Normally I'd wait for Rhesus to post damage splits first, but Rhesus is traveling, but I have a hunch he's about to go into a coma from the Charisma drain.
I believe it will be 19-6=13/2=7R6C-5=2R11C.
Clement breathes a sigh of relief as he shares little by way of injury through Rhesus but he does notice a glazed look forming in the Shoanti's eyes.
"That can't be good."
Reaching out to pat him on the shoulder, Clement glows with brilliant energy briefly before sharing his most powerful restorative magicks with the barbarian.
Heal on Rhesus, which should max his HP and clear any conditions and ability loss.

The elf's armor deflects arrows and hammer blows, but he is getting worn down.
Cursing he steps back and casts a spell on himself Heal. He becomes reinvigorated and prepares continue to defend his ritual.

Clement barely flinches as the latest attempt to flay Rhesus leaves the smallest scratch on the barbarian to share.
He flinches harder at the squelching sound of Rhesus's latest hammerswing and tries to duck the viscera flying in his general direction.
I don't think Clem needs to take an action here to defeat the cleric, so he'll start to look at the door barring some sort of unexpected threat.
"Spas--- err, Bibs and Koriah? Should we be worried about the breaths this door is taking?"
Clement eyes Kandamereus, hopeful that the mummy isn't about to turn on them.
Sense Motive: 1d20 + 10 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 10 + 2 = 21

GM Fanguar |

People are getting a little ahead of themselves. Retcon incoming.
The huge barbarian crushes the life from the priest. Days of incantations and ritual invocations, held together through Ardathanatus' iron will unravel. As the elf's body colaspses to the floor, the immense doomsday door bursts open.
It crackles with energy and the portal contained within its frame is watery and unfocused, but it is still clear enough for you to gaze upon the baleful presence of the Polymorph Plague himself, Yamasoth!!
Its tentacles rush through, seeking to claim the corpse of its slain champion.

One tentacle latches on the corpse.
As much as the undead can panic, Kandamereus does. "Close the door. Close it!"
He moves to one of the great double doors, to do so. Thinking that sound advice, Koriah follows suit to the other.
The party is up. Just a friendly DM reminder that Ardathanatus had the shard of envy on his person, you probably don't want to lose his corpse.

Sorry for the delay. Had some traveling that affected my ability to post more than I anticipated.
@Clem: If you have freedom of movement available, you can cast it on the corpse. We can retcon the action. You guys can just try to tug it free with a combat maneuver check. We can retcon the actions as needed.
The Yamasoth opens his maw, revealing his vile red eye. His foul gaze filters through the wavery portal. Anyone that can see the portal make a DC 27 fort saving throw.

Spasi, still mousing around in the back, does not see the portal, but waits and ponders how screwed he is.

Clement Twice-Born |

Fort: 1d20 + 7 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 7 + 2 = 17 (heroism) vs DC 27

GM Fanguar |

Between Clem's spell and Rhesus' brawn, you manage to pry the cleric's corpse from the qlippoth lord's grasp. Unfortunately, the Polymorph Plague's foul gaze twists the forms of Clement and Bibic.
They are reshaped. Their bodies swell and twist into strange new forms. In their places now stand a manticore and a phase spider. Whoever posts first can choose their new form. It's a polymorph effect.
The gateway swirls and begins to suck in air, kicking up a fierce wind. A roar of rage rises up from beyond the portal. The watery vision of Yamasoth begins to flicker and its tentacles retract. The doors being closed by Koriah and Kandamereus are caught by the wind and slam shut with a deafening boom.
Kandamereus shouts,"Quickly, we must lock them once more with the keys." If no one else does so, Koriah and the mummy will lock the doors with the doomsday keys.

Spasi Gaten |

Spasi continues to run in circles, but then eventually stops if the sounds of combat fade. He will fly up, slowly, but stop at the blade barrier, waiting for it to fall.
This is really weird. Not sure what is going on.

Clement Twice-Born |

I'll let Bibs be the spider, it's more elf-ey (driders right?)
Clement works to juggle his shield so he can assist with the door's locking only to discover instead of a hand he now has... a paw?
Looks like they can still speak.
"What the..??"
Clement looks around for the Spasi-mouse and quickly realizes that Bibic has joined the trio of not-quite-themselves.
Studying his new form, Clement tries to figure out how to best utilize it for the moment.
Can the tail spikes be used as pitons to help pin the door shut? :0

Bibic |

Bibic eagerly helps grab the body, but as he looks in the eye his mind and body twist and contort until he finds himself looking down on the company.
He reaches out to close the chamber door and sees his spidery appendages. He looks down... mandibles.
He starts, sensibly enough, by screaming and thrashing about! "AAaaahhhhh!"
(Not sure if I can speak. The creature can speak Aklo, so maybe it's got enough of a mouth and such to speak common? Let me know. Also, what do I see when I look at myself and the others with True Seeing? It's still going.)

