As the Aspis fall, Tomas notices a glittering Ruby falling from one's belt pouch.
Tomas finds another Ruby, and Galmar, being sharp eyed, sees a Ruby fall from the grasp of two other people fighting over it, and it slides under the table to close to him. He's able to grab it with ease. Galmar grabs another Ruby.

A quick look around shows you three areas of egress: The front doors (which probably will not be feasible, as the amount of people crammed there makes moving through the crowd almost impossible), a large window on the side of the tavern (which will need to be broken, but not as many people there as the door), and a square hole in the middle of the tavern that leads down to the sea below. As you begin to look, you hear a voice from the crowd.

Hey! Those guys there just grabbed two more!

Now that you know where to go to leave, what shall you do? Everyone but Tomas and Galmar can still take a move and a standard action, Tomas and Galmar only have a move action left.

Without warning, loud slamming noises echo through the tavern, even over the fray of the combat within. Moments later, the front doors rupture in a shower of splinters. In full battle regalia, a contingent of Absalom’s First Guard rush into the room. Swinging heavy chains and nets, they beat into the brawlers en mass, dragging dozens to the floor. The remainder of the contestants break from their opponents, and the crowd devolves into a raging mob as all race frantically for the nearest exit to avoid arrest.

If you are no longer in the tavern, this is more for your awareness...

Having grabbed the fallen Cleric's ruby, Tomas looks it over only briefly before he stores it away in his pouch. Feeling the change in the room more than hearing it, he starts as the splinters shower and the combatants beginning to panic. Thinking quickly he dives through the hole in the floor feeling the ice cold water of the Sea rushing up over him. Able to breath thanks to Popol's spell the Warpriest starts to swim.

As the guard breaks into the tavern and starts beating down the brawlers, everyone leaps into the water below the Devil's Dreg, escaping notice. The fall below is a little bit of a drop, and the sudden THWACK!! as you all hit the water is a little more than disconcerting.

I'm on mobile for the next couple of hours, but I do remember that there is some non-lethal damage for hitting the water, and a mechanic for making it to the shore. I'll have that post up in a bit, once I'm back to my laptop.

The open hole in the center of the floor is a 15-foot fall to the water’s surface, and the harbor is 20 feet deep at this point. The water outside the bay windows along the tavern’s south wall is 30 feet deep.

Basically, there isn't enough here to warrant making you do anything out of the ordinary to make it back to the shore.

Once you finish swimming out of the harbor and into the city proper, you can see the town guard arresting multiple people from the brawl, and many more fleeing the scene, some clutching rubies, others chasing after them.

Following the directions given to you by your tengu liaison, you arrive just past dusk at the shipping house. Soon enough, a small crowd of would-be contestants begins to gather.

Approaching the entrance you spot a dishevelled, barefooted man dressed in plain sackcloth leaning in the shallow doorway. As you draw nearer, he slowly raises his head to examine the crowd. Then, grinning a toothy smile, he holds out his hand and asks “Any of you happen to find a ruby?”

The crowd excitedly signals their affirmative response and several glowing rubies are thrust into the air, there is an electric vibe flowing through the assembled host and everyone seems very ready for action.

The man nods and pushes the door open. Then he holds out a sack to collect the rubies of those seeking entry. As the various contestants enter, he directs them towards a flight of stairs near the back of the warehouse. These stairs descend into a wide and shadowy basement converted into a crude, make-shift arena illuminated by a ring of greasy-scented torches. The main floor is cleared of all objects save for a dusting of sand and straw that covers the cold stone floor. An assortment of contestants have already arrived, anxiously scanning the room. Almost all in attendance are recognizable from the previous night’s brawl.

From across the arena floor strides Kiang Zhen, the terrifying creature who represents Sifu Xho Nuo. Clapping her massive, clawed hands, she calls for silence, and with a low growl addresses the entire room as she runs her hands over her gruesome golden horns.

“Bringing defeat upon your perceived adversaries is only part of what it takes to walk the path of a truly great warrior. A true master sees beyond his adversaries; he sees the war and not just the battle. Last night, I watched how all of you were quick and eager to fight one another—therefore today... today I shall see how you fight together! Let’s see how well you can keep each other alive!” As she finishes this exuberant and enigmatic statement, smoke flashes erupt throughout the arena, and several dozen hidden trapdoors suddenly spring open, unleashing a horde of otherworldly beasts!

The Naga is immune to poison and mind control, and has spell resistance.

Dark nagas covet luxury, wealth, and power over others. With bodies covered by shimmering, eel-like black scales, dark nagas slither deftly through forsaken lands and abandoned ruins, scouring such places for treasures and weaker creatures they might force into service. Their forked tongues spread only lies, and others whom they can't manipulate they destroy with their insidious poison and destructive magical abilities. A typical dark naga measures approximately 12 feet long and weighs upward of 300 pounds. Arrogant and sybaritic, dark nagas seek to dominate lesser creatures, relishing the fear they inspire and power over other beings. While some manage to carve indulgent fiefdoms from tribes of goblins, orcs, lizardfolk, or other barbarous races, the luster of cosmopolitan fineries proves enticing as well, leading some to infiltrate city sewers and slums to gather an urban following. They particularly relish morbidly crafted jewelry and treasures, often adorning themselves with jeweled bands or taking their ease atop piles of treasure. Dark nagas hate others of their kind, especially other dark nagas, seeing their brethren as deadly opponents to be dispatched swiftly and mercilessly—often rightly so.

You think you can best me with such a simple spell? Feel my wrath, all of you!

Stepping back to place the pillar behind him and to make it harder to be surrounded by the Oni, Tomas keeps his focus on the rearing Naga. With a quick blessing to Cayden Cailean, Tomas feels divine might flow through his arms giving him greater accuracy.
