Vladek steps back and gestures theatrically at three of the ancient statues standing sentinel over the chamber.
"I'm sure your friends here would be happy to help quicken your education!"
With that, they step off their pedestals and converge upon the fallen Paladin!

Remember, the additional attacks for the constructs are only available on a full attack action.
Rok takes a running leap from the balcony, landing just onto Dalla with a resounding thud. The paladin's armor is quite strong, but his bite tears into the fallen paladin and keeps hold, shield arm firmly in his maw.
Theodric steps in with bravado after activating his protective item as Magor steps in and further wards Evad.
Vladek brings the library literally crashing in on Ermias, but the shelves and table have little effect on the armored warrior.
Sinuhotep betrays the group, but is brought to his knees by the ever-vigilant tiger as Qadathra moves to strengthen the duelist.
"Destroy that tiger beast first!" Tahari screams.
Tahonikepsu nods stoically then roars as she grows to full dragon size, laughing at the thin-ish elf to her side. "Bookshelves? You fool." She then proceeds to destroy the entirety of the chamber with a blast of unadulterated fury. area in yellow

Rok sidesteps the sphere of fire as his magnificent fur coat discharges the electric breath harmlessly. I'm assuming she will pass the SR check.
From that breath weapon, can I assume that the sages are going to use their auto-hit simplified rules for this fight? If so that lich will be auto-hitting with his paralyzing attack, that is a problem.
Vladek, does the Ward Hex remain until discharged?

Theodric activates his slotted Clear Spindle Ioun Stone's resonant power!
Standard Action (1/day), Protection from Evil, 12 min duration
He then steps forward, drawing his falcata as he goes, and tells the paladin the following, "Sir, I believe you deserve an honorable death. Face me, and see your servitude ended and your eternal rest granted!"
Next round: Theodric in position to provide flanking bonus to Rok or Grandmaster Torch, depending on future positioning...
Since the above now happened in the free surprise round for buffs discussed by GM Erich, here is my actions for round 1, which occurred before we all got blasted by the dragon and the super ghost lady and before the animated bookshelves arrived (i.e. not sickened yet and saves against dragon breath will be provided beginning of round 2). Therefore, flanking position with Rok would have been established.
Theodric 5-foot steps to the east to establish flanking with Rok, and proceeds to full-attack, starting with an attempt to disarm Ermias:
OFF-HAND:
BucklerCatch+Disarm+GreaterDisarm, bless, bull's STR, TWF, flanking: 1d20 + 26 + 1 + 2 - 2 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 26 + 1 + 2 - 2 + 2 = 49
If disarm successful, Ermias' weapon lands 15 feet away from him, in the following direction (1 is towards Rok) 1d8 ⇒ 6 and Theodric takes a swift action via Break Guard feat to attack Ermias with the falcata:
Keen Falcata +1, bless, bull's STR, TWF, flanking: 1d20 + 23 + 1 + 2 - 2 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 23 + 1 + 2 - 2 + 2 = 39 for 1d8 + 13 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 13 + 2 = 19 magical and slashing damage.
MAIN-HAND:
1st attack:
Keen Falcata +1, bless, bull's STR, TWF, flanking: 1d20 + 23 + 1 + 2 - 2 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 23 + 1 + 2 - 2 + 2 = 29 for 1d8 + 13 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 13 + 2 = 22 magical and slashing damage.
2nd attack:
Keen Falcata +1, bless, bull's STR, TWF, flanking: 1d20 + 23 + 1 + 2 - 2 - 5 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 23 + 1 + 2 - 2 - 5 + 2 = 22 for 1d8 + 13 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 13 + 2 = 21 magical and slashing damage.

Hoping this is not the end of Theodric, but here we go:
At the end of his weapons routine against Ermias and satisfied that he is now disarmed and perhaps a bit less dangerous, Theodric enters the mindscape of the Topaz Sage that's right next to him [free action].
@GM Erich: I tried putting the disarmed weapon on the map, but saw you removed it. I was under the impression that a natural 20 on a combat maneuver meant it is successful, same way it works with attack rolls. Apologies if I misunderstood. Please note that due to action reshuffling Theodric's pro vs. evil buff went off in surprise round and the disarming went on in round 1 before spells and breath weapons went off (I believe Ermias was still flat-footed as well, something I did not mention in my post above). Sorry for all the back and forth: I believe initiative order will resume to normal in Round 2+. Thank you for running this incredibly complex scenario!

Rok breathes a sigh of relief as the heat shimmers deflect the ray.