GM Fanguar |

@Bibic:I would imagine that with a listed language, it has the capacity to speak, so you should be able to. As for what you see when you look at the others, I dunno, I guess whatever people can see when they look at a polymorphed individual while under the effects of true seeing. I mean you know its a spell effect, I guess.
@Clem: I guess so.
The doors closed and locked once more, the Grotean temple is silent once more.
Kandamereus pockets the doomsday keys, unless someone tries to prevent him from doing so. Thassilonian"That cursed elf tried to create a gate to his master's realm. He nearly succeeded. Thank you for your aid in stopping him. As thanks, I will try to undo that abomination's foul magic, but it may take some time."
Koriah looks over the managerie that now makes up the party, "You guys still in there? You're not real monsters right?" She raises a sword. "Speak now or be prepared to be stabbed."
Checking over the body of fallen elf turns up a bunch of stuff.
#Lootz: +1 adamantine full plate, flaying halberd, belt of physical might +4 (Str, Con), cloak of resistance +2, headband of inspired wisdom +2, Shard of Envy (Putting this here so I don't forget, but this +1 moderate fortification horacalcum full plate armor is what the efreeti smith was working on. She finished it and I assume that the party would check out the forge on their way out. It's worth 77,500 gp)
Flaying Halberd Aura strong necromancy; CL 13th
Slot none; Price 24,310 gp; Weight 12 lbs.
DESCRIPTION:
A flaying halberd is a +1 halberd that can be used to slice off large swaths of a creature’s skin. In combat, a character can denote a maximum of one attack per round to be a flaying strike. This attack deals normal damage, but the resulting wound is particularly painful as skin is torn away from the target’s body. This causes an additional 1d6 points of bleed damage, and as long as a victim suffers from this bleed damage, it is staggered. A successful DC 15 Fortitude save made at the time the flaying strike occurs negates the bleed damage and staggered condition. The bleed effect can be stopped by a successful DC 15 Heal check or any spell that cures hit point damage. A flaying strike that results in a critical hit also deals 1d4 points of Charisma damage (no save) to the victim. Creatures immune to ability damage and critical hits are immune to flaying strikes.
The Shard of Envy is made of shimmering green noqual. As long as the Shard of Envy is carried, its owner can use dispel magic as a spell-like ability once per day, gains a +2 insight bonus on saves versus abjuration spells and spell-like abilities, and gains a +1 insight bonus to AC.

Bibic |

Bibic is quiet a moment as he sorts out, in his own head, what has happened. He eventually looks up and answers Koriah.
"I can see us all, we are but polymorphed. I have no way of getting us out of this condition however... Clement? Can you help us?"
"If not, we may need someone to go buy some scrolls. I do not think we should return to society with these forms."
Bibic will take the cloak of resistance +2 if no one minds.
(What do we need for this? Break Enchantment is on my list of things to learn, just haven't yet - though if we're leveling up, I'll learn it. 'course, I probably can't cast spells in this form...)

Rhesus Ghawn |

Rhesus waits in confusion, unable to undo the effects of the polymorph.
"Hey, anybody seen Spasi? I bet he could do something about this."

Spasi Gaten |

Spasi squeaks and runs in circles, waiting for the blade barrier to end. When he can get closer, he will.
He can’t do s@&* about his current predicament.

Clement Twice-Born |

Clem-icore sits on his haunches, seeming to smiling as he does so but taking care to not smother Spasi-mouse.
"Nope, that's not magic I've infused myself with - dispelling such effects... knowing both you and Spasi can usually do so?"
Clement knows it's been a long day and wonders if Bibic's abilities have been drained at this point. He eyes Kandamereus as the keys are pocketed, but does little to stop the mummy, knowing that with only Rhesus as himself (and possibly charmable), they really can't offer much objection without risk.
Clement paws at the shard for a moment, feeling slightly envious of Spasi's form and the mouse's ability to grab things. He slides the shard towards Rhesus with his paw.
"Perhaps you and Koriah take the shard to Sheila while we see what we can do to get a scroll to return Spasi to himself? Do you guys think he could write if we got him a pen?"

Rhesus Ghawn |

The Shoanti rubs his hand over his head and frowns.
"I can break spells when I'm angry, but I think I have to hit you with my earthbreaker to do that."
I don't see that they'd take damage from this:
Spell Sunder (Su)
Prerequisite: Barbarian 6, witch hunter rage power
Benefit: Once per rage, the barbarian can attempt to sunder an ongoing spell effect by succeeding at a combat maneuver check. For any effect other than one on a creature, the barbarian must make her combat maneuver check against a CMD of 15 plus the effect’s caster level. To sunder an effect on a creature, the barbarian must succeed at a normal sunder combat maneuver against the creature’s CMD + 5, ignoring any miss chance caused by a spell or spell-like ability. If successful, the barbarian suppresses the effect for 1 round, or 2 rounds if she exceeded the CMD by 5 to 9. If she exceeds the CMD by 10 or more, the effect is dispelled.

