I'm a Magus, not a Mage. There's a difference! Unless we have another mage in here. Anyway, all I can do is cast Color Spray which would have been useful but I do not have the material component, unless scraping up some dirt from the floor counts.

Darvik Harrin |

We'll give it a try. If this doesn't work, eh, it doesn't work.
Concentration for Color Spray, if I can get the range: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (9) + 3 = 12
If I can only get one, I want Tubby. If I can't get Tubby I will get the other one so that Gregor can get Tubby.

Jasper Vraxis |

Jasper closes his eyes tightly, chanting in Infernal. As his voice rises, he twists his wrists with a quick motion and snaps his eyes open again. With a loud crack and the smell of sulphur, an eagle with wicked talons and blood-red feathers appears behind the tubby guard. It immediately lets loose a screech and flies at his face.
Casting Summon Monster I SLA, fiendish eagle. Summoning it behind Tubby to distract him and stop him joining the beating. I'm assuming it just attacks Tubby, taking the most direct route? I don't know if I can give it commands, since it doesn't have any languages listed. If I CAN give it commands (Jasper speaks both Infernal and Abyssal), I'll tell it to get the signal horn away from him.
Concentration check to overcome anti-magic: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (13) + 5 = 18
Fiendish eagle talon 1: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8
Fiendish eagle talon 2: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (14) + 3 = 17
Fiendish eagle bite: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (20) + 3 = 23
Confirm crit: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (15) + 3 = 18
So a normal hit with one talon, and a confirmed crit with the bite. Damage rolls:
Talon: 1d4 ⇒ 4
Bite: 1d4 ⇒ 2 x 2 = 4
8 damage to Tubby.
Of course, if I've stuffed any of this up, let me know.

Rnd 1 summarized
The cell door slams open and you see two rather angry guards – a tall lanky one and one that’s rather tubby.
AC 17, T 11, F 16; hp 13/13; F/R/W +4/0/-1
AC 17, T 11, F 16; hp 5/13; F/R/W +4/0/-1
You hear an audible 'ooof' as Gregor tackles the lanky guard and grabs him in a bear hug. Clearly, the guards aren't used to their prisoners fighting back with such tenacity. He squirms and shoves with his club trying to get Gregor off of him so he can get enough separation to use his club.
Attempt to Get Un-Grappled: 1d20 + 4 - 2 ⇒ (1) + 4 - 2 = 3 this is terrible!!
Instead, he loses his footing and tumbles to the ground giving Gregor a huge advantage in the fight. As the other prisoners cheer the sheriff on, Morlos gathers up his will and tries to force the guard at the door to do his bidding but the constant humming and buzzing in his mind prove to be too great a distraction.
The tubby guard watches his companion go down in a heap - unsure as to whether to move forward to help him, or blow the signal horn as per protocol. As he debates his choices, sharp talons take his shoulders and back as Jasper's summoned eagle flits about his head harrassing him.
Lanky guard is prone on the ground due to the terrible roll. Tubby guard was surprised, hence no actions. Gregor’s free and unarmed. The rest of you are still shackled. Should you wish to grab, throw or perform any other 'melee'-type actions in combat, you’ll take a -2 penalty to your rolls due to restricted movement. Charlie – your penalty will be -4 (-2 for fatigued, -2 for restricted movement). I haven't updated the map for this round but the only change is Gregor is right around the guard's position in the middle of the cell and the tubby guard has an eagle clawing the snot out of him. Round 2 - go ahead and post your actions.

