Just got ultimate campaigns! Oh frabjous day! It's good people. Really good. Child/adolescent adventures, kingdoms with sewers, complete background generation, running a tavern/brothel/school/business/cult, and so much more!


Hey all! I know I mentioned having some adjustments for work but I really fell behind and am trying to catch up. I'm finally getting a few minutes on my lunch break. I'm really sorry about all this. The good news is that I'm not dropping or anything, I will pick back up. Like I said, I'm just adjusting to not having 9 hours a day some days to post. I probably won't be able to get anything up to move the story forward until later tonight. But I promise I will have a post up.

A couple of things I should let you know about my upcoming schedule, I will be out for a couple of different weeks with no posting at all. The first week will be from June 15-22. I will be out of the country with little to no access to wifi, and even if I had wifi I wouldn't really have the time to post. From July 4-9 I will be out for my anniversary so there will definitely be no posting during that time.

If anyone else knows of a vacation that they have coming up where they are not going to be able to post please go ahead and let us know, this way we're not wondering where you are, just like you've been worrying about me the last few days!

Again, so sorry, but the sudden change just threw me and I have had very few chances the last few days to even get online, even less to post. But I will have something late tonight and will make sure to start posting more often. It's not that I don't have the time, it's just that I was used to having all that time during the day and my evenings have been packed lately. I look forward to continuing this adventure with you all!

So on the list of items are there a total of 10 cure potions or are there just 5? It almost looked like some of the items list is a copy and paste duplicate. Mainly I need to know if Tuoni took 5 potions then are there any left for Tev to take 1.


Hey all, I just want to elaborate on my current flightiness and reassure you of a couple of things.

So my job situation changed as I said, but I'll be more specific. I have been working in the pawn/gold buying area for a few years now, mostly to put myself through college (do NOT imagine me as one of those sleezy pawn people, I'm actually quite nice and a bit sensitive to boot), but for a while I was at one of those We Buy Gold places and it was DEAD. That allowed me to get more involved with pbp and sometimes be able to post all day long. This made it to where I didn't think about posting during the evening/morning times and generally worked out. Well, since that place made no money we shut it down and I had to go back to the pawn shop, which as you can imagine is a regular business where I can't play games all day. So that's why I have been adjusting. I know that I didn't necessarily have to tell you all that but I figure it's only fair. I'm not good at transition with my time schedule, so everything has been topsy-turvy for me and I've had to settle into it. Thanks for hanging in there so far.

That leads me to the reassurances. This group is my most important group. I did get myself involved in a lot of other pbp's because I had the time, but this one has always been my commitment. Even is there are short time lapses, I will always make sure that this is my first priority. We've adventured together, even quarreled a bit, and still we venture forth! I'm sorry for some of these short term glitches that I've had, but I appreciate your endurance and your help to learn more about Pathfinder. It means a lot! Let's keep moving forward!

Also, just a reminder, I'll be gone all next week so don't think I've abandoned you!!

Tev you might want to use the climb check for climbing rather than acrobatics to jump over them. Just a suggestion the DC would most likely be much lower. :)

My grandmother just died, funeral is scheduled for next saturday. I have no idea how this will affect posting, but if I seem a bit slow to post, or just vanish, that is why. Oddly, yesterday's trip was totally unrelated.

Sorry to hear that my condolences.


Hey all, I'm sorry for saying sorry so often. It seems like excuse after excuse, but this last two weeks have been a bit overwhelming. Not only have I been gearing up for this trip with my church next week to the Dominican, my wife's and my dog has been dealing with stuff. Long story short a terribly eventful trip to the groomer last week ended in part of his tail being amputated today after several trips to the vet, including stitches, a lot of blood, the cone of shame, and of course leading to the very cute white tip of his tail being taken off today. It's been extremely emotional and draining, especially since we are both leaving him for a week tomorrow with a variety of friends and family as sitters. I know I've had to say it many times recently, but I'm sorry that rl has been a b&$!+.

Once this trip is over a lot will settle down for me, and minus a much shorter trip for our 1 year anniversary (woohoo), I'm not planning on being anywhere but home. Doing things I enjoy, such as this game. So, I'm sorry that we haven't gotten a lot accomplished in the last week, but this will be my last post before leaving, most likely until Monday 6/24. So, take a breather, catch up on your other pbp's, and I'll be rip roaring ready when I return.

Also, I'm very sorry Tuoni for your loss, and I can completely join in with the sentiment and say 'Hear, hear!' to 97 years! What an incredible life that must have been!

We're missing Janasen and Radim, and I might get a chance during my lunch break to resolve some of the actions, my copy of the AP is at home. I'm pretty sure that at least one skull is dead, but I can't confirm that. Either way, just waiting on the other two to move forward the initiative.

OH. HOLY. CRAP!

Long story short, I wrote a post two weeks ago monday saying I would likely be AFK for the next two weeks. I posted this on the discussion threads of all my campaigns, and apparently the goblins ate everything. So I am currently freaking out a little bit. A thousand apologies may my house be turned into a dungheap.

circumstances=rant-ish:

A few weeks ago my grandmother died, funeral stuff happened during the break we took so I didn't bother to notify people. Since then things in that clan have devolved to the point that there are now three camps, two of which have lawyers aimed at each other, and the a third, which my family and one other falls in, which are watching the oncoming train-wreck weeping, because seriously, it's reaching latin soap-opera levels, aside from the adultery and murder, so far.

As neither side will allow the other to touch the estate, my family, and thus me because I'm attending the nearby university and everyone else had to get back to jobs and homes, have had to take care of fixing up properties to sell, cataloging possessions, and generally all the stuff that comes with estates. Alone. By myself. Also trying to wrangle the paranoid schizophrenic aunt who refuses to accept that her mother being dead means the house that she lives needs to be sold and that all of this stuff doesn't actually belong to her. She has the endearing quality of accusing any and all males around of rape.

And so I washed my hands of the mess, except not really. Having lived in and managed one of the properties that make up the estate for three years I can't just walk away because, well, it's my house and I've been paying bills, so yeah.

This is in addition to all the other stuff that comes with moving back early, finding job, taking courses, etc.

Anyway, I have my schedule together, at least until shifts change again, and honestly thought everybody knew.

I'm getting tired of saying this, but I'm so very sorry. I was in a wedding and had guests staying at my house all week, though I still planned on getting on. I tried several times and the website was not responding, mid-afternoon was the only time I was available. So the wedding is over and the guests just left so I had a moment to get on here. We're cleaning up after all that so I don't have to time to post the next part. I will post that up Monday morning. I just wanted to let you all know what happened. I am just trying to figure out exactly what the auras are without really knowing what they are. I am just trying to be helpful and to make it clear.

A magical aura comes from one school or another, and then we can do specific spellcraft DC.

Would they get a specific aura when detecting evil, rather than an aura just everywhere.

I think we would get a specific aura if there were something capable of generating it, as per the spell, within range. Same thing with Detect Magic.

However, I can easily see faint or weak auras being impossible, or at least difficult, to distinguish due to the general miasma. I love being able to use that word. Maybe a perception or spellcraft check to distinguish individual sources?


Though my main concern as a player is what is either making this miasma, or exactly what is the miasma. We are not in Ravenloft, and even there, such things do not cover large areas, each village or realm had a reason for the auras being exuded.

Well this doesn't affect my character, though just trying to piece this together.