Spasi Gaten |

Spasi squeaks and runs away from the hammer, happy to let another be struck to mush by the weapon.
It would be amazing if that worked. And since manticores can speak, I think they can spellcast just fine.

Bibic |

I don't think manticores or phase spiders can do the somatics. Verbal is covered I agree, but I think we need to get someone to cast these spells on us, or at least one of us.
Our polymorphs are not, I think, ongoing spell effects. They are instantaneous spells aren't they? So I'm not sure spell sunder will do the trick, but I dunno there.
Bibic suggests, "We should get going, I don't want to get stuck in this form. I think, thankfully, we're done here, other than the crafting we want to pick up." he manages a grin at that one, but it looks very strange on a spider.
"I can sneak into town and get help, if there's someone there that can anyway. Sneaking is something I'm rather good at now..." he flitters between the material and ethereal planes just to get a sense of how easy it is.

Clem sadly doesn't have dispel magic as he assumed either Spasi or Bibic would be around to dispel the other.
Don't forget that belt upgrade, Rhesus!
Clement lays down, somehow now finding that to be a natural position when he's not moving.
He smacks his lips as he considers Spasi-mouse, feeling the hunger induced by his own shard course through his veins briefly before it subsides thankfully due to the ioun stone's wards.
"I'd say, we're probably not that strange walking about Kaer Maga..."

Rhesus Ghawn |

"Yeah, Kaer Maga probably won't care I guess."
He looks regretfully at the Spasimouse.
Rhesus will take the belt if nobody else wants it, putting his own +2 Con belt into the pool.

Spasi Gaten |

If we can speak, then we can cast spells. The matter then becomes whether we have the appropriate components to cast. Sadly, Spasi pouch is into his new form, as is Clem’s holy symbol, but those might not be necessary for Break Enchantment or the like. Might be that Mr. Pathfinder can break the spell. Would prefer to teleport rather than squeak/walk back to Kaer Maga.
Spasi squeaks things of importance, but no one seems to understand.

@Rhesus/all: I don't see why you couldn't use spell sunder to dispel the the polymorph effect, it's ongoing. Clem and Bibic's effects are caster level 20, so CMD of 45 to dispel. Spasi's is just CL11 so 36 to dispel. The shard of envy can also cast dispel magic once per day at 20th level. It's curse is nullified by the dusty rose prism.
Your mummy buddy can also dispel the magic, but is out of spells. There are also the trio of surviving abbey clerics in the lighthouse that could do it, but I think that rage smashing the spells is a lot cooler.
Ok folks, this effectively ends this part of the AP. We can do a little wrap up RP before we move on, but the short term goal will be to return to Magnimar to report to your venture captain Sheila Heidmarch, and pick the next ioun stone. As a reminder, focusing on the shard of envy will provide an image of the next shard's location.
Koriah is available as a cohort, if anyone is interested the leadership feat.
Lastly, in defeating Ardathanatus and closing the gate to Sekatar-Seraktis, you have gained enough experience to advance to level 13. DING!

Bibic |

Bibic stays in the physical realm and lines up for Rhesus' smashing eagerly when he discovers it's an option. "Brilliant!" he hisses through his mandibles.
While he's waiting, he leans over to Clement and says quietly, when others are out of earshot, "Hey, Clem, what do you think of having Koriah hang about a little longer? If we can keep her out of the direct line of fire a bit, she could be helpful I think. Maybe act as a rear guard/hole plugger when we're up against a bunch of mooks. Will you heal her if she stays?"
He awaits his reply and considers how he'll broach the topic with Spasi. Of course he must ask Koriah too, but one must lay the groundwork first.
GM Fanuar, I dropped you a PM about Leadership. Not sure Bibic is going to take it, but want to see what we're looking at.

Clement Twice-Born |

Still adjusting to having arms and hands again, Clement rewards Bibic with a goofy grin but keeps his voice low out of respect for the elf's inquiry.
"Oh yeah, keep Koriah around a little longer? To help with combat and stuff, right?"
He nudges Bibic with his elbow.
"Sure, we can do that for ya, Bibs."
+1 for Bibic recruiting his elven maiden.
I imagine once Spasi is freed we can teleport to Magnimar to expedite the whole process.
As the group prepares for their teleportation, Clement waves to the Kanda-mummy.
"See ya around, Kanda! Don't do anything super evil, okay?"