Gregor Kardoff |

improve grapple: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (20) + 10 = 30 CMB- +3 +2 for FE and +5 for successful grapple last round vs CMD 13 I don't know how a crit with a combat maneuver works. ;) double damage if I confirm?
confirm: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (6) + 10 = 16
Gregor keeps the Bear hug and gets the guard in a scissors lock on the ground. choking and crushing his kidneys. my understanding is 2 (st) +2 (double st) +2 FE = 6 damage to the lanky guard

GM Fyren |

Yeah at this point, the one on the ground would likely be crying uncle and you could manhandle him in subsequent rounds (btw his CMD is net 12 rather than 13 but no biggie) without rolling. If anything he's inclined to run for help if he can get free. They don't get paid enough for this stuff! ;)

Jasper Vraxis |

The eagle latches onto the guard's shoulders, attempting to obscure his vision, and bites at his head. Meanwhile, Jasper attempts to pull free of his shackles, but only succeeds in scratching his wrists. He mutters a curse under his breath. When I get out of here, I swear I'll kill every last one of you bastards.
Jasper's escape artist check: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8 Haha. Not happening.
Eagle talon 1: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (17) + 3 = 20
Eagle talon 2: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10
Eagle bite: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (18) + 3 = 21
Talon damage: 1d4 ⇒ 1
Bite damage: 1d4 ⇒ 2
Total of three damage. Damn. So close to an unconscious guard.

Avingen |

Avingen watches avidly as Gregor clinches with the guard, seeking an opportunity to help.
When the two of them go down in a heap, he sees his chance, as the guard's head comes close enough...
Foot Stomp
1d20 + 3 - 2 ⇒ (4) + 3 - 2 = 5
Unfortunately, the shackles prove too cumbersome for his strike to hit.
Growling, Avingen waits for the next opportunity.

Morlos Hesani |

In the case that the channel does not require concentration check (since its a supernatural ability), going to use that channel and so it's a 30 foot radius centered on Morlos. All evil characters within range heal...
1d4 ⇒ 1 hp
And any good creature that fails its DC 12 save is sickened...
Will Lanky: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (15) - 1 = 14
Will Tubby: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (4) - 1 = 3

GM Fyren |

Would using channel require the concentration check?
Yes it does - indicated as such in discussion earlier. Roll it if you want to use it please. :)

Rnd 2 Summarized
As the two men struggle in the middle of the cell, Avingen tries to help his new ally out by sticking a foot out and slamming it on the guard. Unfortunately, the chains cause his timing to falter.
Morlos' eyes roll back in his head as he successfully spreads his evil aura in the surrounding area making both guards retch.
The guard is in dire straits as Gregor continues to punish him on the group, slowly threatening to choke the life out of him.
Ungrapple again: 1d20 + 4 - 2 ⇒ (10) + 4 - 2 = 12
Realizing the situation is getting hopeless, he calls out to his colleague. Get the others Sef! This one is a beast - get help!!
Tubby Sef in the meantime has his own problems. Sickened by Morlos' aura, blood dripping down his face from a crazed bird screeching wildly raking his scalp with razor sharp talons, he manages to pull out his signal horn and give it 3 sharp blows. Hoping his backup is on the way, he ducks out of the cell and you hear footsteps receding down the hallway - with the eagle in hot pursuit.
Secondary Guards' Perception: 1d20 - 2 ⇒ (1) - 2 = -1
m&*#f*#%&r - gm can't catch a break!
Jasper - your eagle will continue attacking in round 3, so you can use your atk rolls again. You can't see it but they are in the hallway outside the cell approaching a corner.
Male Human Warrior 2, Init +1, Per +2 normal (current -2)
AC 17, T 11, F 16; hp 7/13; F/R/W +4/0/-1

[ooc]Seems I'm too far away to attack and I do not have any other special moves, I'll try to escape my binds. Escape Artist: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (17) + 5 = 22
Quickly, kill that man and get the keys! Others may be alerted by the fat one!

Jasper Vraxis |

Talon 1: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7
Talon 2: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10
Bite: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5
Escape artist: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 2 = 13
... aaaaaaaaand this is where my luck runs out. Damn.
The eagle flaps around the guard's head, trying to scratch his eyes out, but the man's running makes it hard. It only succeeds in flapping harmlessly around his face.
Jasper, meanwhile, grits his teeth and attempts to escape his bonds again, but his straining gets him nowhere.

Gregor Kardoff |

Gregor seeing the fat one running out of the room, grabs the keys off the lanky one's belt and releases him to gasp on the ground standing he hands the keys to Avignen and picks up the club.
He grins down at the gasping guard while standing over him with a club. Take Charlie up on your offer or die? yur choice!