"wwelume vaak" Rok attempts to great Theo with his jaw wrapped around the lich.

Fort Save: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (12) + 11 = 23
Wonder if Death Ward effects this?
Feel like that may be very close...considering using my reroll, going to look through my boons and see if anything might help.

fortitude: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (9) + 16 = 25 +3 vs. poison, spells, and spell-like abilities, +2 vs. enchantments, +4 vs. fey and plant-targeted effects, +3 vs. death
DR/5 evil. Can he bypass it?

![]() |

@Rok Ah, it is negative energy (per lich), not physical damage. So damage would be eaten up by your Nexus Crystal but still need the save.
@Evad Death Ward: "Death ward does not protect against other sorts of attacks, even if those attacks might be lethal". Unless the spell has the Death descriptor, or the text explicitly says 'this is a death attack/effect', it isn't.

Re: Death Ward -- just checking, no worries.
I will use a boon!
6-18: From Under Ice; Ice Jewel Recovery
I did buy the greater ice diamond shard, so +3 to the check for 26. Fingers crossed!
As the air pulls from his lungs, the greater ice diamond shard that Tahonikepsu, then an ally, infused with magical power, tries to absorb the harmful magic!

Rogar's Bralani azata show's up and casts gust of wind which should blow the fog cloud away?
can I see the sage jewels? "o" and "s"? or the ghost?

![]() |

It takes a round to disperse it. Cloud will move one more time (on Tahari's turn) then disappear right before your turn next time. So vision is still obscured.

![]() |

I'm Assuming the save will have a big impact on my turn; so waiting to post until the result is known.

![]() |

Evad feels the ice diamond shard shatter, but his lungs hold on to a reasonable amount of air. Gasping for more air, he reacts.staggered this turn
Rogar still has to act as well

![]() |

Clinging to the air left in his lungs, Evad reaches down into his being, he slows everything down, counting each breath. Focus, focus, breath Something is churning inside him, an inner force that he feels is a gift from Gozrah.
Readied action -- if Tahari begins to cast a spell
As Tahari begins to casts her spell, electricity flies from Evad mouth.
Standard - spend 2 Ki, Cast Dragon's Breath (60' line Blue Dragon Electricity)
DC20 Reflex for half
Dragon's Breath Electricity: 10d6 ⇒ (3, 1, 3, 1, 6, 6, 3, 2, 4, 1) = 30

Sinuhotep is stopped by the tiger before he can progress, and his protection negated. Tahari's spells are likewise ineffective, which only enrages her more.
With possibly his final action, the evil courses through the ex-paladin once again and he lets out a blast of acidic spray as he yells out. "Take me from this world!"
acid damage: 6d6 ⇒ (3, 1, 3, 3, 4, 6) = 20 Reflex DC 19 half from Theo and Vladek
Rogar and Evad wait patiently for the situation to develop.
The div struggles against Rok's hold and cannot find an avenue to harm him.

claw: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (13) + 17 = 30

Evad (delay poison, mage armor, darkvision, death ward, barkskin, bless, protection from evil, staggered) <readied action if Tahari casts>
@Rogar if you wait for the cloud to disperse so you can see things, it will pass over you and force you to make a save before it dissipates. Just want to make sure you understand that.

Reflex Save vs. DC 19: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (5) + 8 = 13
With a grunt, his head swimming with pain from the massive electrical and acid burns over all his body, Theodric takes a step forward and enters the mindscape of Grandmaster Torch.
free action

Theodric goes limp once again, as he edges closer to Pharasma's door.
You can offer Torch aid, console him, or even lead him to safety with Diplomacy, Heal, Sense Motive, or Survival checks.
Make three checks using any of those you want to (can be the same skill). Bonuses for good-roleplay.
Full round action to interact with him this round.

The shelves continue to throw the book...after book...after book...at the fallen paladin.
I suppose I'm not supposed to increase their attack rolls for hitting a prone target, given that that's technically a penalty to AC.

If the above is enough to take down Ermias Dalla, the table will attack Sinuhotep instead; if it isn't the table will continue attacking Ermias Dalla too.

damage: 1d6 + 9 ⇒ (2) + 9 = 11
Vladek's Reflex save: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (19) + 7 = 26
Vladek manages to avoid the worst of the corrosive wave with preternatural alacrity, though he still gets pretty badly burned.
He uses his chronomantic powers to unmake some of his injuries before flying up and away to what he hopes is a moment's safety (being 20' in the air should put me far enough above that poison cloud, shouldn't it?).