Rhesus Ghawn |

Rhesus will happily attempt to slap the spells out of his friends.
If I read this right I actually just need their CMD+15? 17 rages left today so 17 attempts. I'll start with Spasi since he has casting to assist.
Sunder: 1d20 + 24 ⇒ (11) + 24 = 35
Sunder: 1d20 + 24 ⇒ (14) + 24 = 38
Sunder: 1d20 + 24 ⇒ (20) + 24 = 44
Sunder: 1d20 + 24 ⇒ (5) + 24 = 29
Sunder: 1d20 + 24 ⇒ (14) + 24 = 38
Sunder: 1d20 + 24 ⇒ (14) + 24 = 38
Sunder: 1d20 + 24 ⇒ (15) + 24 = 39
Sunder: 1d20 + 24 ⇒ (6) + 24 = 30
Sunder: 1d20 + 24 ⇒ (1) + 24 = 25
Sunder: 1d20 + 24 ⇒ (14) + 24 = 38
Sunder: 1d20 + 24 ⇒ (4) + 24 = 28
Sunder: 1d20 + 24 ⇒ (3) + 24 = 27
Sunder: 1d20 + 24 ⇒ (13) + 24 = 37
Sunder: 1d20 + 24 ⇒ (4) + 24 = 28
Sunder: 1d20 + 24 ⇒ (8) + 24 = 32
Sunder: 1d20 + 24 ⇒ (17) + 24 = 41
Sunder: 1d20 + 24 ⇒ (17) + 24 = 41
So Spasi for sure and possibly the others, if it's the higher difficulty then even my nat 20 doesn't work.

Spasi Gaten |

I’m pretty sure Spasi’s CMD is in the low teens while in rat form. But I’m also sure he’s not excited to be smashed with Rhesus’ hammer and is running away and squeaking up a s#!#storm. I feel sorry for the walls and floors as Rhesus tries to pound Ratsi into Spasi again.
Assuming it works, when Spasi returns to form, he can teleport us back to Kaer Maga. Spasi can take 5 yahoos total.
If he’s able to speak, ”Let’s get all the loot! All of it before we go. I don’t want to have to come back to this festering s+%*hole,” Spasi announces before realizing the mummy priest was still there. ”No offense, but you couldn’t pay me enough to want to be entombed down here. This place sucks.”

Clement Twice-Born |

The CMD starts at 15+20(CL)=35 not the mouse CMD.
Rhesus breaks Spasi on the 1st try (the 35) but it's only suppressed for 2 rounds, then the 38 permanently dispels Spasi's.
If you moved to Bibic next (who also has dispels?) the 44 beats the CMD35 target by 9 so it frees Bibic for 2 rounds til he returns. CMD35-40 frees someone from the CL20 effect for 1 round, CMD41-45 frees them for 2 rounds, and CMD46+ would free them permanently.
You'd add your Heroism for another +2 so I'd calculate you at +27 with that and your earthbreaker. Anything that provides an attack bonus also improves your CMB so if Bibic inspires while he's out temporarily I see you as high as +30 which is enough to make the roll of 14 achieve the dispel against CMD44.
12 (BAB)
+9 (27 raging Str)
+2 (feat)
+1 (earthbreaker +1)
+1 (shard)
--
25 subtotal
+3 inspire
+2 heroism
--
30 grand total (bless, haste, etc can be added too if additional +1s are needed; ironically even flanks and aid anothers too)

Bibic |

I haven't leveled up yet (nearly done) but when I do, I can Break Enchantment on two of us (out of Dispel Magic slots today). Also, happy to inspire Rhesus to pound on the party!
Break Enchantment caster check: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (3) + 13 = 16 vs DC 11+caster level of effect
Break Enchantment caster check: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (14) + 13 = 27 vs DC 11+caster level of effect
So the second one might work to help keep Rhesus from crushing us all.
When Spasi is human again, or close to it anyway, he'll suggest, privately, "We should bring Koriah with if she wants to come. Might be worth having her around a bit. What do you think?" he asks casually.
When Rhesus is done pounding him into the ground, he talked to him as well (once he's calmed down). "So, Rhesus, what do you think of Koriah? I think she might be useful to have around. Maybe as a rear guard to take some of the flanking pressure of you and Clement and protect Spasi and I better?"

GM Fanguar |

Clem has a nice breakdown of the possibilities with the buffing. Mathematically, Rhesus can dispel the polymorphs, though it might take a day or two depending on luck. The party isn't in any danger or under time constraints, so we can just handwave it.
While Spasi can teleport everyone back to the city, I would imagine that the party would return topside to report on the situation to the surviving priests. One of these is Koriah's father, so if she is joining up, she definitely will want to say goodbye first. We can RP this if people want, or just say we did and move on.
