be trusted?

The Exchange

Male Half-Elf Druid(Wolf Shaman):1

Orson gives the brave rodent a almond from his trail ration, then hearing a whimper from his feet he breaks off a piece of the jerky for Cres, "Of course your brave too." He mutters as he feeds the wolf and pats him on the head. Hearing the others discussing what do with there new friend Orson chimes in, [b]"Do we really need more killing, but I understand it will help protect us. Though I say since this orc's tribe is attacking Tilurn's land and people, we should let him judge the fate of these two greenskins." He says also jestering to the one he has stabilized.

A shocked look crosses Tilurn's face as he hears, Tampalasan's request. He listens as the others express their opinion on Mog's fate. Speaking up in common he says to Tampalasan, I may have Orc blood coursing through my veins, but my hatred of Orcs runs deeper. Right now, my brothers and sisters are falling at the hands of these vile beasts. He is only expressing his friendship through the charm you have him under. As soon as it expires, he will make it his unending vow to track us down and slay us one by one. I say kill him now. I can make the blow swift and sure to limit his suffering in return for the information he has given us. I assure you he and his kind will not return the mercy we have shown.
