Torith Torson |
Torith also doesn't need any items right now as he is a weapon and generates his own ammo.
Donating tot he temple sounds like a great idea.
Thozar Earthchanter |
Have we investigated this Melira? I was going over our handouts for inspiration and couldn't remember if this was a lead we had pursued.
GM Fuzzfoot |
Other than the letter, you have found no reference to anyone named Melira.
GM Fuzzfoot |
Remember, even though you have spoken to a lot of people, you know different things now than you did when you spoke to most of them. It might be worth reviewing what you know, who you know, and re-visiting a few to see if they know anything more.
Thuradin Drackenforge |
Thuradin will speak with the Cleric's at the Sanctuary to see if any of them know where Katreza might go if he thought his life was in danger. Was there anyone in Trunau that he was close to? Anyone who might offer him sanctuary, other than the Sanctuary?
Gundar Forgelight |
Wait a second - did we ever actually ask Omast anything while he was sober? Ask him what he meant about things being "his fault"? Cuz Gundar spent a whole day babysitting that bastard.
I can't see it, but I might be missing it.
GM Fuzzfoot |
Unfortunately, the clerics can't tell you much more, other than he had a soft-spot for other half-orcs in the community and was a friend of Rodrik's.

Would one of the talky-dwarves please stand up? :)
Thozar Earthchanter |
Please stand up, please stand up!

*sits down*
GM Fuzzfoot |
I am going to be out for the next two days, so I will pick it up on Monday.
Thozar Earthchanter |
I will be at a convention this Saturday and will be unable to post. Feel free to bot me!
Torith Torson |
Have a fun weekend then all! :)
Thozar Earthchanter |
Thanks! :) I have returned!
Thozar Earthchanter |
It appears we have a consensus to go to the Plague House, correct? GM Fuzzfoot, are there any other potential knowledge checks we can make?
Gundar Forgelight |
Torith, had you seen the note about you finding a trapdoor in the room with the beds? Don't think you've said anything to the group about it yet and I didn't want to assume.
Thozar Earthchanter |
FYI for those who have not heard: the thread tracker for the paizo website is down. New posts in a previously visited thread will not generate notifications until this is fixed.
Torith Torson |
Thanks for the reminder Gundar. I was letting the haunt stuff play out before i added something and now seems a good time to mention what Torith saw.
Torith Torson |
I'm stronly debating with taking a little dip for some trapfinding on Torith. We don't have anyone like that and a 1 level dip to unchained rogue or similar would only slow Torith's rock chuckin' a little while opening up some options for him.
I'll weigh up my options but if anyone has some suggestions i'll gladly read them :)
Kragmyr Grudgekeeper |
How about a dip into urban ranger? Full BaB, better HP and trapfinding.
Or take the feat extra traits and use it for Trap Finder
http://www.d20pfsrd.com/traits/campaign-traits/mummy-s-mask/trap-finder/
"You gain a +1 trait bonus on Disable Device checks, and that skill is always a class skill for you. In addition, you can use Disable Device to disarm magic traps, like a rogue."
Get that and one more trait. Such as highlander for getting +1 stealth and making it a class skill too

Alternatively, given that we have several high constitution dwarves on the team, we could go classic Trap Roomba.
Thozar Earthchanter |
A second vote for trap roomba! Maybe we draw straws for who goes first? ;)
A dip into urban ranger would allow you to use some wands too, if that interests you. Favored enemy would partially make up for some combat prowess. I haven't looked at the kineticist in a while, but I would get a few more goodies before taking the dip.
Torith Torson |
Urban Ranger doesn't get Trapfinding until level 3, so that one is out.
I think i'll just see how we get on without being able to deal with magical traps and maybe pick something up later if needed.
Thanks for the suggestions all :)
Thuradin Drackenforge |
What about a Trapper Ranger? A one level dip would get you Disable Device as a class skill and Trapfinding.
Thozar Earthchanter |
Will wait for my turn in initiative to post.
Thuradin Drackenforge |
I'm going to be out of town with my wife and daughter for the rest of the week. I'll try to keep up by my posting might be more sporadic than usual. I'll be back by Sunday night
Fell free to 'bot me if necessary.
Thozar Earthchanter |
How do you want to handle the rest of us joining combat GM Fuzzfoot?
Gundar Forgelight |

