The journal entries become increasingly jumbled going forward. References to a “flesh beast” recur multiple times until Yex begins referring to this same creature as “master.”
Maudlin praise of the creature as a higher power suddenly gives way to gibberish written in no known language. The journal’s final entry simply reads, “Yex keep scratchies away so master finally make Yex into skree YES.”
between the grave words and these writing you can assume Yex encountered a skreesire.
You know Skreesires are large, neutral evil, aberrations. Skreesires are insidious horrors that lurk in the rocky reaches of the universe. looking over the cliff to the east and west you see piles of what looks like space dust that has accumulated in the cavernous areas of the canyon wall. there appears to be something sticking out of the dust to east of the cliff.

Handsome flips open the journal and begins reading. "Mmmm hmmm... Uh huh.... I see... Huh. Pfffft...! Oh whatevers!" Handsome rolls his eyes and throws the journal over his back while he rummages around for looking for loot.
After a few minutes, he looks up at the rest of the party and says, "What? Don't you all read Sarcesian? I thought everybody reads Sarcesian!
"Okay okay. So long story short. This guy we just slaughtered is named Yes. But unlike what his name implies, he's no Yes man. In fact, he's some kind of spoiled teenage brat who got all pissed and emo with some folks. So he decided he'd show them a thing or two and ran away from home to this godsforsaken rock.
"While here, he just started going insane cuz, y'know, lonely, horny, emo, teenage kid all by himself. Like duh he's gonna go insane, amirite?!?!? So then he starts writing about a flesh beast, which I'm sure is something he just tugged on one too many times, if ya know what I mean...

"All of the ones we've encountered, but I'm sure there are plenty of breeds that have formed other attack appendages. We saw one that grew wings. Also who cares if they can do stuff for you? Hi-C leads the party safely back down the cliff and around the corner. To the north and sound you can see more drifts of silvery ash but a thin rock formations here curve almost elegantly to form the rough shapes of caves and tunnels, with piles of the ash nestled against them like snow drifts.
"Yeah that wasn't a dog, more of a nightmare come to life"he says with a confused look.

the cave itself is dark and without darkvision or a light source you cannot see anything outside the aproxiamate foot of ash and space dust on the floor of the cave opening.
Those with darvision see that the ash piled against the rock faces is much more uneven than elsewhere on the asteroid, ranging from a foot deep to 4 or 5 feet deep.

These are Skreelings! because you IDed the Skreesire its pretty easy to figure out what these are. you know that Skreelings are neutral evil small aberrations.
Brutal and shrewd, skreelings are the immature offspring of skreesires, but they have not yet developed the full mental abilities of their progenitors. Skreeling siblings hunt in packs, pooling their nascent fighting abilities, and they are much stronger when they work together. DR34-M12 expertly tracks the erratic movement of the red screeling and nails it with an overcharged blast! while it does seem to have hurt the creature, it seems the monster has some resistance or reduction to the damage.