GM Fyren |

Avingen quickly begins to unshackle himself.
Not sure if I need to make any rolls here
No rolls needed - full round to unlock and unshackle all four chains around you since you have the key, so you will be free at the end of round 3. You can also pass on the key to someone beside you at the end of the round (or throw it to someone farther away using rolls for throw/catch) so they can unlock/unshackle themselves in round 4 - or you could go do it for them in round 4.

Round 3 summarized
ok, ok! Jus' don' - back off, back off! cries the guard on the floor as the prisoners offer their ultimatum. He sits up on the floor as Avingen starts unlocking himself and scoots a bit away from Gregor, his back to the cell door. I don' get paid enuff fer this. Jus' don' hurt me no more. Sef ain't gonna listen to me if I try to call him. 'e's likely runnin' to git the others but you won't get no troubles frm me. Jus' lemme go, k?
Down the hall, you hear wild screeching, yelling and the patter of footsteps receding down the hall along with another 3 sharp blasts of the signal horn.
Secondary Guards' Perception: 1d20 - 2 ⇒ (9) - 2 = 7
Gregor stands in his rags wielding the guard's former leather club (this functions as a sap btw) as Avingen finishes freeing himself from his chains and passes the keys on to...
Round 4 begins - The first guard has ran off somewhere with the eagle chasing him. The second guard is in the cell, fully demoralized with his back to the opening in the cell. The door to your cell is open. Gregor and Avingen are free of their chains.

GM Fyren |

Free the casters? That would definitely be a good plan.
Don't listen to 'im... he just wants to save his own skin! ;) Free the little ankle-biter!

Gregor Kardoff |

Gregor looks over his shoulder at Avignen and the others..Follow when you can and do with this what you will
and he turns and sprints out the door following tubby and the guard. heading for where he hears the screams.

I never said NOT to free everyone else. I just suggested additional people to be freed :p

Darvik Harrin |

Doesn't matter, as long as we all get the hell (or is that the heaven?) out of here.
Get that tub of lard before he brings the entire kingdom with that blasting horn! Knock that scum outcold, we do't need any more chatter from him.

Jasper Vraxis |

I'm going to just assume the eagle keeps attacking. I can't see it, so I guess it would be unfair to say what happens. I'll just roll.
Talon 1: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6
Talon 2: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (15) + 3 = 18
Bite: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8
Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 4
"Well. I can't speak for the rest of you, but I for one would very much like to get out of here."

GM Fyren |

If I'm correct, that means Tubby is unconscious, right?
Yep... but the question is - did all that screeching and running rouse anybody else?

GM Fyren |

If I can use the keys to free myself now, even though I already had the eagle attack, that would be great.
of course... you're not an eagle... your actions would be your own - as long as you manage to catch the 'toss'! lol
Sry guys, busy day. Fyren, did Tubby take the other guard's sword with him? If he dropped it, Avingen will grab it.
Avingen tosses the keys to Jasper , then runs out the door in Gregor's wake.
@Avingen Tubby didn't drop anything as he ran to get help. He still has the other sword in his hand and crossbow in belt so he could use the horn. Of course, you could pry it out of his cold unconscious hands... you won't get there this round though.
And before I forget - Jasper's about 20 feet away from Avingen so let's see a roll from each of you to throw and catch the keys ;) Jasper - you'll be catching at a -2 penalty since you're still chained. DC15 for both.
Jasper Vraxis |

What modifiers should I add for that roll? And I got confused, since the summoned eagle acts after my turn. Just handwave it and say that this is happening while it's attacking? Haha.

GM Fyren |

dex bonus since it'd be a dexterity roll to toss and catch. You also get a -2 though since the chains restrict your movement.

Ah, I thought he was right next to Avingen....sort of based on the order we were brought in. If that was the case, Avingen would have "tossed" the keys directly to whomever was closest. But I guess he's already out the door ;(
Also, he will pry the sword out of Tubby's hands once he gets to him.