Gah! I hadn't realized that Belir and I posted at the same second. I'd like it on record that I posted the "scream if you find anything" bit before I knew he'd actually scream. ;)
Gundar Forgelight |
I'm suddenly reminded of why I toy with the idea of switching the d20 system to 2d10 instead.... grumble grumble.
Thozar Earthchanter |
The d20 is such a fickle die. Sooooo swingy. That's why I'm a big fan of taking 10.
Kragmyr Grudgekeeper |
By the way, as an invitation to anyone interested in this:
http://trueds.nl/wartales/home.php
It's an online campaign. A mixture of strategy and RPing.
The Story
Centuries ago the dwarven stronghold of Ekrund fell to an orc and goblin horde. Numerous attempts to retake it have met with failure. However, the hold has come under the avaricious eye of the merchants of the city of Marienburg. The men realized that Ekrund sits near a very important trade route, and that controlling it would be profitable. Furthermore, there are many dwarven artifacts lost within its' halls, and the mines of the hold are still rich. As such, they have sent their own expedition to take the hold for themselves.
This, of course, was met with anger by the dwarven kings. Doubly so, as the men of Marienburg told the dwarves that if they aided the expedition, the new human lords of the city would provide the dwarves with favorable trade agreements. Due to this grave insult, the dwarves have once again raised their own army to retake the lost city, as they would rather die than see it in the hands of arrogant humans.
But the men and dwarves are not alone in their feud. The hold itself is still overrun by goblins. And even worse, a large orc army has formed outside, origionally for the purpose of driving the goblins out. Now that they see two large armies converging on the city, they have redoubled their efforts to take the city, as they live for a good scrap.
The Factions
Human merchants of Marienburg (also the only faction an elf would fit into)
The Dwarven reclamation effort
The orcs and goblins
Mechanics
Each turn is 1 week. We all have 1 army which can move and attack different locations within (and outside of) the city.
Nobody knows when the campaign will end, that way no faction can plan for 'one last push' at the end.
In addition to reporting once a turn, players can strategize on where to best report, write letters to NPCs to get benefits/information, and do 'special projects.' These can range from building structures, to whatever your imagination can come up with.
Afterword
I am, of course, in the dwarven faction. I'm throwing this invitation out here, as I find these kinds of campaigns enjoyable, and the community is trying to rebuild it's numbers (there used to be much larger, more complex campaigns, that were run years ago. This campaign is an attempt to revitalize the community). So I'm throwing the invitation out here.
GM Fuzzfoot |
Is everyone still with us? I know this week and next I am sort of swamped with tax time and Easter, but still will post daily if we have a course of action. So far I see Gunder contemplating crawling down a hole, but no one else has chimed in.
Thuradin Drackenforge |
Just waiting for further plot developments.
Torith Torson |
I've been checking in but i didn't really have anything to add either.
Thozar Earthchanter |
Thozar is still delaying, nothing for him to do! Keep it up guys!
Belir |
I will be leaving for vacation in Mexico this weekend and will be gone through the beginning of May. It says I have Wifi there so I should be able to still post once a day at night.
Thuradin Drackenforge |
Enjoy.
Torith Torson |
Have a good time!
GM Fuzzfoot |
Have fun, Belir! If you go quiet, we will just move for you.
Thozar Earthchanter |
Back of the line or near it is good for me.
Thuradin Drackenforge |
Thuradin would prefer middle/ frontish. Third rank would work.

GM: As far as my entangle spell, has there been any vegetation in this basement level to use it? It doesn't matter for this combat, just trying to gauge if it will be on the chopping block for a spontaneous conversion to summon nature's ally.
GM Fuzzfoot |
So far, you have seen no vegetation down here.
